Issei doesn't know that there are opponents here, just that he has a bad feeling about the place and Asia has no idea that she might be walking into danger. Leaving her alone would be OOC in this instance, so I'm voting for Issei being wary of his surroundings and preparing for some unspecified trouble.Malcolmo said:Why are you guys trying to get into a fight when we don't know exactly how many opponents there are or how strong they may be?
Dawns are Bronze Tigers, Zeniths are Golden Bulls, Nights are Iron Wolves, Eclipses are Quicksilver Falcons.nightblade said:I got a question. Twilights are know as copper spiders. Do the other solar exalts have names like that?

Seeing as there are other options I'd assume that they're in fact IC and not OOC. Ignoring that, if you have a bad feeling about this place you want to gather more info not blindly follow Asia and Mittelt.Smuthunter said:Issei doesn't know that there are opponents here, just that he has a bad feeling about the place and Asia has no idea that she might be walking into danger. Let me see:Smuthunter said:For that matter... Alex, is it possible to combo DxD spells together with charms? Holy Fireballs would be an excellent thing to have.
This pretty much seals the deal to me. You can have your Holy Fireballs >Enemy-Castigating Solar Judgment
Cost: 2m
Mins: Presence 1, Essence 3
Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, Holy, Obvious, Social
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Any Presence Excellency
The Solar ignites her spirit with the Essence of the Unconquered Sun. This Charm can enhance a physical attack. This Charm makes the attack Holy and causes the attack to inflict aggravated damage against creatures of darkness. This Charm can also enhance social attacks that create guilt, shame or fear, or where the Exalt uses a stunt to draw on these emotions. It makes the attack Holy. This Charm makes creatures of darkness treat the social attack as unnatural mental influence that costs one Willpower to resist. This Charm also halves the creature's base MDVs against the attack. This Charm is specifically permitted to enhance rolls based on other Abilities.
We are seeking more information.Malcolmo said:Seeing as there are other options I'd assume that they're in fact IC and not OOC. Ignoring that, if you have a bad feeling about this place you want to gather more info not blindly follow Asia and Mittelt.
Well, that would have been nice to know when we were fighting the dapper gentleman from before. (okay so I can't spell his name, sue me)Alexander said:This pretty much seals the deal to me. You can have your Holy Fireballs >
We'll only detect anything we happen to pass by though, if we dedicate this time to intelligence gathering we can gather much more information. Also the occult clubhouse didn't have that much hidden in it whereas this place does and has it hidden much better.Smuthunter said:We are seeking more information.
Keep in mind what we're capable of -- we have no dots in Investigation and so are not likely to be able to gain any significant information that way. On the other hand, turning on our anima power gives us a bonus to (Awareness + Perception) rolls equal to our essence -- we have three dots in Awareness and two in Perception, plus three more for the anima bonus. Further, the last time we used our anima power at the Occult Clubhouse we saw everything that there was to see instantly without needing to take time to notice it. This way allows us to immediately know if there are any dangerous enchantments or magical effects without allowing ourselves to be distracted from guarding Asia.
An awareness check is only good for a quick look around anyways. An in-depth investigation needs an Investigation roll, which we suck at.Malcolmo said:We'll only detect anything we happen to pass by though, if we dedicate this time to intelligence gathering we can gather much more information. True, but a quick look around is better then just leaving. IIRC they actually had the entrance to the hidden basement right here so we'd have a better chance of finding that if we stayed for a quick while and looked around.Smuthunter said:An awareness check is only good for a quick look around anyways. It'd be a safer though I worry about us running out of boost time before anything actually happens.[X] Activate your anima power with personal essence and look for enchantments or magical effects. If you detect anything magical whatsoever, quietly bring out Boosted Gear and start clocking up boosts with the BOOSTO turned off like we did against Dohnaseek.
-[X] Don't let Asia out of your sight. Follow Asia and Mittelt.

The Boost timer only kicks in when we convert motes into physical enhancements, once that happens we have three turns before the fatigue penalty sets in. If we just call the gear out and let our motes build it won't reset when we top off the overdrive pool. This way if something happens are we wind up being out of our depth we'll have plenty of motes to spend on something like, say, blowing out a wall with Dragon Shot to make a quick escape. If the fight spills out into the street we can call Rias and friends as backup, but with liberal use of social charms it probably won't reach that point in the first place.Malcolmo said:It'd be a safer though I worry about us running out of boost time before anything actually happens.
Fair enough I suppose. I'd still rather we didn't do this but it's not as horrible an idea as I though it'd be.iamnuff said:and how long would it take of Asia to get one of the fallen back into a state where they can fight us? or get herself into trouble?
info gathering has it's place, but time is off the essence.
pulling out boosted gear is going to be a super blatant way of gearing up for a fight, granted. we are probably going to need to fight regardless, so...
Considering how Azazel claimed that most fallen angels wound up falling because of sex a fallen angel being prepared to seduce anyone who catches her interest doesn't really surprise me.on a less serious note, why the fuck did Mittelt have a slip of paper with her three sizes on it preprepared?
It does depend on Mittelt noticing us pulling it out though, and if we follow them at a slight distance she probably won't be paying any attention to us.iamnuff said:pulling out boosted gear is going to be a super blatant way of gearing up for a fight, granted. we are probably going to need to fight regardless, so...
