well, guess I've still got the 20a of several different lines. Just keep using those.

It is a shame, 5th edition had some mechanics that worked pretty well, I think. The fluff was ... modernized and had it's flaws, but there was some nifty stuff in there too.

But this is some bullshit.

Mage has always been black and white. Sure, there's lipservice to some 'both sides'ing, but c'mon: smelly antivaxxers yelling at the sky and trying to kick the chair out from under reality itself, vs. the brave (& well groomed) heroes of the Union fighting to keep hot and cold running water and fresh out-of-season vegetables available for the masses. There's pretty clearly a correct choice.*

It'll be interesting to see what they do with M5/6, anyway. And if the totality isn't worth running, well, I can take what is and strap it to an older edition. We've got 30 years of good** content to work with. Paradox Dice, for example, seem like they'd be easy to do right, and add some fun tension beyond the wheel as it exists.

Paradox Dice are horrible idea and is just shit thing to do to Mage.

I like the Union, fuck I been called a Union Fan boy for years. But I do not want clean white and black, that ruins the point of Mage. But they also have to be honest with Mage's history and bloodshed and what shit the older trads and their previous forms allowed. Just as you have to be honest that Union wiped out supernatural species and nations.

Has anyone ever read The Book of Fire? AKA Lucifer's book of claiming he did nothing wrong ever.

It is bizarre. When I read Lucifer talking about tribes of The Book, Dream, Middle Kingdom, Wealthy Land, and Skulls my first thought would be that he is talking about different splats.

Not Lucifer using it to describe Continents.

Lucifer: I guess i should combine the americas together, China's name will get applied to all of asia, Australia is dreams, Africa gets Skulls. And I guess I will talk about Noah with The Book, Europe eeeh I can skip that one.

Me: Why is Africa the Children of Skulls? I can vaguely understand the rest but why?

Me: Why do you phrase this in this way? Ancient societies knew that boats existed. Why did you go with multiple survivor populations and put them in these locations. Your word choice makes it worse!

Also like, by Lucifer (and DTF) own account, mankind had multiple advanced kingdoms, split between Heaven and Fallen. With enough population to regularly get enslaved by Demons.
And only Fallen sided Human Kingdoms collapsed.

Either way his book comes of so biased that I honestly question the WoD loretubers who say to take that book at face value compared to The book of nod

White Wolf went incredibly hard saying that Caine's core sin is pride when he comes off as way less full of himself than any of the other ancient creatures around and comparatively owns up to shit he did and admits to outright defeats/not being the strongest

This is a bizarre universe where Caine comes off as the guile trickster and not Lucifer meanwhile Lucifer glazes the fuck out of Caine's magic while simultaneously saying it isn't as good as his or a Mage's.

Well that was an interesting and episode although I have questions:

1. According to that static screen...how on Earth does that Glass Walker does not have a kill count?

2. Why is there a wyrm like creature buried in the image of Jesus? Is that the result of the drug from Pentex they took before the hunt? If I recall correctly Jesus was wyrm repellent.

1. I am a bit sad the Leopoldites got wrecked so hard

2. I am curious if we'll get to see other Fera there was talk about Bastet's in the werewolf lore episode

3. It would be funny if a certain someone that died in the end came back as their obsession.

By not killing people.

Any Garou may be a walking murder machine and may have a terrible bloodthirsty Rage embedded into the depths of their psyche, but that doesn't mean they have to kill.

Jamble could be good at not putting himself in situations where the quickest way out is through some poor bastard or he could have absolutely ridiculous self control and restraint for a Garou. Or anything in between.

This is super metaphor laden and there's a lot of potential meanings.

To me, it represents the corruption of the Leopoldites. Both their moral corruption, self righteous zealots full of hatred and eager to cause pain to those they judge as unclean, and the spiritual corruption of their dalliances with the Wyrm through Pentex. They may try to keep a certain distance and unlike the rest of the Coalition, they don't tear up lopsided agreements in their favor when the Pentex representative says there's a change of plans and they're not helping anymore.

But they've been close allies with those of dark persuasion for decades* and that sort of thing leaves a mark.

The symbol of their Faith being so twisted(seriously, pause the video and just take in all of the details of what's wrong) is a sign of it all.

Jesus himself is Wyrm repellent, but the Wyrm loves perverting the symbolism of its own Triat and of course, the Trinity.

That's why its aspects are also called the Corrupted Triat or Trinity by those who know. That's why Pentex also has temple services dedicated to them.

If it was the Patriarch, there wouldn't be anyone left alive to tell the tale.
Plus even the Weaver spirits are vulnerable to the Wyrm corruption, no way in hell the Patriarch would allow the Wyrm to get a hold of itself that deeply. Nevermind the fact that the Weaver herself would be furious.

Honestly this also reminds me of the fact the Weaver is starting to adapt to Wyrm corruption and making proper/calling up proper combat Spiders which scary as fuck
