A rectification of names

Light mode is the only thing my eyes can stand these days.

I freaked out a bit when it first changed and used stylebot to change it back, then realized it was just a forum style. Thanks for letting us opt out of the April Fools.
 
Man, this fire infrastructure is getting out of hand.

First we had the fire walls for 'cybersecurity' and they were 'perfectly safe.' Now look at the site.

Fire walls, fire ceiling, fire doors, fire roof, fire infrastructure.

Knew we shouldn't have trusted those software engineers, always up to something.

Now, I'm off to do more Cryptocurrency trading.
 
Is this style gonna stay as an option after April first? I really like it!

I really don't see how the new names are better than the old ones. Is there a poll or something about whether or not users like the change?

I could not read anything my eyes hurt to the point they were starting to water. Took me a bit to find the setting...
 
I was wondering if this was literally a dumpster fire (it's hard to tell behind all the posts). That's pretty good.

Honestly, it's pretty funny (I love the mocking names and it's ironically accurate), but this is also an accessibility nightmare for the next day at least. I can't read the tags and figuring out the sections is a bit tricky, at least for the more fun areas of the site. (I do visit the others too though, let me make that clear.)

If you do go with keeping the theme long-term, I suggest putting a bit of grey at 50-75% alpha over the background so it's a bit less bright.
 
I mean, April fools is nearly over here in Australia, so...
It's a neat April Fools thing that will still be here for part of April 2nd.
 
The funny thing is, flaming dumpster background aside, the Dumpster Fire doesn't look that bad. Replace the background with something normal, like a plain black or grey backing, and it would legitimately be one on the site. Similar to the Blackened we have now, just without the obnoxious black borders on the side of the screen. Considering that the presence of those black borders is the only reason why I don't use the Blackened style myself, I would strongly suggest something like this for when we move to XF2.

The Dumpster Fire style is a fairly small modification of the Dark Responsive styles, so if you like it those are the ones to look at.

Additionally, there is a "style chooser" menu available at the bottom left corner of every page, below the reply box, labelled in the name of your currently active theme. Should be a little gear symbol next to it. The default normally is Light Responsive.

Oh, trust me, I'm well aware. I already use Dark Responsive (Green) as it is. However at the same time, I also happen to really like the Orange-Text-On-Black-Background color combination, and unfortunately, none of the Dark Responsive styles currently have that, save for the Dumpster Fire one.

I'm just saying it would be nice to have a style that has that color combination, and also has the widescreen features of the Dark Responsive themes. It's not something that I'd expect to see done in the near future, but hey, if you guys need to remake all new themes for the move to XF2, well, that would be a nice option to have.
