Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

What was different, and likely what caused the governor's strained look, was the passing of governance of the Edin system from the soon to be executed governor to Governor Mola. Vanko really wanted this all to end, and was essentially bribing the Governor with an entire system. His voice was strained because he was so happy!

Of course, it would take her years to realize that he was stuck with an absolute fear of the paperwork he was about to encounter.

God help him, because no one else will.
Our poor Governor is suffering from success.
May the Evil Paperwork show him mercy…(It won't 😉)

Or maybe the new system could make the droids he needs from medical to army like those droid last ships and droidicas just changed a bit so he doesn't get in shit. That or turn he laats into droid controlled APC.

Well, depending on the composition of the Edin system, he may very well have just doubled his resources, manpower, and armed forces.

Not to mention any infrastructure developments or immigration initiatives the Las could set up, alongside the Adventurers Guild work and the other Guilds.

This is how every HOI4 minor nation starts off. They start small and shitty and then through some clever initiatives and small conquering of weaker territories, it turns into a power house.

Sasuga Las-sama! Also my god that Admiral got completely wreck by the pirate Lucrehulk. Also the survivors are going to sympathize more with the clones now because the Imperial survivors had to deal with a pirate Lucrehulk but the clones had to deal with the combat ready Lucrehulk, the sheer devastation the clones had to deal with during the clone wars.

In fact I think quite a few tie figher pilots are going to ask clone pilot for mentoring/teaching.

I know we have a fleet list in the Extras, but would it be possible to get a list of utilities and resources that Minda has? Like, how much food or valuable metals it has, or how many factories, public works, or research facilities? Something like a civilization stat sheet, I suppose; that might help frame how exactly the Edin should develop.

The screams that echoed over the comms would leave the few survivors with night terrors for years to come.

As he watched his entire plan fall apart, the Admiral could barely think, barely fathom what was occurring. Only when the swarm turned to the Arrowhead did he move.

He slammed other officers out of the way as he steamed towards the escape pods. Jumping into the first available one, he started punching the buttons as quickly as possible.

A few others tried to enter with him. Some pulls of the trigger ensured they would not. He refused to share any of the meager emergency supplies in the pod.

With a whoosh the pod was ejected from the side of the bridge, moving a solid hundred meters before the swarm impacted the Arrowhead.
So how long until this admiral dies for incompetence and cowardice? Because there are survivors of this incident... This type of shit results in court martials and firings in PEACETIME. I don't actually think the Imperial Navy is that incompetent to not send people to ask WTF happened.

For reference, an Italian cruise ship captain (of the ship Costa Concordia) was jailed for abandoning ship after crashing into a rock, then if I'm remembering properly pushed passengers out of the way to get on a lifeboat. He was jailed 16 years for the deaths in this incident. That was a civilian vessel, not a military one too.

It wasn't a large force, but the Myto Sector Group was already half the size of a regular Sector Group, coming in at 12,000 ships, and 12 Star Destroyers.
12,000 ships sounds impressive. However keep in mind the sheer mind boggling amount of space a Sector can cover. Even if that 12,000 number does not include the TIEs, that is still potentially having to cover over a hundred inhabited systems and however many uninhabited ones.
The fire between the opposing forces is so much, it seems to saturate the space between them. In the chaos, two of the Arquitens and a half-dozen Gozanti's were turned to slag by the sheer wave of fire.
Wasti watched in horror as the metal wave smashed into one of the Victory-I's, ripping it to shreds in suicide attack that tore the bridge to shreds. The attack didn't end there, as the swarm split, ramming into every ship in range.
With a whoosh the pod was ejected from the side of the bridge, moving a solid hundred meters before the swarm impacted the Arrowhead.

And impact it did. The remaining droids slammed into the bridge like a hammer to a skull, tearing it to shreds, leaving nought but the beheaded corpse of his flagship.
Those fleet losses mean that Minda's new TIE variants are about to become very high in demand. Those aging republic vessels might have been obsolete compared to a Star Destroyer, but I imagine they did a lot of patrolling for the Sector.

