[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

It would have to be self-loading, Jaune's running sword in one hand, and board in the other, there's already enough going on during combat.

"How hard could it be?" - Jeremy Clarkson

would a semi auto shotgun with shell or mag loading work? what about a lever action? maybe both like a proactical version of the TF2 scattergun?

Lever action shotguns were quickly superseded by pump action, and self loading designs. InRangeTV on YouTube has a good video on the Winchester 1887 lever shotgun, its basically a Rube Goldberg device, and not a system you'd want to trust your life to as a Huntsmen.

Magazines would let a Huntsmen reload faster, but if they get damaged or lost, they would be in trouble. It might be harder to design a mechashift shield around a tube-fed shotgun though.

I'm starting to understand why Professor Port rocks that blunderbuss......

what about a Normal tech Shotgun with both tube an Mag loading, plus able to be braced against Jaune's Shield? I thing there might be a more practical lever action with a loading port that can work for Jaune, a double barrel with a two shot mode that allows for knockback dodging and knockback blasting? yes please.

The only way for Jaune to semi plausibly include a weapon, in this case a modern self-loading shotgun, into his fighting style is a mechashift weapon integrated into either the sword, or shield, like Pyrrha for reasons of practicality & reliability. Mechashift is already BS, but it doesn't quite break suspension of disbelief. *looks at Coco's weapon*

Most of the time, at least.

I'll end that there before it becomes a derail, now back to normal programming.......

Whatever you're thinking happened? It was ten times worse and more incomprehensible.

Worse than what Ruby did to Zippy, the Xiao Long family car?

Well he could always get a sawn off shotgun.

Sooo much worse.

Sooo much worse.

Except for the fact that Jaune would essentially have to discard his sword & shield during a fight to utilize it. If Yang could fit her mechashift weapons into those gauntlets, Ruby could surely bend her skills into installing something truly nasty in Jaune's shield, which would compliment his fighting style the most. He has catching up to do, and putting a bigger, meaner version of Yang's weapons into his shield lets him learn to fight with both at once.

Is Jaune's father allowed to operate any form of motorized vehicle around Radian, or are there laws (plural) against it?

Honestly, I think some kind of Dust projector weapon in his Shield would work best. Let him pour his massive Aura into Dust cartridges in his shield he can rotate, and now he's a short range Casting Knight or Magical Paladin!

And no, Nick Arc is not allowed to drive any vehicle within Radian's city limits. He can use horses but that's it.

And even then the horses have to be swapped out regularly to get therapy.

Jaune - "This electro shield you made for me is really something else, Ruby!

Ruby - " I'm glad you like it, Jaune, but did you really have to zap Weiss during your first match using it?

Yang - "C'mon guys, Weiss knowingly took her chances getting in the range of its..... Arc!"

And no, Nick Arc is not allowed to drive any vehicle within Radian's city limits. He can use horses but that's it.

Nick - "Look, Look! Atlas invented a robotic Huntsmen assistance horse, can we get one Izzy?"

Isabella - "The Radian council already banned you from having one, so no."

Nick - "It was just announced by Geppetto Industries less than two hours ago, how......"

Isabella - "The council hired someone to scour the dustnet as a full time job for potential loopholes in the Arc laws after the combine incident."

Ruby: groan "Yannng...!"

Jaune: laughs "Heh! I guess so, Yang!"

Yang: "Wha... You're laughing? Genuinely?"

Jaune: "Why shouldn't I? I always love your jokes. They're so terrible they always go right back to amazing!"

Yang: blush

That said, Isabel has her own foibles.

Isabel: "What do you mean I'm not allowed to ride a bus?!"

Radian Council: "You keep throwing them."

Isabel: "Only when I'm drunk!"

Radian Council: "You weren't drunk the last time."

Isabel: "I needed to throw it at that Ursa Major!"

Radian Council: "Too bad, no more bus for you."

Isabel: "UGH!"

Its now canon that every Arc family member has a mode of transportation they are not allowed on.

Tangy/Tanya is no longer allowed near tanks. She tends to go a bit overboard when she's behind the wheel.

Though sometimes that's necessary for a business transaction to go down smoothly.

Jaune and Pyrrha are paired with Yang and Blake instead of Ren/Nora. How does this affect anything? Will Yang make a move when she learns how well Jaune can dance?

When Blake (along with the rest of RWY) inform JNPR that she is going to admit something, Jaune (who knows who Blake is because either he knows faunus or he was taught by Great Grandma Arturia to learn about other Prince and Princess) thanks the Princess for trusting everyone with all that, much to RWY's and NPR's shock about having an actual Princess in their midst

When Pyrrha confronts Cinder, Cinder is more violent than in Canon. Reason? Pyrrha has been keeping ever other woman from making a go at Jaune and Cinder is tired of being clam-jammed

Jaune's sister is the writer for Ninja in Love and he is the tired editor. When he hears about the destruction visited upon Blake's collection he feels sorry for her and asks his sister to sign a copy for Blake that he then gives to her. How does everyone react to JAune giving Blake smut. What is their further reactaion when they learn he is the editor?

