    which I guess the closest that comes to the actual "meat" of this type of story would be the arthurian fanfiction known as the later added character "lancelot", which quiet fits the bill

    but that gets me thinking that there should be more like this in the west, but there really isn't, and for chinese audience, it seems like they can only use the MCU as replacement lol
