From a comedy angle, Spiderman getting harassed by an octo-loli sounds like it could be funny.

Peter doesn't seem like the type to punch adult women, he'd have no clue how to handle an aggressive loli.

However I'm absolutely certain the decision was not made for comedy, but rather for the porn (which is free advertising).

What's more fun is the split second bit of cognitive dissonance I got when I first actually read War of the Worlds and a background character was described as "emerging from his home ejaculating his confusion wildly". For just a moment there I forgot the other definition of the word and thought HG Wells was taking a BIG swerve in the book that the movie and radio play had skipped. :p
