Bakuda Quest! Or 'Problem Solving Through The Application Of Explosives!'

That would be kinda funny though, somehow managing to squeak by in a Worm Quest without ever triggering by grace of the dice.

Do you not want Alice to get powers, for some reason? Besides, Gideon would probably have just made it so that the professor was in on it, or something.
Personally, I agree that triggering is good... but there's no need to be stupid about it. Like now... we're stuck with a guy whose balls we kicked, while someone else walks off with our project.

Too be fair, I am stacking the deck towards having a Trigger Event. I mean, how else is this going to be Bakuda Quest?
We don't need a trigger event to stick bombs in people and terrorize them, unless they're something like Crawler. :p

Combat, Dodging and Damage explanation is now on the char sheet! Read to avoid confusion!

[X] Fight.

The fucker actually expects you to roll over and die? Fuck that! Your leg lashes out...

Alice Attack Roll: 1d100-15=33

...and it barely clips his leg but the distraction is enough to pull him out of his gloating as he jumps, shoving Clarke back.

Lee Clarke Recovery: 1d100=68

Clarke recovers, but at the same time Donovan has shoved the Leech in range of your hands!

Alice Grapple Roll: 1d100-15=43

You don't get a good grip as your hand lashes out for his leg, but it's enough. Clarke trips and slams the back of his head on the wall with a hard crack.

Lee Clarke is Badly Stunned!

Suddenly you see movement as Donovan comes with his bat swinging!

Alice Dodge Roll: 1d100-15=-5

KRACK!

Physical Status: Badly Injured! -25 to all rolls!, Broken Arm (Left)

"You, I am going to enjoy fucking you up, and then making you vanish. Because I can do that, I have to money and connections to do that, and you...you're just a bitch that doesn't know her place."

You only have one chance. You need to just focus and deal with this bastard!

Focus: Add +40 to a single task/attack/action

You notice that Clarke dropped that stupid switchblade he carries around to act cool. It must have slipped out and slid across the floor when he fell. Your fingers on your unbroken arm curl around the blade as Donovan postures. Just a little closer...

Weapon acquired: Switchblade Knife
Description: It's a cheap switchblade, still sharp.
Damage: W2

"Now, time to deal with you." He kneels close, and you strike!

Alice Attack Roll: 1d100+15=40
Donova Blake Dodge Roll: 1d100=76
Difference: 36

Your frantic stab manages to slice into Donovan Blake's skin, the shock of the attack causing him to drop his baseball bat!

Donovan Blake is Cut! -5 Penalty!
Donovan Blake is Shocked! -10 Penalty!
Donovan Blake dropped his weapon!

Gingerly moving your broken arm, relieved that it's a clean break, you quickly consider your next course of action.

[]Kill the fuckers!
[]Get Blake to back off, turn your attention to Clarke.
[]Grab your phone, you need to tell the campus authorities, now!

Also... *Sheepish Smile* Breeder Quest? Or did you just lose inspiration for it?

[X] Retrieve bat and press the attack on Blake.
-[X] Disable him with shot to his pride
--[X] Call for help on phone while keeping the two covered as best as we can manage.

Now that the juice is flowing, I shall update that soon.
Yay! :D Still waiting to see what you throw at us... actually are we going for encounter table, choosing which planet we go to (presumably from the star maps we grabbed from the ship), or straight to the commander?

--[X] Scream out "RAPE!"

You stumble to your feet, dropping the knife, broken arm hanging limply at your side before kneeling to pick up the baseball bat as Blake touches his face with a hand and stares dumbly at the blood on it when he pulls his hand back. He looks at you approaching, dragging the bat across the floor, and he goes to scream.

You focus and don't give him a chance.

Alice Attack Roll: 1d100+15=46
Blake Dodge Roll:1d100-15=49
Difference: 3 Miss!

The bat flies barely inches from his face as you miscalculate and Blake dives for the dropped knife as you focus again and launch another swing, seeing Clarke still lying on the ground unconscious before you smile cruelly.