Now with the ships gone and the Pirate Couple no longer guiding the Sector's pirates, a new wave of random and opportunistic pirate attacks are going to descend on the sector. Governors are going to be scrambling to find whatever patrol craft they can in order to secure their borders.
With the large amount of evidence available, like the various calls for reinforcement that were brushed off, or the many recorded interrogations of pirates, alongside records of the Moffs general, someone had made an actually smart decision and contacted the Office of Grand Moff Vanko. If the rumors about Vanko were true, then he preferred to sweep things under the rug when possible, and this was exactly that. The Myto sector Moff and Admiral were being replaced, likely with Vankos own cronies.
I wonder which crony got the short end of the stick to get sent to this backwater? Hopefully Vanko included instructions to actually do a passable job and work with the local governors. Then again what happened to his predecessor may be motivation enough.

Now those Hyperdrive equipped TIEs can't come soon enough. Being able to jump between the two systems would be very helpful. Las has to guard more than one system. Now they're are two of them!

Turn the Lucrehulk into a manufacturing powerhouse by craming if with as much Tie production as possible and have it just pump out fighters, bombers and transport ships maybe even corvette's as well.
Just convert it into station and cram better living quarters in freed space where were engines.

Las is going to get more than a few extra ships after he sends teams to salvage the battlefield and has them fixed back up to working order.

Maybe try to salvage the Victory I / II star destroyers? Unless those were completely destroyed, they might be salvageable and potentially repairable. At the very least, those might provide spare parts / materials after being stripped. The Victory I's would also provide capital grade concussion / proton torpedo launchers and whatever undamaged missiles/torpedoes from their armaments, along with whatever undamaged/not destroyed capital grade turbolasers. The Victory II's should have more ion cannons / turbolasers in exchange for the launchers.

Useful if salvaged / repaired. Still useful if just broken down for parts.

TftC!

If Las can he should look into putting in multi torpedo racks on one of the I's and turn it into a ion torpedo heavy missile ship to act as a shield breaker for larger ships if you could also turn the torpedo into spreed missiles like in Armoured Core they could be used for a anti-fighter/bomber role.

At that point, with a Grand Moff personally assigning him a second system to look over, isn't he well and truly out of his mothers reach? Like, sure, the Grand Moff won't stand up to Tarkin, but one of Tarkin's subordinates actually truly has to step carefully now if they wanted to try and have him shipped off.

I really hope he can start moving past his fear of her. At this rate he'll probably be a Moff and still think she somehow has power over him.

That seems like it would be a gross overreach for an Imperial Governor, especially if the new Moff or Admiral doesn't sign off on it first.

On another note, I think it would be good to add variants of modern Earth tanks to his ground forces. Something I've noticed a lack of in Star wars Armies is a lack of turrets with a 360 degree radius. That and the ground equipment not being super maneuverable, which screws the Empire over at Endor.

So, there he drifted, amongst the graveyard of his failures. Watching as the Lucrehulk powered its hyperdrive and shot off into space, the remaining droids deactivated without the center brain there to keep them alive.

All the while cursing the universe.

I hope slavers pick your ass up jackass, or you starve alone in that pod.

You obvious aren't Asian, I'm full grown and only see my mom every few months, still scared of her.

I also think the Lurcehulk would make a great series of assembly Lines. With raw materials going in one end, processed to the half way point and assembled things coming out the other end

I'm also all for that cowardly admiral starving in that pod since no true leader would so quickly abandon his people like that. Gotta love that Imperial nepotism bullshit, ugh. That aside, it's good to see our boy Las up on his feet again, even if he's having to play catch up after his unexpected two week stint in the infirmary and all. It's also pretty pleasing to see the pirate threat taken care of finally, those fuckers needed to die a long time ago, but at least they're gone now. :D
