I do believe this was just dust weaved into the dress being used not her semblance. Or at least it originally was.

Velvet might have a severe attraction to him after he sorts out Cardin and sees him with Mia.

That said, he's going to have a lot of friction with other young men-Sun and Neptune especially.

-Willow would visit as well, and i could see Weiss shower Mia in dress that look adorable!
-Ruby would join in on the daycare rebellion! For COOKIES!
-Pyrrha would be stiff as hell but slip into public persona like when she visits hospitals.
-Nora is all for Chaos and being best Aunt and Ren is now the Uncle and will kill everyone in the room if anything happens to Mia.
-Yang would be best with Mia at first and Blake would try but be awkward until she lets down her guard properly

Given that it's Remnant and they are the children of Hunters living in an Academy I totally imagine Mia getting all the other kids together and trained using Coco's minigun. After all kids are best when using crew serviced machine guns and the like.
