Sacraments are more than JUST +1 lore level. We're not still fully clear on how good sacrament powers are, but we've seen how good lvl 3 Realization powers can be in the right circumstances, and Sacraments are FAR above those.

It really depends on how strong the "curse" is. Cursebreaking is unlikely to be common, and doing it without breaking the item will require rare skills... but then again, if pony magic made it, pony magic can probably unmake it. Or maybe it could be as simple as using a Jade action to develop a Forge ritual to uncurse it.We can discuss looking for a curse-breaker (could even be a servant action) come next turn.

Also we can always sell them for Bits to use on other actions (expeditions that give us even MORE loot, some Sacraments, buy books or more useful artifacts, medicine if we get injured, rituals...), or sacrifice them for ritual bonuses if truly important.
There might or might not be. From my above analysis of character creation, it WAS possible to create Shining-Tier fighters even without using Edge, so if the leader of this Proto-hive is a peak-tier changeling then it's possible.

This actually brings up a really interesting point, though maybe others mentioned it in earlier votes. I was modeling Celestia's voices as being due to some congenital stress-triggered schizophrenia in Alicorns, since canon MLP had Luna do the same before becoming Nightmare Moon (and so presumably that's what Celestia assumed happened to Luna in this continuity). But what if it's a Fascination? Does Selene need to get enough Moth levels to smother the light in Celestia's mind, in order to calm her down?
Considering we saw the start of Celestia's breakdown, and that she was very much acting like this pretty much immediately after that breaking point, I think it'd be a pretty big stretch to say that Daybreaker was spawned by Fascination rather than the millennium of stress all coming crashing down on her head (which is what we saw in Dies Iras). It was that emotional stability roll that resulted in us ending up with Daybreaker-in-chains, rather than Daybreaker unleashed, whatever the division would have resulted in, or Celestia in absentia.
Probably going all in on Lores is unwise but it's too much fun not to. I love how we agonize over suspicion in some circumstances and ignore it in others
