    But there's also prostitution, banditry, coercion... you don't get that shit in RWBY, the world feels real. It's not one of those shitty fanfics that just tell you "the strong eat the weak", it depicts such a world. I mean, it's still shitty writing, don't get me wrong, but it still does what it does.

    Danmachi power system has got to be one of the most worthless things ever. None of the numbers really matter and no one cares about them after each level, the big "level 1/2/3/whatever" only matter when the protagonist isn't there, the super special protagonist halo in the abilities is just a scaled down version of the OP JRPG cheat skills screen, and everyone's just arbitrary in power feats

    I've been discovering a music genre called breakcore recently and listened to so much of it that I've given myself an earworm.

    It's not even a specific song but my brain blending them all together and cause it remembers them incorrectly it constantly remixes them. It's actually kind of awesome.

    So the reason why Douluo Dalu is called the "sewer gutters of xianxia genre", one reason is because of the trashy (but still better than RWBY) writing, but the main reason is that the MC could kill the peak power level people with gadgets from a middle level wuxia world, as well as the cultivation methods from a second rate sect stolen by the MC in that world are OP and considered cheats in Douluo Dalu

    Like you know, "ANBU" is used more by the English audience used to the American three letter organizations, but in Japanese and Chinese they're always addressed as "the dark part", but it feels like English readers would get angry and would be hardheaded against that kind of title in a story

    部 on its own is really more appropriately translated as 'division' tbh, so even ignoring that it's shortened from 暗殺戦術特殊部隊 in which case 'unit' might be appropriate, 暗部 (ANBU) is still more literally 'shadow division' when translated in a vacuum.
