  • Maybe an alternate, more interesting Zam would be one that still isekais to a lowly medieval/antiquity setting, but this Zam is really smart and deduces a method for magic from people's mysticism and religion and becomes the founder of magic
This Zam isekaied, and System Fish told Zam this is a dangerous high fantasy world where big bads destroy dimensions and swallow worlds, so Zam became a hikineet otaku inside her newbie wizard's tower where Zam learned magic for a thousand years and became a thousand-year-old virgin an Archmage, but after walking out, she found out it's just a medieval world that is only half a step into low fantasy...

I'm pretty sure the "I thought I isekaied to a xianxia world but found myself in a wuxia world" genre of web stories is based off of that overleveled japanese light novel genre

What is funnier is that the term 香 is also often used when a pretty girl reveals that she is actually a boy in disguise; with the meme phrase "兄弟,你好香", which is supposed to mean the poster of that message thinks the girl being a boy makes her more attractive

sort of like that feminine penis meme
Anyway, maybe that's why people in our world spawn without the consciousness that they are in a simulation, but it seems like this only mitigates a small fraction of excessive human behavior

I'd certainly put an odd spin on all those "NPC Roleplay" videos that are all the craze nowadays, like the "Need more bullets" or the Spiderman guys

It feels like in stories where you isekai collectively into a game (or "if you die in the game, you die in real life") on mass, like if everyone in the world enters a game, it turns out the NPCs/otherworld population aren't the most hateful, and it seems like no matter how you write, it's actually other gamers/players who are the ones who deserve to die the most,

I keep reading these stories where everyone in the other world are just minding their own business and going about their lives, and then these gamers come from another world, having already ruined one world and desiring to ruin another one with their filthy online memes and human behaviors

Makes me prefer the stories where players can't resurrect more than the ones where they have unlimited life

One is the phonetic pronunciation, and the other takes the first syllable/word and then adds "grandma" after it hehe

This is because the pronunciation of 奈 and 奶 are the same, but they have different meanings

So female xianxia novels and male xianxia novels seem to be on opposite spectrums; male ones tend to be 'if anyone offends me, I kill them', 'kill the young, come the old', and 'in the immortal world, there are only ants, fellow daoists, and seniors', while female is 'perhaps I should compromise with this hot guy', 'will they, won't they', 'I have so many jealous half-sisters and jealous stepmothers'

So I saw this one story where a female xianxia novel protagonist got a male xianxia system; she kept facing the same kind of xianxia-otome problems, while her system kept killing everyone who breathed wrong around her

This Zam isekaied as an otome villainess; she is the true princess of the empire, but she was lost when she was just born, replaced by the now deceased empress' jealous handmaid's (who was also sleeping with the consort-emperor at the time and is his childhood friend) infant daughter, but this Zam doesn't want to follow the script and duel with the fake princess because she's also a reincarnated golden immortal

It's a very popular set up; "swapped at birth", because the conflict between the two fake/real daughters is very compelling to the average audience

system isn't that necessary, but it's there so that the MC-inserting audience would find greater joy in comeuppance

the not following canon bit is rarer, MC'll have Bad End and Pain if not

I just read a newly written one where this modern setting one where an orphan girl gets a divine spending system, so rather than return and be publicly labeled as an "adopted daughter", be abused by the biological mother who only loves the fake, please the biological brother who keeps asking her to be nice to the fake, etc. to make the fake feel better, she became a trillionaire instead

Some readers feel like the two daughters conflict is bound in tradition; girls require relying on others to thrive, that kind of thing, and they deride it as girls not improving themselves first, and in some aspects I agree, as self-improvement is making your soul more beautiful, but humanity is emotional bonds, being the one dad/mom/brother cares about more and using that against the other is still compelling to me

I read this one story where it was like MC relies on three system given spouses to get stronger, and then I realized this is like taking the wife collecting gacha mobile game premises but forcing it into a story
There is a saying, single draws in a gacha will drive your three generations into poverty, ten at a time draws in a gacha will ruin your life
