Jaune and company arrive in Mistral after the fall of Vale, and find not just trouble at Haven, but with the Table Breaker church as well. Leonardo's brother is the spitting image of the ugly bastard stereotype, and a priest of the Table Breaker church to boot. He has an obsession with making Arslan his, and has manipulated his way into forcing Arslan into an arranged marriage with him, by threatening her parents.

How does Jaune save the day?

Incidentally, a good means of generating stories and producing some plot hooks would have been Team RNJR(Y) going around and meeting up with various side characters who had survived Vytal. Catch up with them, find out things, and do some sidequests.

Thinking about it a bit, the Brothers gods have never really learned anything in their entire existance have they?

Originally they were just simple Afterans who used to simply maintain the Ever After and nothing more, but became stronger and increasingly confrontational with each other's acts of creation and destruction, causing imbalance, which they continually tried to forcefully correct, causing even more damage in the process.
After causing way too much damage, the Tree "gave" them the ability to leave the Ever After and explore their abilities without doing further harm (aka, the Tree put them in time-out until they could do the job they were created for).
They left, but never fixed anything about the flaws in their creations, which would become increasingly problematic for everyone in Ever After, and they abandoning them forever (even after they left Remnant and could have just returned).
Learning nothing from their past mistakes, the Brothers would repeat these errors by giving only two extreme options (when other options would have been possible) onto a grieving Salem and an unwitting Ozma, leading to their conflict lasting to the present day in a battle that is threatening all of Remnant's denizens long after the Gods abandoned their creations once again.

Their constant squabeling have caused nothing but problems and pain for everyone involved, including their own creations who had no choice in the matter how they got created, and instead of learning and growing, they have become increasingly shittier over time, becoming gigantic hypocrites and assholes (with Light ironically being worse than Dark).

Yang: "Ummm... Just so you know, I'm totally his girlfriend and fiance!"

Blake: "And so am I!"

Pyrrha: "NO! I AM!"

Ruby: "Arturia likes me-!"

Nero: "I don't care! Save that my nephew is finally getting over that prudishness Izzy tried to instill in him!"

Jaune: "First, you're like my... Second cousin? And second, you do not want to know what she's into."

Nero: "ANYWAY! Enough of your blather! I didn't want to be a Huntress, you know! That was just to give me enough capital for my true passion: ART! BEHOLD MY LATEST MASTERPIECE!"

Nero: "YES! NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY! OF MYSELF! NAKED! It's BRILLIANT!"

Jaune: "Oh Breaker no..."

Nero: "Hey! Your prudish mother can't tell me how to live my life! Art is about pushing boundaries! And am I not beautiful?! Who wouldn't want to see me nude?!"

Jaune: "I wouldn't!"

Nero: "Well! Everyone else disagrees and they're gonna look at my brilliant photography exhibit! It's because I'm such an artistic genius!"

Jaune: "It's because you're a hot naked blonde!"

Nero: "So you were looking!"

Jaune: "THAT'S WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY FROM THIS?!"

Nora: "YAY! Teach me to be an amazing artist too, Jaune's Auntie!"

She's a cousin of Jaune's thanks to some Arcs who intermarried with the nobles of Vitalia (which is sort of like Italy in Remnant) long ago. She dresses like Arturia did in her prime to honor her, and Arturia is fond of her.

Isabel is often exasperated with her actions, along with the rest of the family. But she is a lot of fun.

Amusingly enough, Carnival Phantasm FGO edition has Arturia and Nero interacting, and by 'interacting' I mean Arty reminds Nero who the face of the Type-MOON franchise is and calls her a 'franchisee' while they're trying to knock each other's blocks off.

Everyone looking at John Lionheart thinking he's the evil brother for being ugly and pocketing money, while having an interest in Arslan only for making money from sponsorships would be the Ultimate false flag to distract people from Leo getting Oz inner circle in Mistral killed by Hazel and Tyrian

For Hazel Since Jaune is a trained Medic/the team's doctor, tells it that the fact that he can't feel pain is his greatest weakness, as he has no way of knowing how much damage his body parts are accumulating until they're so injured that they simply stop responding altogether. Hazel can eventually beaten by first crippling his arms or legs and then shattering his spine, leaving the hypocrite laying on the ground wondering why he can't move. [Stolen from One Piece]

With Doctor Knowall he can go full Batman vs the Mutant or Kenshiro and even say (お前はもう死んでいる "Omae wa mou shindeiru") since he's got Fujin heritage

The Irony of Jaune Semblance being the Perfect Counter to Tyrain and Gillian is hilarious... CRWBY really made our guy the main character huh?

