Tribal Quest, the Nyan-ening

[X] Go forth and pile both meat and Fruit near to Bird Village, watching carefully which things they pick up... hang out next to the food piles and allow your subjects to be a glimpse of your magnificent prowess as a provider.
- [X] Impress the birdies by Luring progressively bigger and scarier things out towards their village (using the same food piles) and MURDERING THE FUCK OUT OF THEM from the shadows then presenting your kills dramatically to your subjects to be, using your scouted knowledge of the terrain for striking advantage. Thus making the meat pile ever larger... Things which do not challenge you are allowed to eat.

[X] Apes mock Smashed-Finger, but Smashed-Finger show them, he show them all. Wake up at night when the moon is out, and smash rock on rock again, away from camp.

Soon after the Bird Village was discovered, the cats began making forays with their newly discovered method of befriending other intelligent beings- That is, they killed an entire pack of two-legged lizardbirds and piled them upon the cliffs above the village during the night. As an afterthought, just in case the birds were bizzaro plant-eaters like the Apes, they included a few piles of fruit, gathered carefully from the jungle.

The following morning had the cliffside nesting ground frenzied with activity. Birds flew high above, looking at the massive pile of fresh food. After a while, a few drew close- And a single cat slowly, deliberately slinked through a thin patch of underbrush and looked directly at them. The birds flew off swiftly, and the cat faded back into the darkness of the jungle.

Over the next few weeks, the piles grew- Nibbled on slightly by scavengers, but left be by the wary birdlings. One of the younger cats decided it would be a good idea to give the neighbors a demonstration of hunting tactics, and so began luring larger and larger beasts towards the village- And then, in front of the watching birds, killing them and tossing them bodily upon the pile.

The birds continue to keep their distance, and the cats wonder sadly what they're doing wrong.

Meanwhile, Smashed Finger has taken a new task upon himself- He very publicly places a heavily shelled fruit upon the finger smasher and strikes down.

This initial test results in chunks of rotten fruit flying all across the clearing. However, despite that the other apes begin to see value with the device- So long as the fruit is tested first for freshness, at least.

[Gained Tech Upgrade- Fruit Smasher]

We can't reach the birds when they are in the air. Lets try throwing things at them. Let's see, that Ape is obsessed with rocks. Maybe try those?

Agreed, we should first see about learning how to preserve food and goods. That is where leatherworking lies.

Ok gonna leave the birds alone for now. We can come back to them later when we have something that lets us stealth into their lairs.
