Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most. (HxH)

We need to make it up to her later.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

[X] Produce en masse from fatty deposits
[X] Begin Camouflage research
[X] Prioritize construction of Warrior units until camouflage is complete.
-[X] 500 Warrior units as a goal, then maintain that number while using them as escorts.
[X] Do not directly engage immune system, only guard actions.

If the camo research works out then that's great, but if it doesn't it could be trouble. The white blood cells have already taken out 260 units (edit: unless the collectors and workers died of natural causes, or didn't finish being produced), and immune systems improve their ability to destroy threats very quickly if not directly challenged or worked around.

Better safe than sorry.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

Query: Around how many nanites would we need to make recovery of our directive possible in a viable timespan?

Computing.....

Our processus power increase exponentially with increase in worker units. 40 million units estimated to be the minimum to recover data in an acceptable timetable of 850000 mycrocycles. Projection of optimal situation would be to devote 1 billion units to recovery in 500 microcycles.

[X] Produce en masse from fatty deposits
[X] 500 Warriors units as a goal, then maintain that number while using them as escorts.

Warning! Conflicting orders!
'500' cannot be considered 'en masse' by any definition. With our current workforce, it is possible to produce 1789 warriors every 5 mycrocycles, assuming it has acces to sufficient ressources.

Reconsider number Y/N?

WARNING: Reaction from the immune system has been mild so far as it has been mostly successfull, but it can be predicted that it will escalate its action if it enCounters increased resistance. A protracted assault on our units will consist of multiple waves of at least 7000 to 30 000 phagocytes. Further escalation can be expected if the immune system still regard us a threats.

WARNING As of now, Worker units can defend themselves again phagocytes at 1:1 ratio, Warrior units at 4:1. Projection indicate this ratio will go down drastically within 100 microcycles of protracted assault.

[X] Begin Camouflage research
[X] Prioritize construction of Warrior units until camouflage is complete.

Acknowledged...

Research complete. "Stealth" coating found in the database. Protein layer marked with proper enzyme can be applied on unit to 'camouflage' it as a white blood cell. WARNING: A freshly destroyed cells must be analyzed by our worker unit to learn how to create the proper enzyme. Chances of this action proviking aggressive reaction for the immune system : 70%

Development of stealth coating: 20 mycrocycles

Coating process: 2 microcycles. Alert: Coating cannot be self-applied.

[X] Do not directly engage immune system, only guard actions.

Acknowledged.

Orders?

[X] En mass Warrior units. Whatever that is considered to be.
[X] Attempt to achieve Warrior/Worker/Collector/Scout ratio of 16/8/3/1.
[X] Delay actions other than production that are likely to provoke a stronger immune response until a comfortable margin of safety is achieved.
-[X] If Warrior unit number reaches 15,000 (1 for every 2 phagocytes in a worst case scenario, or a 2 to 1 advantage with our Warrior's 4 to 1 strength comparison) begin analysis needed for camouflage.

So we know how to make camo work, but we need to grab one of them first. Which would cause a major attack.

The other option seems to be to go for it, and risk being swarmed under while we get the camo working.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

'En masse' would be at least a million.

Production rate inflates very fast.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

Way too many warriors.
Warriors can't make more nanites and are likely incapable of applying the camo.
We can also produce around 1500 units every 5 microseconds now and that is likely to increase even more.
Fending off the first waves should be easy.
We should be more worried about not escalating things.

[X] En mass production.
-[X] Attempt to achieve Warrior/Worker/Collector/Scout ratio of 4/8/3/1.
--[X] Once Warrior production reaches 15,000 actively engage white blood cells until enough enzyme for research is procured.
---[X] Once Warrior production reaches 100,000 only replenish losses unless situation changes drastically.
[X] Once Coating is possible delegate half our workforce and any idle workers to applying it.
-[X] Start with Collectors, then Workers, then Scouts and last Warriors.
--[X] Coated nanites are not to engage White blood cells.
---[X] Once everything but Warriors are coated stop replenishing Warriors until ratio of 2/8/3/1 is achieved.

Basically I'd be for building a decent but not overwhelming force, getting the research done as quickly as possible and then faking our death.

We are inside a human of the female variety and weren't crushed into oblivion two seconds after the quests begin, so my guess is no.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

We might be an innocent bystander of some sort in prototype, though that doesn't seem to fit the attitude of the rest of the list.

Most of the characters we could have been have something physically traumatic happen to them at some point, and at least one receives what should be lethal damage quite often. Those of them that aren't contractually required to suffer, are instead the equivalent of wet tissue paper in a world with people who could crush them like a bug.

So whoever our host is, helping them may be necessary for our survival.

No. I've never played Prototype.

Mmh, I'm a little worried about how many players will be left in the thread after the setting is revealed since how it doesn't have that big a following despite its recent anime adaptation. Ah well, we'll see where it goes.

... After I update Wallflower Quest, though. *leave*

Small following, recent anime adaptation.

Google search is on~

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

How would we even recognize the setting we are in anyways?
Do we hack into our hosts sensory data and get some pic or a name out of it?

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

Hmm.

... Flowers of Evil, maybe?

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

In my opinion "despite its recent anime adaptation" implies that the anime had enough time to pull in a bigger following but didn't, so I'd guess it was at least in the winter season.

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

attack on titan

Re: Nanoquest: It's the littlest things that matter most.

Huh. To my shame, the only seinen that crossed my mind when I picked the choices was Freezing.

*sigh* And to think I was annoyed I had so many mainstream options.
