    You can (and should) consider this as your go-to statement:

    Once/If you complete DoA's objective, your "return home" option transforms into "successfully return home". DoA will be willing to open the portal for you as long as you have not yet fulfilled her request. Once you fulfill her request, you cannot guarantee she will be willing to open a portal back. This really boils down to DoA's willingness to open you a portal through the foggy mirror.

    See the above. This is a mixture of "you don't know", "it depends more on DoA than you" and also "you needed the Silver Key (Knock 5) to survive the trip".

    So, bringing other people over is highly unlikely, and you do not possess the ability to open the portal on your own. But, importantly, you just reached Knock 5, and by no means fully understand your recent abilities to make an informed decision.

    Feels like this is a good starting point to get the lay of the land. May change my mind later, but for now this works.
    Things I want to do other then the obvious Axe option and what I'm picking:
    -Twilight-not this turn, but she's a central figure so a good place to go.
    -Meet Luna and Celestia-probably the wander around option. Really interested in Velvet's impression of these versions and could lead down some interesting paths.
    -Stormchaser-I want to see what he's like here and I'd like to leave this Velvet's life as good as possible.
    -The library-Potential lore, book, and artifact option. Still need to prepare for the future and if the lores and magic aren't well known, may be some easy pickings.

    The other options could be interesting, but these are the main ones I want to see and if we can get through more, awesome. Honestly just not as interested in Applejack, Cheerlie, or the Rich parents. They're good characters, but not ones we've been super invested in.

    I put a Stormchaser vote in due to being something to fix the life of Equestria Girls's Velvet once she gets back, and a Library could be be useful to get more context for the history (since the US-expy this place seems to be in had its independence in 1822 rather than 1776) and potentially lores. I also approve of meeting this world's Twilight, but I know that will get plenty of votes as is.

    It doesn't show up a lot explicitly (especially since she stopped visiting her), but given how Velvet used one her Wedding favors with Cadence to get the latter to talk to Twilight, paired with QM statements about how Questor discourse tends to represent Velvet's thoughts/internal monologue, I would say Velvet does carry a lot of regret about what happened.

    Just realized, the Key's in here but we have absolutely no assurances that we'll naturally find the dratted thing when we find the snakes. That's gonna be a right guessing game. Good thing we kicked in so many influences eh?

    Personally I have three major priorities in mind.
    1. Fulfilling Axe's request.
    2. Finding the Key so we can free/befriend Axe
    3. Finding/acquiring/adopting a wayward Bacon Horse.

    So, let me begin by saying that I am the QM, so it is my duty (and pleasure, probably) to play coy and withhold information. I can put hints here and there, of course, but giving a hard yes or a hard no would basically amount to WoG spoilers. So, I do my best to not do that.

    Furthermore, I will preface this by saying that I already have my plans for this mini-arc, and that the options already have their possible consequences written down (although no dice have been rolled, for the options that require them). Which means to say I am not about to change my plans, or the options, for this or that reason.

    However however however.

    This is EQG. I know it, and now you all know it, and we all know what this means.

    So, again, "about this".

    The bacon horse is quite, well, notorious in the fandom. Some would even say "beloved".

    I would like to ask a question about that.

    Sunset Shimmer. The antagonist in Equestria Girls 1 and the previous pupil of Princess Celestia.

    She gets the rainbow blast and makes friends with the human Mane 6 and becomes some sort of Element too.

    The original EG world didn't have any magic except for the ones that came from Equestria(Twilight's crown, the Sirens, the portal being the other side of the mirror, the time twirler, the memory stone, the various "infected" objects/plants/people after the portal was torn open... I think that was it).

    So the only Elements are the teen girls. Since I doubt Harmony has much, if any, power in this world.

    I have no desire to go with Twilight options yet again in this quest. Much rather try and get more Applejack, she gets so little screen time.

    Huh... how exactly would Harmony benefit from Stormchaser and Velvet being together when she has no connection to Harmony beyond what the average pony has? That seems more like a "helping human Velvet" option.

    Doesn't it make more sense to stick to the Elements or try to go after Celestia, Luna and Cadance?

    I have no interest in finding Stormchaser. For one thing, it's weird to set up someone else's romantic life. For another, we've already improved this Velvet's life by repairing her leg.

    As for Twilight, I fail to see how talking to this Twilight will help with talking to the Twilight back in Equestria. I'd rather go for getting to know the alter egos of less drastically developed ponies, especially ones only partially in our sphere, like Cheerilee and Applejack.

    I do not much care for Sunset Shimmer, as a character. As a person. Who they are
    I do very much care for Sunset Shimmer, as an implication of a larger world. As a story element. As a role in a performance. What they are.


    Sunset Shimmer is the pupil that ran. The pupil that failed. The pride and joy of Celestia who ran. She is the Stranger in a Strange Land. She is the inside outsider.

    In this story?

    Sunset Shimmer, the idea, is someone who ran from Equestria through the furthest gate, the most distant shore, across the veil of truth. She is the idea of someone who knew the most, grew disillusioned or scorned, and clamored to run from Celestia's light.
    She is the idea of a person who wanted enough to reach for the impossible, away from comfort and gentleness of Equestria.

    That This World is not enough, wrapped up in a ball and colored red and yellow.

    Because she is like Luna, except around Twilight's power level and with a reason for turning bad that is actually relatable. That means that most fanfiction involving her has her turn good through character development instead of by rainbow lazer cannon and that she can interact with other characters and challenges without trivialasing them as opposed to the pony demigod sisters.

    Like, I only know Bacon Horse through fanfiction, but I have yet to read a fanfic involving her that I didn't like, both as a human and as a pony. She is a character that was literally built to make a redemption story out of them and is very easy to make her the token evil teammate. She is the closest we get to a mlp vegeta or piccolo (at least in fanfiction, albeit she usually gets a main character role in those).

    As DelightedOne said, Sunset is Celestia's student prior to Twilight, afectionally called Bacon Horse by the fandom because her hair has fire/cartoon bacon colors.

    She is like a counterpart to Twilight or a Twilight for which things went wrong. The most common interpretation of her in fiction is that she thought that if she was the best student there could be (as in, the most talented) she could earn Celestia's love as a mother figure and that she lost it when Candance became an alicirn because she saw it as a random pony being given the reward she worked her entire life for (becoming and alicorn and becoming Celestia's family) which led to her running away through a magic mirror into the human world.

    There are a few other things (her personality being the opposite of Twilight's) but the core of the appeal is that her backstory is born from a tragic miscomunication and that she fit the "bad girl" of the hero group, what with her being originally a villain and that it was due to character flaws that she has to grow through.

    She is basically mean girl but redeemable Twilight.
