Meh, half the coffee break talks were NSFW by US standards.
And now it's Homeoffice.

Besides, only text.^

A collection of common glyphs of the poorly understood Memeorite civilization of the Second Silicon Age. Memeorite glyphs possess multiple conflicting interpretations and a complexity of meaning impossible to capture in a few short words. These are rough translations only.

I had no idea how much interest there was for studies on the languages of the lost Memeorite civilization. I've pulled together some additional translations that most scholars of the Silicon Ages agree on for you all to enjoy. As before, translations are only approximate.

EDIT: Just tracked down the originals instead of using the Tumblr screenshot. Source is @beach_fox on Twitter.

Ancient meme pics?

Well, my microwave oven finally conked out (it's been around 15 years so I'm not too upset) and needed replaced, which isn't ideal but within the emergency budget... and lo and behold, the store was doing a $25 off $100+ promotion... so I added Origin Bumblebee

to put it over the prerequisite and save a couple dollars still. My impressions are a bit mixed - he's Legends sized (~3.5") but Deluxe complexity and price (usually ~5", meaning about twice the volume) , like other recent mainline 'bees, the giant jet pack and "power conduits" are staying in the box, and I have yet to find a way to transform his legs that doesn't pop the side panels off at least twice, but he's very G1-like in robot mode and it's the flying saucer Bumblebee I've wanted a toy of since that first episode aired, sooo...

Then when I got home, I found a listing for TR Cosmos

for twenty-mumble instead of the usual forty-mumble, and it was one of those "I really shouldn't, but" collector moments again. So I guess what I'm saying is,

Get in loser, we're going to space! :p

Now if only someone would produce an episode 1 prologue Wheeljack to match Origin 'Bee for ~/< $50, so I could increment my Space Winnebago counter again ;)

Is it just me, or does his vehicle mode look vaguely like a late 80s/early 90s redesign of Thunderbird 4?

I won't say you're necessarily wrong about possible inspiration, but his vehicle mode is pretty much a 1:1 match for how it appeared in the very first episode of The Transformers, before they left Cybertron and crashed on Earth for five million years.

Fair enough. I'm not all that familiar with the source material, but the likeness was probably a coincidence anyway.

Cool-looking model either way.
