    Sometimes I see these stories where they take the "using evil to fight evil", or "fight fire with fire", concept a bit...     it's edginess, pretty much. The first part is more or less the power fantasy of "I do whatever I want because my might makes right" and the second part is, taken at face value, a typical "Pay any slight and enmity tenfold" thing, which is also more or less edgy power fantasy.
