Has the slowdown for PS4 been fixed in Genshin Impact?

Here's a weird fun fact: Paimon is the name of a demon king from the Ars Goetia who has, among other things, the ability to summon weapons, armor, and servant spirits. She doesn't have anything else in common with him but, that's a quirky place to take inspiration from.
It would be far from the first time a work has taken inspiration from the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia, either just for a distinct name or as an allusion to some sort of trait... or works where the characters in question actually are - or are connected to - the demons bound by King Solomon.

My point was that it was a slightly unusual thing to base the cute little fairy mascot off of. It's not even the only name from the Ars Goetia in the game, so I know it was a deliberate reference too.

It's not only Paimon. Wolf of the North and Stormterror true names and even Barbatos are also named after demons from Lesser Key of Solomon.

Are they're going to use more? Maybe when Monstad region get expanded, preferably with more varied environment like Liyue region.

Genshin keeps crashing on my phone, and nothing I saw interested me enough to bother downloading it on PS4. Fucking hate using the archers though. My thumb is too fat to easily aim, and using an index finger winds up with half the screen obscured. Story doesn't really catch my interest, and the world isn't interesting enough to warrant exploration as a draw. Plus, Azur Lane has ruined me for pretty much any other gacha game. So frankly, I'm just going to delete it and free up space for pretty much anything else.

I like the porn though, what little of it I've found. So GI has that going for it, I guess.

I like that Genshin didn't lock character personal quest and stories behind the need to having them rolled. Which make sense because they aren't summons or constructs or whatever. They are people living their own lives in Teyvat.

And I wonder how much influence on gaming industry Genshin Impact will have with it success? It's already estimated that Genshin will have it full production cost fully returned by end of the month, maybe earlier. And by end of November game will also cover all advertising and promotion costs.

F/GO might be getting a serious competition in gatcha gaming. GI definitely found it "niche" in being multiplatform cross play game.

That's unfortunate. My PC doesn't have the specs to run it.
Oh, it's not gamebreaking just mildly annoying. The full on slowdowns have been relatively sporadic and minor and the items are just bitchy about being picked up the first time you hit the button.

Hm. Well either way, I probably won't be dealing with it for a month or two. I am only about halfway through Yakuza 5, have to beat Yakuza 6 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon (aka Yakuza 7) will be released in the US in a few days. Then there's Judgement (a Yakuza spinoff) and the Fist of the North Star game which is made by the Yakuza team and has many of the same gameplay elements.

As you might be able to tell, I love these games. I'm honestly kind of surprised I haven't gotten burnout yet considering I have spent the last few months making my way through 3, 4, and 5.

Really though, I wonder if she was originally intended to be a creature and that tested poorly or something, so they made her a... space fairy? Space fairy. And they just didn't change the script afterwards meaning the MC and what's her face come off like cannibals.
The model seems to be based off the ancient weapon spirits from Honkai Impact. So at the very least, the game model is deliberately made like that to save resources for other things.

Edit: among the others, the previous incarnation (named ELF) have motifs like vampire and phoenix, so you could count them as bat and bird respectively.

Most of my slowdowns on base PS4 come from lag spikes. It's usually tolerable at around 80ms, but at 90+ I start getting input issues. The worst is when a glide input gets dropped.

Played ten hours of Baldur's Gate 3, really enjoy. Ran into militant isolationist radical hippies worshiping around the tree-Kaaba, some tentacle bois who only want to hug me from inside my skull, Big Skelly pushing Big Skelly agenda, thiccass ogres/giants/whatever I didn't bother examining them, Yolothamp Geddarm, and even a female ogre getting it on with a furry... look, I don't really care about nostalgically fantasizing about rubbing hot oil on Minsc's chest muscles. The game's pretty good. No chest, ass, or leg sliders though, which is disappointing. Probably have to pay more attention to LoversLab once mods are a go.

I'm downloading it now and man the salt that is being generated over the fact that it is turn based is fucking hilarious.

Also is there any kind of time limit due to the whole

going to turn into a humanoid squid thing?

so there's like three piles of salt
the nostalgic doomers who want to suck minsc's cock, or other bhaalspawn shit
"wah wah why isn't this a direct sequel to the story of BG2?"
the smug manlets who can't comprehend that their preferred type of gameplay isn't the only type that anyone will make
"waaah turn based baaad"
and the bitchass hoes who think stories can't start with a bang
"waaah you can't just level 1 on a spaceship full of illithids and devils and dragons"
"fun intro goes brrr"

spoiler nah, but some of the story progresses the more "time" passes in the sense of how much you long rest, and when you don't rest for a while, your characters start wheezing /spoiler

...that's just stupid.

I get it that the bhaalspawn story was great (I fucking love it), but with what has been made of it (as in, the garbage fire novelization as canon and Abdel the Retard as the canon PC) wouldn't you want to go far away from it?

I'm going to wait until it, BG3, is on sale and/or I have more disposable income to get it.

Good idea. I ended up requesting a refund on Steam since after playing it for a bit, I didn't think it was worth the $80.00+ price tag for an early access game.

I got really hooked on Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.

It's like the time when I first tried Dwarf Fortress all those years ago.

You though DF had a lot of detail... well, that's true: it has more than any other game, except for Cataclysm. It has even more.

(you generally can't go wrong with Sseth's recommendation btw)

Nah, DF is waaaaay more pointlessly detailed. Having toyed around with the code of Cata (and a few others), the underlying systems are far simpler, and in terms of detail it doesn't stand out from most roguelikes.

Oh boy, another video game adaptation from Paul W. S. Anderson and Resident Alice herself!?!? I can't wait to not watch that! :V

Honestly, it might actually work a little better in a Monster Hunter movie than it did in the Resident Alice series. Of course, that won't help the plot holes and/or continuity errors that'll probly pop up.

Honestly you have to admire the dudes dedication to showing off his wife.

At least it's not like MH has much of a plot to follow, so he can go full Original Plotline without getting the fanboys up in arms about it, so long as he doesn't fuck with the foundational background too much.

I'm going to be up in arms about it. Because no fucking way will the monsters look good.

Isn't this MH movie the one where some american squad got Isekai'd to MH universe? Like, is the isekai part even necessary when you can do away with it?
