[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

Dude, that gives major The Ventriloquist and Scarface from Batman and Sid the Demon Hunting Dummy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes.
That sloth plushy has got to be a former Huntsman.
There are multiple different magical girl franchises that uses plush animals for their mascots. Or similiar things.

Kampfer, Puella Madoka, The Magical Raising Project I do believe.. And the fact that all three of those are not good magical girl settings tells me one thing. Jaune, Ren, and Pyrrha need to get a wood chipper, steal all of the Fire Dust from the White Fang/Roman, and make a glass pond where they killed the thing just to be safe.

I would also suggest blessing the area as well but not enough sources of Holy Magic to do that.

He's not that bad. He's definitely not a good guy but he's not on that level.

He's a former agent of Ozpin who tried to act as a spy in salems forces. She didn't take kindly to it and put his soul in a new body. Started as a actual plushy but as he eats things he's slowly turning the body organic (with a eventual super form to assist Nora). Will note that he was working for Ozpin as a alternative to being executed for banditry. ;)

When the gods are summoned, Blake somehow manages to get them to show humanity what it means to be faunus...by turning humanity into faunus.

She's just a little too smug that she's solved world peace through faunus legitimization, only for it to backfire in the worst way possible.

Weiss, a swan faunus, annoyed: "Of course it would be one of your kind strutting around like you own the place."
Blake: "What?"
Yang: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Weiss: *uncomfortable* "Well, you know, your kind. Ground crawlers."

Blake: "A gaming club? Ruby, why were you hiding this?"
Ruby, a wolf faunus: "Well, um, there are some restrictions..."
Blake: "I'm sure it's nothing-"
Ruby: "No domestics allowed."

Jaune, a lion faunus: "So apparently the New White Fang wants me to give a talk because I'm a Noble Cat? Is that what lion faunus are?"
Blake: *eyes twitch*

Maybe he has no fear of death, since he can interact with the dead consistently since he was born?
Perhaps make it so that ghosts are only the souls that can't let go? Make it so that he fears both losing his loved ones or the final embrace of death, but also fears that they meet the death required to remain as a ghost.
How big of a disaster results when Nick Arc tries to be secretive, stealthy, and subtle?
Every time Ozpin assigns him a mission, at least one building explodes and everyone knows exactly where he is… but the destruction is completely unrelated to the actual mission, which always gets completed with none the wiser.
his Crocea Mors would become a shiny Honedge(cause of the blood of Penny)
Maybe it keeps Penny's soul? Angst, because she is now trapped in a sword, but also joy because he didn't completely kill her. In terms of mons, Magikarp is a classic, and Ralts wouldn't be at all surprising, a they're empaths and appear to people that they feel have good hearts. Gallade also has a knight theme, so it would fit him while Gardevoir is based on guardian angels, is fiercely loyal, and has a decent set of options to be a healer, when not bound by a four-move limit. The Clefairy and Chancey lines would also fit the healer bit. Kingambit would fit his role as leader, but contrast it with more ruthless tactics. Aggron fits the knight/tank role, and is also just a Mon I like. Leavanny fits his caring nature, while also being a Mon that will make sure he takes care of himself.

That's what they were called! I couldn't remember what they were called, thanks!
Nora, of course, bonds with a Megatherium, a giant ground sloth about the size of an elephant.
Was the entire purpose of this idea to justify Nora getting a giant ground sloth?
Blake: They also have horns which they use to defend themselves. The locals believe the horns to be medicine.
I like the idea that Blake didn't want to go at first, but this is her home, and so she's going to make sure they're properly educated about all the wildlife. I would intend for her to be entirely accurate, unless you want to play with the idea that Menagerie's ecosystem is so competitive that animals evolve at speed to keep up.
Blake: "Huh, I didn't know this breed had acid blood"
Yang: "WHY IS IT COMING OUT OF THEIR EYES?!?!"
Blake: "Oh, that? They all do that."
Jaune would be the one to 'teach' there baby that war crimes are a checklist
Radian is Remnant Canada confirmed?
-Ruby and Jaune both firmly believe there is a Santa Claus, as does Nora. Weiss and Blake try to disabuse them of the notion. Hilarity ensues when everyone else tries to keep them from ruining things.
How will Weiss react when she realizes that this Santa sounds a lot like her grandfather Nicholas?
Turns out he also is able to divert Schnee funds without anyone noticing to build toys for human and Faunus children alike, and then delivers them.
This is allowed under an old provision from Nicholas, and no one has noticed or knows exactly where the money is going.
"Thanks," Jaune beamed, "I like reading with you too. Though uh... Ninjas of Love is um... A little racy for my tastes."