"So, is this how you planned it going down big man? Can't even touch a woman without her cutting your face."

He turns, swinging the knife wildly, "BITCH!"

Alice Attack Roll: 1d100+15=107
Donovan Attack Roll: 1d100-15=-1

Baseball Bat Damage: S3
Damage Roll: 1d3=2

Donovan Blake has been Knocked The Fuck Out!!!

*KRUNCH*

The bat, swung with all of your remaining might, smashes into the bastard's face and for a long moment you just stand there staring at the comatose, bloody body, before looking at the bat. Eyes widening, you drop the bat and stumble down the hallway, looking for someone, anyone who can help.

You actually feel tears of relief leak down your face as you spot one of the security guards turn the corner and he spots you, bloody, holding a broken arm, tears running down your face. You try to call out 'Rape' to him, but can only manage a pained whimper before the adrenaline running through your system finally runs out and the agony sets back in.

You see him running towards you as your vision begins to blur and fade, his voice muffled as you collapse into darkness.

You see Stars and Galaxies...

You see weapons of incredible complexity...

You witness alien beings with achievements and accolades that make you weep with jealous awe...

You see peace...

You see war...

And as the light of quantum chromodynamic weaponry begins to blind you...

You wake up. Your vision is blurry and swimming but eventually it clears up to let you stare up at an unfamiliar ceiling.

That's mostly a lie, you're in the hospital, a place you were familiar with when you were younger, before your natural perfection and superiority asserted itself. Still, you're more than intelligent to know that if you woke up in a hospital, there's a reason for it.

You try to shift you arm, and find the limb feeling fuzzy and stiff, before looking down at it to find your arm, the broken one, has been wrapped in a cast.

Ah, even in a world with Parahumans, modern medicine is still king. You try to relax in bed, wondering how long you've been unconscious when a nurse enters, "Oh good, you're awake. The TV's not working, but would you like the paper and some water?"

You nod, not trusting yourself to speak, and with a smile the nurse bustles out. You spare her a flicker of sympathy for having a job that requires contact with the sick and ill, and a brief moment of respect for her dedication. You look over at the TV and grimace. Ten years of contact with Earth-Aleph and they couldn't start a more substantial trade between dimensions that would allow for better TV's?

The nurse returns with a plastic cup and a folded newspaper, setting the latter down before handing you the former, prompting you to croak out, "Thank...you..."

You drink carefully, feeling your sticky, yet dry tongue cool from the water, before gingerly swallow, relief flowing through you as the water flows into your stomach.

You feel refreshed and much better as you drain the cup, "That's much better. Thank you." Perfection means having good manners, and you aren't about to be rude like other scum you can name. You grab the newspaper and unfold it to look at the front page as the nurse leaves.

And you nearly scream in outraged hate as you read the headline.

Hero Student Saves Fellow Student!

With a trembling hand you open the paper and quickly find the full article, detailing how brave Lee Clarke tried to stop you from being attacked by Donovan Blake, who is currently still in hospital himself, at the university, and had gotten injured for his trouble, but not before managing to knock Donovan out...

no...

No!

NO!

THAT FUCKER! HOW DARE HE!

Worse, rather than focus on your amazing perfect self, you were sidelined into some kind of damsel of distress bit part, nothing about the kind of person you are is presented, just that you somehow managed to wander into view of a security guard named Mike Allen, before collapsing.

But beyond that? Ignored, nothing about you being said. Some small part of you can accept that, but an even greater part of you is apoplectic with hatred at the fact with Lee Clarke has not only gotten away with his part in your hospitalization...

He...he's been chosen for the trip to the MIT Seminar for submitting a revolutionary particle model...that has just been confirmed by outside research.

How?

How...?

Just...how...?

Edit:

[X]Trigger with Cold Fury

On second thought, I would rather that we don't get an ability that only works when we're angry. However I don't want us to cry, or not be angry. So controlled, focused rage is better.

[X] Trigger with RAGE

First act? Kill him.

Did... did we just get a second trigger? Right after the quest started?