Spoiler: God of Darkness on Salem, Ozma and his Brother

Salem, the woman that offered herself as his first worshiper all but ruled the world's future in shadow. The downfall of man was inevitable. Even guaranteed, despite his brother cheating him again.

Fury filled the God of Darkness, the pool beneath him rippling malevolently filled with the Umbral energy of primordial chaos.

He regretted the childish feeling of betrayal he felt when his brother had informed him that Salem had approached the God of Light before him for the resurrection of her lover. In hindsight, of course she'd have approached his brother first. That was simply how it went. Why had he been so short sighted to agree to curse his only potential subject?

His brother's damned manipulations had only worked because he loved and trusted his Brother.

It was natural. That's how it should have been, but it was clear now his Brother loved the humans' worship more than he loved his fellow God.

Salem had been cursed with eternal life only so that she'd see the folly of usurping the natural order. Once she'd understood the weight of her mistake a century or two later, should she have come to apologize she'd have been allowed to pass and join her beloved in the afterlife.

It was never meant to end the way it did.

But even thinking back on those series of events filled his dark heart with fury.

How dare his brother remind and chide him of the sanctity of the order of life and death and then send the Hero Ozma back into the land of the living again and again?! The barest of loopholes, that he wasn't given his own living form was the one reason that the God of Darkness could not personally step in and intervene at this point.

The whole series of events left the God of Darkness with deepest regret.

Gods too were not perfect. He and his brother were younger then, and he now had more time to reflect without childish anger. But even now his brother's heart, so filled with Light was so rooted in his own sense of justice that he blinded himself to the truth.

Ha. How so like Light.

However a God could not take back their words.

But his brother, the God of Light, made one mistake.

He gave Ozma four Relics. Objects filled with the God of Light's Divinity. Even created a line of Silver Eyed Warriors to weigh the scales in his favor for his believed eventual return to Remnant.

His brother broke the rules first. It was only fair then, that HE played his own tricks.

He could not take Ruby Rose, as she already carried his Brother's lineage.

Yang Xiao-Long, Blake Belladonna, and Weiss Schnee were too close to Ruby for anything else.

His only choice was Jaune Arc.

The Brother of Darkness grinned.

A boy that once dreamt to be a hero beyond any reasonable logic. Who broke the rules and snuck his way into Beacon, cheating and lying. A being descended of heroes, but steeped in dark potential.

Despite his kind soul, he was one steeped in regret and filled with dark self-loathing. And yet sought further purpose than his peers. He was capable of humility. Learning from his mistakes, even if he was… bland.

Better than the alternatives.

A young heroine tainted by the Light. A wing clipped dragon that lost her spark of passion for the vices of life and in her jadedness tempered herself so far that it muted her personality and passion down to dull embers. A cat that did nothing but run and was rewarded for running at almost every turn while she lashed out to those that would help her. A beauty in white that lived a life of abuse by a male authority, but then when complaining to the male authorities at the school where she had run away to, simply obeyed without question, making her own rebellion ultimately pointless.

Fah.

Jaune Arc was no gem, but he was malleable. He lacked drive and passion in his teenage years, but as a child… now that was a boy that was only filled with dreams and bursting with passion.. but those dark, jealous, YEARNING embers were smothered by his own parentage.

The Brother Grimm laughed.

Had a fun idea of Nora accidentally becoming richer than Weiss by fucking with her.

I'm imagining her holding a dust crystal and putting her aura in and out of it. Pretending like she's gonna set off a explosion.

Push the aura in, suck it out, over and over.

Until she sucks a bit too much and the dust crystal starts shaking.

Thinking that maybe she was actually about to set off a explosion Nora Yeets the crystal at a Grimm.

Where the now magicless crystal that was about to start sucking from the atmosphere instead sucks up the Grimm and makes a new dust type.

Suddenly Nora is considered a fucking genius and a revolutionary. Finally all those used up useless dust crystals have a use!

Eat shit Jacques you're gonna make a whole lot less money when everyone is getting extra uses out of the crystals.

And who knows what you can do with Grimm dust?