Yang, frustrated at everything going on (Blake and White Fang, grades, etc) hears Jaune tell Pyrrha something WRONG and snaps. No, Ruins on Remnant 3.5 is not the greatest edition its Advanced Ruins on Remnant. Yang's sordid past as a TTRPG nerd is exposed for all and sundry.

Roman Torchwick is known to the Arc Conglomerate as 'Uncle Alex,' something he is sad to have a deception since he can relax at the family get togethers (despote Isabel glaring at him. Is it his fault he gave Saphron some better advice then "Be Confident" when she told him about asking Terra out for a date?) So imagine his surprise when one evening he gets a call from Jaune asking what to do about his partner. He (Jaune) thinks she has a crush on him but from what he can tell she has never had a friend ever so he wants to be that and not take advantage of her. After some actually good advice, half an hour later his actual niece calls, who is none other than Pyrrha! She then gives him TMI about her partner and Leader and asks how to get it through his head she is interested. What does Roman do? Ignore Neo and her gag business cards reading Roman Torchwick; Gentleman Thief and Love Doctor

Similar to above, but Jaune recognizes 'Cousin Mint' when JNPR and CInder's team meets

Same background, but the Arcs know who Uncle Alex is (One doesn't have as long a family line as the Arcs without Blackguards in there) they just don't care

An Arc keeps their word, but nothing is ever said regarding fraud, lying, and murder sorry, 'self defense'

NPR and RWBY have each individually done a very stupid thing and now Peggy Sue back through time. This is the first time they have all returned to this timeline. (How do they interact with each other? Did anyone one of them start dehumanizing people after all the death and repeats?) However, Jaune has been doing this far longer and is either burnt out completely on life or taking what vacation he can in his personal hell. What does NPR and RWBY do when they realize Jaune isn't at Beacon on the first night sleep over?

Ruby was able to get to Pyrrha and Cinder earlier so Pyrrha is only in a coma for a few years (until canon timeline got to Atlas) how does she react to a world moved on? How does RWBY and JNR deal with her Coma and Waking?

We all know about Jaune and the Thirsty Mothers Brigade, but how does Jaune's significant (any member of RWBY or NPR) react to constant pushiness? It might have been funny at first but it's been a few weeks! Get a clue!

Everyone in the Arc family gets airsick like no ones business. One reason Isabel became a doctor (and a secret she will never tell anyone) is because she can bulk order new barf bags and no one will look at her oddly. A shipment that Isabel redirected to Jaune is the greatest present he could ask for (much to NPR and RWBY's confusion)

so what you're saying is basically "Not this time, Fate" by Coeur Al'Aran, but with time traveling NPR and RWBY?
yes, please.
is anyone willing to write this?

Some prompts and ideas:

-How does Doctor Knowall (aka Future!Jaune) ingratiate himself with the Beacon staff and students?

-Cardin asks Jaune for advice with girls.

Cardin: "I mean, you're a harem protagonist dude!"

Jaune: "Wait what?!"

Cardin: "Are you kidding?! You hang out with that Belladonna chick! She's the only one she does!"

Jaune: "W-We just have a book club!"

Cardin: "You train with Pyrrha freaking Nikos and work out regularly with Yang Xiao-Long!"

Jaune: "Er, they're just mentoring me?"

Cardin: "Rose keeps stealing your shirts and hoodies to sleep in them!"

Jaune: "She... Says she's just chilly..."

Cardin may just be messing with Jaune in the hopes he'll strike out with these girls like he does with Weiss, or he might genuinely think Jaune is some kind of playboy.

-Ren helps train Weiss in hand-to-hand combat since she keeps getting her shit wrecked. She chooses him because he won't tell her friends about it. Her pride won't let her reveal she thinks she's weak. They bond a bit over this.

-More ideas for Cowboys of Remnant! How does Orleans express her jealousy of the girls getting close to Jaune? And how do the girls manage the clingy horse?

-Tangy "Tanya" Arc takes a job as a part-time teacher at Beacon. As does Aqua Arc, with her team. Much mortification and chaos ensues.

-Every family has blackguards and blacksheep. So who are the villainous Arcs around?

-Sun and Weiss get stuck out in the wild after a training mission goes wrong. How do they bond?

-Jack Arc may be Jaune's evil twin raised by Salem... But he's still an Arc and so he's still got that golden retriever thing going on, albeit more subdued. Cinder actually finds herself beginning to trust him. How does their relationship go?

-Every family has blackguards and blacksheep. So who are the villainous Arcs around?

Jaune's grandmother is an Arturia-expy, so the obvious answers are Morgan and Vortigern.

Nana Arturia's sealed spear, Rhongomyniad, is more than just a weapon - it is a relic of the God of Light, planted as a pillar of the World. The alien nature of a God overwrites those that dare touch the weapon for too long, and Arturia almost never uses it. To succumb to the weight of its power is to become the Goddess Rhongomyniad; a being whose human decency is expressed through the alien, incomprehensible will of a god. In an act of cosmic irony, the only way to wield the spear and retain one's humanity is to willingly bear the blessing of the Dark God as well.

