    I saw some of these Pokemon web novels talk about how in certain junior level tournaments, there's rules about how you can't use other people's pokemon and they have to be received within a year, but this is one of the problems the original series already solved. Like how Ash got disqualified because his charizard didn't listen to him in Electric Tail, right? Feels like some stories needlessly complicate things.