"It's still brilliantly written," Blake insisted.

"I didn't say it wasn't! Honest!" Jaune insisted.
Aside from the fact that you used "insisted" twice in a row, I am amused by the idea that the infamous Ninjas of Love is actually a very well written story, and just happens to be smut. Also, the title Ninjas of Love just makes me think of the song "You Snuck your way right into my heart" from Phineas and Ferb.
Again, I wanted Blake to grow and change as a character.
Good. Static characters have their places, but if you want a rich and dynamic story, that place is either out of the main focus, or exploring how the world changes around them, either contrasting the change with them or showing how they change the world around them. Blake does nothing on this list, and while I'm sure a good writer could come up with plenty of other ways to use a static character, RT didn't do that either, and so Blake has no place being a static character.
Jaune: actually it was ...kinda the other way around....
So, she wanted him to collar her, or she collared him? Or both depending on the day?
*brushes away tear of pride*
Jaune: "This makes me extremely uncomfortable, but I'd rather he give me the company than give it to someone like him."
Honestly, what do you guys think I'm in the workshop phase right now. Anything you guys suggest I change?
That's an interesting premise. I wonder how long it will take them to realize that higher numbers=better, at least to a degree, and reclassify his semblance as the ability to put numerical values on capabilities?
Boost Blake's semblance. Her clone becomes permanent. Bonus points of it's one made when she's using dust or she did it more than once before realizing it.
Or: make Blake Schrödinger's cat. Let her create a duplicate that might as well be real… and until either it or her takes enough damage, she is both the duplicate and the real one.

Sun and Jaune's Double Date with Blake and Yang New
ANYWAY! We need more ideas for Team SSSN and fun. We had an older idea of Sun asking Jaune to ask out Yang to go on a double date with him and Blake. Imagine it going crazy.

Sun: "Jaune! Take Yang out! With me and Blake! A double date is way less stressful, right?"

Jaune: "I uh... Well... What about Weiss-?"

Sun: "Dude."

Jaune: "Uggggghhh... Fine."

Later...

Jaune: "HOW DID WE END UP FIGHTING TERRORISTS?! AGAIN?!"

Blake: "Sun, honey, this date was a fantastic idea!"

Yang: "IM GOING TO SKIN THAT CAT!"

Jaune: Sigh "Well... We stopped the plot... And with a minimum of collateral-"

The warehouse explodes.

Blake: "... Run."

Yang: "Quickly!"

They sit at a cafe while the police and firefighters go by.

Sun: "Sooo... What about the art museum for our next date?"

Blake: "... Sounds good."

Yang: "Jaune… next date, we're going alone, to a quiet place. Like a movie. Or dinner. Just us two. And no insane Terrorist-seeking moron with us."

Jaune: "Wait there's a next date?"

Yang: "Yes, doofus! I refuse to let this be the only date I've gone on at Beacon! So you're taking me to a nice place, and then maybe, we'll go on a third!"

Sun: "Woo! Sounds great-"

Yang: "YOU'RE NOT INVITED!"

Sun: "Sooo... What about the art museum for our next date?"

Blake: "... Sounds good."

Yang - "HOW DID THE MUSEUM CATCH ON FIRE?!?!"

Blake - "The White Fang was running an art forgery operation, and they had to be stopped!"

Jaune - "Why not just, SAY, call the police?"

Blake - "A message needed to be sent!"

Yang - "What, that phone's are too complicated for cat faunus? Also, where did Sun get that banana?"

Sun - "Some dude taped a perfectly good banana to the wall, and started yelling when I peeled it. Weird place, I think we're better off without that museum to be honest..."

Something tells me that she saw how insane Blake's ideas about dates were and wanted to know what Jaune's idea of one was.

One date later, she is questioning herself about whether she wants to go with the thrill seeker lifestyle or just graduate, grab a certain blonde man, and get married before trying to start a big family.