I had this idea.

What if Remnant have it's own version of Starcraft game which is called Dustcraft.

Minerals = Dust
Vespene Gas = Biodiesel ?

Terran - Human
Zerg - Grimm
Protoss - Faunus

Now this game has an online mode called Conquer Remnant which allows player to conquer the online world. However it also got computer enemies like human bandits, wild grimms and faunus terrorists.

Commanders and Specialties

Ironwood - Robot units
Winter - Specialist
Maria - Silver Eyes

Salem - Large Agressive Grimms
Cinder - Disposable Cheap Grimms
Merlot - Mutated Grimms

Ghira - Honorable Faunus
Sienna - Deadly Faunus, White Fang
Ilia - Stealthy Faunus units

Now Starcraft only has 3 races but in Dustcraft they will have 4. The Number 4 does seem to be significant in RWBY. I mean 4 maidens, 4 relics, 4 kingdoms, 4 person per team.
The fourth race is A.I.

Penny - Androids units
Jaune - Mecha Grimms
Sun - Faunus Automaton

Salem be like

Salem: Well, I guess I can try this game.

1 hour later.

Salem: Take that! I'm the No1 Grimm Queen, not you CinQueen21! *Using Grimm units to beat enemy players.*

The team is surprisingly functional and well-oiled; Jaune catches up to Blake before she can pull her disappearing trick and drags her back to their team. Even Blake's departure to Menagerie is made with the full consent and blessing of her teammates.

When travelling with team JPBY, Ruby also finds out just how close they are one night. Jaune has his hands full.

Ruby: "Now that's a naginata - I mean, filth! FILTH!"
Blake: *ghlrk hrrgk ghrrrrk HRRRRK!* ("Go away you overdeveloped gothic midget, kitty needs her cream!")

Jaune reveals he's known that Blake's real identity all along; his faunus friends in Radian made him a set of bingo cards for Menagerie faunus as a joke. Ever since he's met Blake, he's had to write back home weekly for new copies.

Random Interactions with the Arc Siblings New
Ruby stared at one of Jaune's sisters, Orchid. Orchid stared back through her glasses. She reached up and adjusted her frames.

Orchid: "Would you like to help me do maintenance on a Galatine 233 Autocannon?"

Ruby: "... Does it have the auto-targeting upgrade system?"

Orchid: "Yes. It also needs calibration."

Ruby: sparkling eyes "I would love to!"

Orchid: "..." small smile "Good."

Lilac: "Would you like to learn how to cook, Pyrrha? I taught Jaune and he really loves it when I cook-"

Pyrrha: "Y-Yes! I mean, um... I've never learned. And I would love to!"

Lilac: "Certainly! Let's start off with something simple: Eggs!"

Five minutes later... The kitchenette is on fire.

Pyrrha: "OH NO!"

Lilac: "Oh dear... Aqua!"

Aqua summons water to douse the flames... And everyone else.

Lilac: "Well... Thank you Aqua. Can you please remove the water now?"

Aqua: "Is this the thanks I get for saving your life? The Great and Powerful Aqua, Goddess of Healing, deserves better than-!"

Lilac glares pure DEATH at Aqua. She squeaks and all the water is removed and flies out the window.

Aqua: "No problem, dear sister! Just glad you're okay!"

Lilac: all smiles "That's my wonderful sister!"

Pyrrha: stares "Wait... You're sweet and kind... And yet... Assertive?"

Lilac: "Would you like to learn?"

Pyrrha: "YES."

Weiss confronts Tangerine "Tanya" Arc.

Weiss: "You're a murderer!"

Tanya: "No, I run a paramilitary operation to protect valuable settlements, facilities, and caravans from being attacked. Killing bandits is just part of business."

Weiss: "Well what about these assassinations, huh?!"

Tanya: "What? Remove the crime lords ordering all this nonsense and people who just want to make money can do that freely!"

Weiss: "And what about THESE killings, huh?! You didn't target gangsters!"

Weiss holds up a holoprojection. Tanya reads it, thinks about it, and nods.

Tanya: "Oh. Those were scam artists peddling NFTs and Crypto-currencies."

Weiss: "... Well... Huh."

Hmm so RWBY is now owned by Viz. I wonder if they should just reboot RWBY and either remake it so that it does properly focus on Team RWBY or do it like it originally was intended and focus both RWBY and JNPR. Or just continue with season 10 or the like.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But I'm hoping it's a reboot with a focus on RWBY and JNPR equally. And everyone gets actual characterization.

Yeah I'm hoping they do as well but if Viz wants to make money asap then volume 10 will be a go.

Which I will ignore especially if they go with the shitty refugee rights allegory. It's not exactly going to play well nowadays and it makes zero sense in-universe to villainize Vacuo for having issues with millions of displaced people suddenly being dumped on their front door.

Was Vale destroyed or not?

I've heard people say different things.
