Vote Thread for Ack's Omake Corner

Yeah but it also has a happy Taylor who isn't suffering, has a non-PTSD traumatized boyfriend (and girlfriend/best friend and others) and has cool powers (she made Lungs BALLS explode) yeah its only getting a plot NOW but it IS a lighthearted romp after all its good for "detoxing" after some darker stuff.
Frankly, I have other sources of lighthearted fun that don't make me put up with the turnoff of mixing plotlessness with sex.

I am honestly critiquing the fact that there wasn't any plot in the fourteen chapters that I read.

I've read stories that were OVER in fourteen chapters.

I gave it way more chances than I would usually give something without any plot, exactly because people kept saying that they were sure there would be plot soon, and it continuously failed me.

Edit: I misread that and thought you were talking about NSW, which I could almost understand you being confused at me not liking. I'm no longer going to attempt to appease your nonsense, now that I've realized you're talking about the world that is darker than canon worm with even less hope or any reason to stick it out and nobody is likable.

I realized earlier today that I have been confusing Ack's MirrorVerse with Cracked Mirror. I was upset at first, but the latest update of MirrorVerse has retroactively earned my votes. I am now convinced that Ack is a witch.

You should totally listen to me, when has a talking Snake let anyone down? :D
I seem to remember something about an Apple (or a quince for the really studious).
It has negative values of plot.

I understand that this is a selling point to some people, but I prefer for there to actually be a plot in my porn.
Just abot all of Acks NSW fics have negative plot value. That's why the ONLY time I've voted for one was to get it's final chapter out and open up a voting space for a good fic.

... And frankly... The porn isn't that good either...

Vote 62: Trump Card
Thanks, as always, for voting.

Well, that's Wyvern, with two chapters for the price of one :p. Trump Card came up as expected. After that ... well, let's have a look at what Jim Starluck had to say:

Jim Starluck said:
Currently Trump Card is in the lead, and looking to gain around 119 votes this round to win the next one in the mid-700s
.
741 points. Good call.

Jim Starluck said:
But coming up fast is Alea Iacta Est, making 126 votes a round and a shoe-in to win Vote 63. Then we've got I, Panacea chugging along at 84 votes a round to win Vote 64, and newcomer War Games making a respectable 37 votes a round to finally score its first win in Vote 65.

After that, though, up-and-coming crowd favorite Wyvern is climbing back to the top after its first win at a blistering 169 votes a round -- not as fast as its peak of 193, but still faster than anything else has ever managed before. Odds are good it'll break the 800-vote threshold to win Vote 66. Then we have our old friend Recoil cruising along at 108 votes a round, following Wyvern up above the 800 line to win Vote 67.

Things get risque after that, as the long-running smutfic NSW (and if you don't know what that stands for, kids, ask your parents) finally climbs back on top of the pile in Vote 68. From there it looks to be Security! in Vote 69, and then Trump Card stands a good chance of breaking the 900-vote line in Vote 70, while Alea Iacta Est may well be the first to hit 1,000 in Vote 71.

As always, these projections are subject to change as more votes come in and people shift their voting patterns. The further out you look the less accurate it's likely to be.

Well, we shall see what we shall see.

Anyway, thanks again for voting, and I hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

For anyone who hasn't voted on this thread before, the voting rules go as follows:

1) UP TO six votes. I will not count anything extra, and a write-in will likely be ignored (if I want to write a different story, I will, but at my own discretion). Suggestions are welcome, but I am under no obligation to carry them out. And just remember, the more stories I am writing, the longer it will take for your favourites to roll back around.
2) First vote is worth six points, second is worth five, and so on.
3) You can't vote twice on the same story. First vote is the only one that counts. QQbot will count the last vote and ignore previous ones.
4) If I say "Voting is CLOSED", then this post comes up, with "Voting is OPEN" at the bottom, then you can vote again.
5) If I say "Voting will continue", it's still the same voting period. Voting has not restarted. You can not vote a second time.

Vote format looks like this:

[X] Alea Iacta Est - 6
[X] I, Panacea - 5
[X] Security! - 4
[X] Recoil - 3
[X] Trump Card - 2
[X] NSW - 1

Specifically: SQUARE brackets around an X, one space, and please spell at least the first word of the name of the story properly. Number of voting points comes last. Please try to format your vote properly, so as not to confuse the vote counter.

Thank you.

Voting is OPEN.

I've decided to go with the strategy of putting those who are kinda low at the top of my list, and those that will probably update no matter what closer to the bottom. Wyvern is at slightly lower priority now because while it's still awesome, it's slightly less cliffhangery. I've decided to put Confrontation at the top because at this point I just want to know a bit more. Seriously, it's been too long.

I like them. Even the ones with a premise that I don't really care for are written well. You are a good author.

I don't think it's Ack, exactly. Lack of plot is a problem that most NSFW fics have. I think they tend to work best as omakes to a more serious work.
Oh I've come across some exceptionally well done NSFW fics.

I'm hesitant to link to any, because this is the SFW section, but off the top of my head Monster Girl Quest (it's on AFF) definitely jumps out; there were also several really good PokeGirl fics... if you're willing to sort through all the really bad ones. Wild Horses and Poke Girls (the very first PokeGirl fic, and the one all others were based off of) was one of the best ones.

Well, we shall see what we shall see.
Predictions from the spreadsheet aren't much changed this round, even though they're now using the average of the last 5 votes. Order looks to be:

AIE in Vote 63, at 750~ votes
I, Panacea in Vote 64, at 800+
War Games in Vote 65, at 700+
Wyvern again in Vote 66, just shy of 800
Recoil in Vote 67, mid-800s
NSW in Vote 68, also mid-800s
Security! in Vote 69, possibly beating Trump Card to the 900-vote mark
Trump Card in Vote 70, definitely passing the 900-vote mark
AIE in Vote 71, still liable to break 1,000 votes
Wyvern in Vote 72, also hitting the high-900s

And if you vote for Meet the Heberts, you get a complimentary like! ;)
I would've tried to tempt you with Andrea taking off clothes again, but she ran out.
