That's good to hear. I was literally on alert all day long, cos you were always uploading a new chapter everyday, sometimes twice a day. Yo man, I'm a really big fan of your fic. I was wondering if you would ever come back to it some day to see it finished considering you left it on imperishable night, it's quite sad to see such an influential work end up abandoned, seeing how many more gamer fics spawned thanks to it and such. Would have been cool to see Arah lifting or breaking Akyuu's curse and end up marrying her in the end :V

Yeah, except the SI actually gives Makima the time of day unlike Pochita, and she'll have a functioning relationship with him as opposed to the one-sided parasocial relationship she had with Chainsaw Man. She will be getting character development in this fic, because the SI wouldn't let her live past Act 1 if she was incapable of change. Thankfully, Nayuta proves that the Control Devil is not some unfeeling monster.

Well yeah. Shipping aside, I plan for the SI and Makima to develop an actual friendship before we jump into romance or family stuff. Makima's deal is that she is lonely and craves companionship untainted by fear/power dynamics, and the SI is going to fulfill that by being vitrolic best buds with her, pushing her into becoming a better person as he isn't afraid to butt heads with her when she does something unsavory.
