I mean, they handled a few of the gifts right, like these specific gifts that have supposedly deep meaning that just coincidentally take you back to the places you need to go during your journey, but you know, it's like, how loose you gotta be to "fall deeply in love" with someone over the course of like three days that you'll kill your mother with them like what

I mean usually that only happens if the mother did something really bad that you would want to kill the mother even without falling in love and the reason they fall in love is because they are shown how bad the mother is or that there is a way out.
I know I complained about RPG mechanics where you give lots of gifts to a companion and their affinity to you rockets from -25 to 100, but look at it in real life, like some random backpacker who just saved a wartorn country comes up to Zam and gives 5 houses, 3 cars, 1000 fashion accessories, a year's worth of snacks, a box of jewels, upgrade all tech gadgets, compliments for days, you telling me you no doki doki?

I guess it's just all of the characters in dragon age are too unattractive to me for me to want to give them gifts...

B-but the materialistic items have a heart over them when I'm in the "Gift To X" screen, clearly that means that item I bought for a pittance of my heavily-grinded fattened coinpouch is the key to their heart!

Best way to run it would probably be to have a hardcap on affection that's only raised by meaningful interaction, but let gifts push you up to that cap and maybe elicit some reciprocity if you're capped out.

Sometimes, I just don't get it when they draw on eyebrows, like so thick, so long, so angular, you can tell from a hundred meters away that they're faker than plastic boobs, and they don't even read xianxia trash but those look like sword eyebrows, but it's like part of some kind of fashion thing, and it's like, only under three filters does it look human, but people still spend so much time on it

I feel like that's just what happens when people see all the people they think look good online doing the same thing, they emulate it to seek that same sense of looking attractive.

well, yes, but you know, it's like peach fuzz but on the forehead, because they gotta trim the eyebrows first before doing that kind of landscaping on their brows, right, and it's like, if they didn't draw on one day, it's like they look like super saiyan three gokus, so they gotta draw everyday, and all that's there's is this fuzzzzz

"My big brother can mpreg kids!"

"Oh yeah? My big brother can mpreg more kids!"

"So? My big brother can mpreg all the men in town!"