Free ideas:

- Arc family idea, they're not exactly related to royalty, but they're more like the Remnant equivalent of the Belmont family.
Or if people are really stuck on making Jaune a prince (through his mother's bloodline) then maybe Nick's family that he can't remember are the Belmont-like family, and someone like Trevor is still running around hunting monsters/grimm.

- Frankenstein addition, because it's spooky season, Jaune as the monster of Frankenstein, but like the creature was intended to be, Jaune is actually incredibly handsome when Isabel stitched him back together.
In the book Frankenstein is a perfectionist who actually made his creation very handsome (best eyes, best hands, etc), but unfortunately, cobbling together the parts in such a manner meant that once the monster started moving, he fell squarely into the Uncanny Valley.
The eyes in particular are noted to be a strange shade of yellow, which Victor thinks is horrible and rejects his creation, causing a whole lot of pain and suffering for a whole lot of innocent people.

Both the Victor Frankenstein and Adam (the name of the creature) are both monsters, not because one is made that way and the other does horrible things that get people killed, because both of them did things that hurt and killed people, and completely refuse to take responcablilty for their own actions.

- What if we took some inspiration from Hollow Knight skills/spells for Aura techniques, as both are fueled by the soul after all.
I've tried some ideas, fun names (can easily be changes to fit more), and some in-universe descriptions about them.
  1. Focus: Simple Aura technique that accelerates the healing speed and closing of their own wounds, but requires the user to do nothing else but focus on it while doing it (where it's name comes from), and enables users to survive fatal wounds that don't instantly kill them.
It's a incredibly useful Aura technique that's pretty much a requirement to learn, but it does have downsides, as the faster you want to heal it cost an exponentially increasing amount of more Aura, which can make it drain aura reserves fast (leaving you very vulnerable and weak), and you can't move, attack or defend while using it.
  2. Soul shot: The basic of all the ranged Aura attacking techniques. A simple shot of Aura from the users arms (or other bodyparts or weapons through practise) that hits and damages things.
It's biggest downside is that it doesn't do that much damage compaired to the more advanced Aura Slash, Aura Blast, Aura Wave, and many more, but is required to learn any of them, still does pretty good damage, is a good ranged attack, works in a pinch without requiring any tools, weapons, or amunition beyond Aura to use, so it's always an option.
  3. Shade Dash: The first basic movement technique that lets the user dash a sort distance horizontally in any direction, even while in the air, by putting a part of the users Aura under tention and then releasing it (kinda like flicking your finger), creating a sudden burst of movement, which makes it great for mobility, dodging or getting into melee range.
The Aura cost is almost nothing, so it can be used almost indefenatly, but there is a small cooldown period required between each dash, and it's even possible to infuse Dust in a dash to add an elemental effect to it.
More advanced versions exist such as Sharp Dash (which lets the user damage things they hit during their dash), Far Dash (letting the user dash further), and combined with the Spirit Wings Aura technique the user can dash in any direction, including up, down, or diagonally.
  4. Spirit Wings: A much more advanced movement technique where the user briefly shapes their Aura into large wings and flap them once before the Aura snaps back into the original shape, essencially letting the user jump a second time in mid air.
While it's very difficult to use and requires incredibly good Aura control, it gives the user an unrivaled amount of mobility compaired to anyone who can't outright fly, and just like Shade Dash, consumes almost no Aura at all to use.
Users of this movement technique often add special gripping equipment like specialised claw bracelets to latch onto walls, cielings or cliff faces to add even more freedom to their mobility (and even without simply jumping off walls like most Huntsmen do is still an option and often done by them).
Like the colour of someone's Aura, the exact shape of the wings depends on each individual and they can't chose it, though form has never seen impacting function, with forms being possible such as; Dragon wings, various bird wings, multiple sets of wings, insect, beetle, dragonfly, ladybug or other wings, butterfly, skeletal, bullhead wings with engines, giant plant leaves, tentacles with membrane between them, and many other possible shapes that are even weirder.
  5. Destruction Dive: A groundstriking move preformed while the user is either in the air or jumping of something high (like a cliff), and accelerating directly downwards, causing a destructive shockwave when it hits solid ground (or enemies) or break through floors (again, or enemies) if they're not solid and space underneath, and preventing the user from taking any damage from the fall when they land.
It's the simplest of Area of Effect Aura techniques, utilizing the users momentum and impact to create the Aura shockwave.
It's downsides is that it can only be used downwards, and thus somewhat inflexible, but due to the acrobatic nature of how Huntsmen fight, is easily impemented in a combo during a fight.
  6. Soul Shriek: A much more advanced Area of Effect Aura technique, where the user blasts out all of their emotions in a large shockwave burst around them, often taking the shape of several screaming ghost version of the user themself (and sometimes of loved ones they lost), which deal a lot of damage.
Despite being more advanced, it is much easier to use than Destruction Dive, as it can be used anywhere, including while in the air, deals a lot more damage, and deals damage to everyone around the user.
Interestingly enough, Soul Shriek is often combined with partners using Destruction Dive, where the first hits an enemy from below while the latter crashing down on them from above, often squishing the enemy in an burst of black grimm gore stuff (or mechanical parts in case it's used against mechs).

