Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

Incorrect. I started in NSFW because there will be gore in the future, and because everyone posts in the NSFW thread regardless. However, in an authors note, I mentioned there would be no smut. A mod then moved it here because there will be no smut. I haven't bothered trying to correct them.
Mmm well they should not have moved it unless you requested it. as it is not required to have NSFW content to be posted in that section.

Want it moved back?

Rothana is not in the ass end of nowhere, it's in THE ass end of nowhere (by design since it was supposed to be a secret blacksite far from politics be they internal ot external), it's beyond the galactic disk and has a complicated security network (that the disney canon ignored completly in favour of making a silly short story about tarkin's personal corvette getting hijacked) i bet it would cost Kuat more to ship the resources there (while simultaenously compromising the integrity of it's defense meaning the only reason they bothered to maintain it is now gone) and whatever they might be capable of making from contracts would be insufficient to justify taking them, to Kuat it's a loss and since they have a massive ring around their planet dedicated to making ships (these fuckers managed to (almost) build the Eclipse 1 there, in SECRET, you know the 17,5km ship with a superlaser that only got discovered because Tyber-Gary Zann-Stuu needed it's navicomputer data, btw why the hell would the eclipse 1 have any of the data regarding palp's secret safehouses, that's the stuff you add after it's finished) the 20 berths described in the chapter are laughably inconsequential to them even if we assume they can build something bigger than an Acclamator and weren't left behind due to the cost of transporting them and adding them to the Kuat ring being far too big compared to whatever it was that the Kuati took from Rothana
As a side note most of Kuat and Corellia's support facilities are spread throughout their immediate galactic area near their named planets. It was stated that all the offsite locations of the two could nearly match the main systems. Which is impressive when you consider one system has several inhabited and heavily industrialized planets with enough shipyards that it is basically the space trucker's go to ships and the other has a mock up (poor man version) of the Mechanicum's Ring of Iron at Mars.

Maybe we can use the license for the Acclamators that Rothana Heavy Engineering have to trade with Kuat Drive Yards for the license for the Imperial Nebulon b.

The Imperial Nebulon b is not produced by Kuat Drive Yards, and we have use for a Patrol ship, and support ship for our larger ships.

Do you have any idea how many component parts are inside something the size of a star destroyer
I think its somewhere along the thousands of uniqe parts alone, which were then duplicated to make same things over and over again. And then again, its probably more, cause SOMEBODY (*cough*Trade Federation) probably patented "door entrance model 1" and other usual things we arent even think about.

That is a lot of liscenses you need to get access to.
That is, if the patent is still in power.
Otherwise, he can order his ppl to pull "free-use" one from other sources.
And IF he dont just decide to up-scale and upgrade produced in-house cargohaulers and arm them.

Won't it still take years for it to produce ships? Wait, how long does Kuat need to pump out Star Destroyers anyways?
It's a matter of parallel production. I want to say several years per ship, but given that the Clone Wars raged for all of three, you can probably crank out a capital ship in one year if you're playing with fully developed infrastructure and willing to pay premium for triple shifts and importing everything which can be outsourced.

But, forget ISDs. You don't need destroyers unless you're planning on fleet battles or Base Delta Zero's. For pirate hunting, convoy escort, and anti-rebel patrols? Corvettes and frigates are more than enough. Even cruisers are a bit overkill. Get local production of smaller warships, and watch your sphere of influence grow as your sector remains blissfully free of pirates and "pirates" - because you can bet more than a few Moffs are taking the obvious means of padding their own supplies with that of a rivalling neighbor...

Chapter 50
My thoughts on this chapter... exactly how fast can they get those shipyards to Minden when the mc only assigns someone to bring them to his system that is competent.
My guess, when he is not watching bulk movement records will happen.

Considering that its first owner is listed as "Wilhuff Tarkin", as in the same Wilhuff Tarkin who just died on the first Death Star in this story, I'd say yes.
Actually it should be sitting at that ship yard when mc subordinate travels to pick them up. They could probably pick it up before terex does.

Yes, for now, it will probably be smaller ships. Although I would love to see him build modern Harrowers and Terminus. (Who actually owns the licenses for those?)
Whoever can find an intact schematic for them obviously, pretty sure any records went kaput during the Light and Darkness War era of the New Sith Wars and effective technological collapse that came about due to the conflict.

I'm pretty sure the only major difference between the two ships was size, so you could really just scale the Gladiator up a bit. The hard part would be negotiating for the design of a whole new workable standard blueprint for the design with KDY.
