The order doesn't matter to the vote counting software, but putting them in order does make it a lot harder to accidentally have two of the same number, as has happened occasionally.

However, your comment regarding the '[' is entirely valid.

Meh. I've disliked that story ever since the original Amy was killed off.

That layout was a really escalating storyline, however. I can certainly applaud you at least for that. Not sure if it would've been better written out, anyway.

Two or three of them, IIRC.

It was left unclear in the AO3 version whether Amy survived the stabbing; but, IIRC, the next chapter made it clear that she did not, which moved the plot from grimderp back towards grimdark, and eventually made me dislike the story.
