We should do Writing because we only need 35 in Writing to reach 100 in Imagination but would need 40 in Smithing to do the same.

No, actually. The total ranking in imagination is accumulative from all invention skills.

In other words, we will only get a 35 rank maximum worth of accumulative rank from writing. On the other hand, smithing can give a maximum of 100 rank accumulation.

We had 5 skill in both Music and Writing for quiet some time but were not given points in Imagination until we got both to level ten so either Burning made a mistake or you are wrong.

It's cumulative points, if I remember correctly burning did give us 5 points in imagination even if music and writing were separeted.

I clearly remember that the character sheet did not give us 5 Imagination for have 5 Writing and 5 Music. It was only when we gained 10 in each stat that the character sheet give us Imagination for them.

I actually remember that he did count those points in the total for imagination, but it's better to ask burning to be sure.

Every 10 in one creation stat is 5 imagination.

Looks like I was right. Also Kerfirou the maximum we can gain in Writing is 45 points not 35, we only need 35 in Writing to achieve 100 in Imagination since we already have 10 in Music. We would need to gain 40 in Smithing to obtain the 20 Imagination we need to get to 100 Imagination.

I think it is fairly obvious that every time we get 10 in One creation stat we get five Imagination. I don't mean to be a dick about it but I just want us to make an informed decision.
I will say the truth and say you're being pretty irritating. I'm not denying you could be saying the truth, I just want to clarify for good.
I may be blunt, but now I'm annoyed as fuck.

I am honestly sorry for annoying you as I never meant to annoy you. I was just trying to point out something and never meant to antagonize you. I apologize for upsetting you, especially as I normally find both your and Kerfirou's opinions add much to a quest but just believe in this instance you were unaware of a drawback of the plan that was most popular at the time. Training Smithing does have it's advantages as it would give the possibility to gain a new talent, especially if we get a critical, but I felt training in writing was the safest way to get to 100 Imagination which I felt that our end goal was.

Watch, I just had a bad day so I'm sorry for my behavior, but I'll probably stick with smithing unless everyone changes their votes, mostly because I think we could gain utility from the smithing skill, maybe regarding the forging of Oversouls.
I'm pretty sure we can roll good enough to max it anyway.

You will probably the one to roll it, anyways.

It's very late here, And I need to go to sleep for work tomorrow.

Unless the votes closing in more than 8 hours later.

And I'll Stick to Smithing. I also think it will be more useful when we need to make some katanas or weapon, and when Forging the OS.

This school year you decided to study independently, specifically you decided to study smithing.

[1d100+6=91]

[Smithing increases to 45]

You managed to learn the basics and can form a lump of metal into the rough shape of a sword, however you weren't going to be making any masterpieces anytime soon.

[Imagination is now 100]

As the days went by you made sure to visit the local cemetery at night so as to commune with the spirits there and try to get them to pass on naturally.

Yet one day you hear a voice yell, "Of course!"

Turning from your vantage point you see, what could only be described as a kiddie dwarf starting to climb the cemetery gate, your Reishi telling you that despite the bad feeling he has he plans to cut through the cemetery so he can make it to the train on time for him to reach his cram school.

Do you say anything to him as he climbs the gate.

AN: I have no excuse the muse here was pretty dead, hopefully the later updates will be better.

You guys know the drill; tell me of any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, if you guys are having fun, and that you guys be sure to vote.
