Yoh Asakura Quest (Shaman King)

The Cying Sword
You figured that you could work as a Diviner at the Inn to help bring in customers of all kinds...though you may need to increase the size of the inn as it could be considered rather small, at least if most of your customers stay the night at the inn.

Anyways you decided to head to the local museum to see the rumored 'Crying Sword' when you arrive you find a heavily damaged sword that was said to belong to 'The Demon' Amidamaru.

The sword wasn't just rusted or chipped, it possessed deep cracks running all around its blade.

As you gazed at the blade you could definitely feel the presence of a spirit, though it was highly muted at the moment.

You figured the secret behind the mystery would be revealed at night, when the sword supposedly 'cries'.

Thus you informed the museum curator of you status as an official Onmyouji and ask him for permission to stay within the museum to get to the bottom of the 'Crying Sword' phenomenon.

Once night fell you finally saw the spirit that was haunted the sword as it cried.

The spirit was of a thick shouldered adult, most likely a blacksmith considering his garb and the hammer he had in his hands.

As he cried softly over the sword, your Reishi picked up on his regrets, on how he failed to meet up with his friend Amidamaru and give him the very blade he was shedding tears over. The belief that because of his failure his friend died.

While you can read the spirits, Mosuke's, heart you do not know who Amidamaru is. The only ghost that might be him would probably be that solitary samurai spirit in the cemetery but what are the chances that he'd be buried here, if at all?

How do you plan to solve this?

[ ] Confirm the identity of the Samurai first
[ ] Talk with Mosuke
[ ] Just Exorcise the spirit.

AN: Once again short but meh.

As always: tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

[X] Talk with Mosuke

ICly speaking, it will be near zero chance it was the same samurai.

Let's get some description of the samurai first from Mosuke.

[X] Confirm the identity of the Samurai first

We only know of the one ghost who could be him, so why not check with said ghost instead of possibly getting Mosuke's hopes up? Not like it will be hard to find out who he is with the Reishi after all.

Are we even going to get Amidamaru as a guardian ghost? Because it seems unneeded since Yoh already has 3 powerful spirits with him.

The Samurai
You decided that before you say anything to Mosuke it would be best to confirm whether his friend was still here before getting his hopes up...besides worst comes to worst you can always have Anna summon Amidamaru's spirit.

Leaving the graveyard you immediately head to the Funbari Graveyard and sought the the samurai spirit.

When you reached the spot where the samurai sat and waited, your reishi told you he was waiting for his friend to arrive just like they promised.

Deciding that, what you just learned was enough evidence you decide to prove without a doubt your suspicions and asked the samurai, "Hey. Is you name Amidamaru?"

The samurai turned to looked at you and said, "Why do you wish to know?"

"My name is Yoh Asakura, current heir to the Asakura clan of Shamans. Before coming here tonight, I went to investigate a rumor about a crying sword. When I arrived I felt the presence of a ghost, it wasn't until night came and the spirit appeared crying over the sword." you reply which leads to the samurai raising an eyebrow as if asking you to get to the point so you continue, "Due to a unique ability I possess, I learned the reason why the ghost was haunting a heavily damaged sword and crying over it. The reason was because he was late to a meeting with his friend and thus could not deliver to him the sword he made for him. That friends' name was Amidamaru."

At this the samurai's eyes widen, your reishi telling you that he had a suspicion on who the ghost was, but did not wish to get his hopes up.

Grunting the samurai says, "Indeed my name is Amidamaru. I stay here waiting for my friend, Mosuke the Blacksmith, as we agreed to meet one more time. When you see him again please tell him I still wait, that is if the spirit that haunts the sword you spoke of is indeed my friend."

With that Amidamaru turned to look at the sky and continue his wait.

Smiling you head back to the museum, unfortunately as you walked the sun had begun to rise signalling that soon Mosuke's spirit will hide itself once more.

You now have a choice, do you give Mosuke a short message, or do you come back the following evening to tell him everything.

[ ] Give Mosuke a short message, no more than five words.
[ ] Head back the following evening so you can talk to Mosuke in depth.

Short again, but hopefully the fight proper will result in longer updates.

Also I've been thinking of taking Sunday's off of updating my quests for some short, fun writing projects, like replying to Corruption RPG.

Finally; tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

I've been lately imagining Yoh as a giant talking cheese puff for some weird reason.

That's because you're insane.
