Those things went down to normal bullets from bucky.

A few M240's with firing positions with overlapping fields of fire could have turned the tide of that battle with those Drones they had in the first movie being used to provide heavy fire and crowd control up until the rolling machines came in.

They also could have turned the shield back on as soon as the rolling machines started showing, deal with the forces inside quickly, and then prepare for the next wave.

So is there an explanation for how the Skrulls have the Tesseract in 1995 despite Howard Stark recovering it from the ocean floor back after WW2 that I just straight up missed, or did they just toss aside the continuity that is one of the selling points of the MCU, in a film that seems to rely much more heavily on that interconnected nature than most others save the Avengers team ups.

Howard Stark Recovers the Tesseract -> SHEILD puts it away for safe keeping -> Mar-Vell hauls it out for experimentation -> Stores it aboard her cloaked cruiser for safe keeping -> SHEILD gets it back via kitty vomit express.

The Tesseract gets around. Alot.
 
We have official conformation that James Gunn has been rehired to do Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Suicide Squad 2 is taking precedence, he is finishing working on that first, but once he is done, he is going to go straight back to Marvel.
 
I was sad that Tony didn't rail Nebula's space alien cyborg ass to town. Ehh. Would be out of character, but it'd be hot af.

No one knows you cheated when it's in random planet #423 in the middle of Milky Way, right?

Going to see it in a few hours but looking at the trailers I'm kinda not a big fan of the white and black matching uniforms. I love it from a practical perspective but from a visual design thing I am worried.

Gonna be interesting! I hear ant-man doesn't defeat Thanos via entering the Thanus and becoming Giantman/Goliath, instagibbing the Titan, so that's a shame,

Well both are technically cyborgs, well Tony at least used to be one depending on your definition of cyborg.

Aside from that Nebula has massive daddy issues, as does Tony though he is in the state where he likes and wants to be a dad.

I saw their scenes as being like a guy dealing with a sad and abused puppy, or defusing the mass of social problems.

Well Bucky went to war, resisted brainwashing, died, and then came back to life for it.

Also Falcon did a lot for it.

Unfortunately Peggy Carter to grope it during slow dances for several decades.

So I saw the movie yesterday, liked a lot, thought it was pretty cool...

That said, I am kinda sad that the Hulk is basically dead now. He was fun as a contrast to Banner, now we just get smarty-pants dude with the super fists and no Hulk Smash anymore...

Don't worry, its just a gray hulk, those never last.
 
So the producers did an interview explaining a few things.

*Alternate timelines are in full effect. All time periods visited by the team became their own thing now. Which is why Cap went back, so that the other timelines would not get screwed over (although he's also dooming them to go through their own versions of Infinite war whe the Thanos'es of the other timelines come knocking).

*Cap did not come back the ''hard way'', that kind of time travel is not a thing in the movie verse. He appeared on that bench for drama. What happened is that after he was done putting everything back, he hooked up with a alternate version of his bae and came back when she passed away.

*Thanos shrank his ship after learning how to make Pym particles from the samples Nebula had. He is that smart, and so is Ebony Maw.