Canon Yang
da02g7gydrtf1.png
also Yang fought BETTER in V1-3 then after...
This is a really fun.
What about the idea that Yang is just as smart and could have skipped grades just as fast as Ruby did, but specifically didn't so that Ruby could catch up to her and they could go to Beacon together?
Yang might also never really study for tests or higher grades because she keeps getting straight 10's (on a scale from 1 to 10) on all her written tests, so she doesn't really need to, and instead focuses more on fighting, mechanical classes/tinkering with her motorbike.

Yang - "What, that phone's are too complicated for cat faunus?"
Blake - "Welllll... Kinda." shrugs
Yang - "Blake, what by the Brothers is so complicated about using this?" slams her phone/scroll on the table a bit too loud
Blake - stares at phone "....." knocks the phone/scroll off the table
Yang - "Ah, I see where the issue is." But couldn't you just use a wallphone or one that hangs in a booth?"
Blake - stares blankly at Yang "....." knocks painting off the wall
Blake - "I honestly can't stop myself from doing that, and believe me I've tried."

You know, I did make Nick Arc an orphan who takes Isabel's last name... Perhaps he's the result of one of Oz and Salem's booty calls.

At some point, Nick joins Beacon. And Ozpin has to hold himself back from embracing his son, Nick, whom he thought was lost to him, but knows that he can't just yet as he needs to be entirely certain that they are in fact his son lest he get his hopes up for nothing. However, even after finding out, Ozpin still says nothing, having watched his son live out his life at Beacon, he's become unsure whether or not he should complicate things for them by re-entering his life after not being a part of it for so long. Striving then to silently watch over him and his family as he felt this was the better alternative.

Which means that Jaune is actually his grandson. Sheesh. Poor Jaune's got way too many damn connections to dangerous people on this planet.

Ozpin: Like father, like son. You chose a violent, bad tempered blonde.

Ozpin: Like father, like son. You chose a violent, bad tempered blonde.

Hilariously enough, this applies to Weiss too. Silver is close enough to platinum blonde. Jaune comes to the natural conclusion that Huntresses are too much drama.

Jaune: *making a call* "Hi, Katy? Wanna catch up? ...It's a date."
RWBY and NPR: *staring at him*
Jaune: "I just don't want drama."

Crack idea: Teams RWBY and JNPR find a magical McGuffin that tells them of alternate possibilities and futures that may yet come to pass. Hilarity and drama ensue.

Weiss: *archly* "Magic Eightball, what would have happened if Arc were expelled for his false transcripts?"
Magic Eightball: "Cafe...owner..."
Yang: "That's not too bad, VB! What about us?"
Magic Eightball: "Clinical...depression."
Ruby: "Eh?"
Magic Eightball: "Broken...ideals. Shattered...dreams."
Blake: "Wha...what?"
Magic Eightball: "Jealousy...envy...he thrives...you do not...."
Weiss: *pale*

Yang: "What if...what if Weissy accepted Jaune's offer for a date?"
Magic Eightball: "Holy...shit...how many...kids?"
Weiss: "Eh?"
Magic Eightball: "Stop smiling...you...repressed...nymphomaniac...the happiness...gag me..."

Weiss will stare silently...and then slowly turn to Juane who is blushing red.
