The arguments for going after Neighnia as a higher priority make sense, but I am not convinced she will actually care to come after us if Copper's not around to order her to attack us. She seems to have been somewhat more in the Wake than the other Names even before summoning, and she strikes me as a somewhat more passive character in general.
 
Unbound Names are a lot harder to deal with then bound Names.

Remember Baldomare, the Master could coerce Velvet to hand over her bindings. An Unbound Baldomare in the Wake would be a whole lot harder for the Heir of the Moth to bring into their service.

It's like dealing with an Unbound Mareinette. Why would she concent to such servitude when she could go her own way?

If a Name wanted to start a cult it would've done so before it was summoned. Like Master did.
Also no, not all Names ascended with cults. Even in CS you don't need to actually start a cult to ascend. Exile even can't start a cult.

To be fair, that last part isn't really true. There are several Names (including the Daughter of Axes and King Crucible) that are implied to have been directly created by their patron Hours, and thus have never been mortal.
 
There is also that possibility the Names have "things" that stopped them from being active before the Quest started.

Axe and her curse.
Mareinette and the Church.
Biedde and the Museum.
Baldomare and Illopony.
With Neighnia... she might have been just stuck as a painting.

There are certain situations where you might end up losing an artifact that is equipped by a follower.

No comment on specifics, or what those triggers might be, but it's just the risk involved in expeditions.

Now, if you go on a smooth expedition without any problems, you won't lose an artifact "just because". It's not that every single expedition has a "lmao, roll for artifact loss" even if you pass all hurdles in one go.

But say, if you take damage, fail rolls, or just meet a hurdle that is particularly hazardous, accidents might happen.

It is also sad the difference between the number of votes here compared to SV, the plan to PTN Copper had 23 votes of 46 and the killing the master had 77 votes from 155, although that one was an outlier.
I should close it tomorrow evening. Maybe twenty-four hours from now, but no hard timetables.

For now, I'll just go over the top-voted plans and check if there's anything wrong. There's still time for me to make comments, people make changes, and for stuff to proceed without any issues.

And about the number of voters, I kind of disagree. Or at least I don't mind. We have been getting around 30 voters every vote ever since we moved here, and that is still a delightful quorum! I mean, numbers look good and all, but I am legitimately glad with all of you who are still engaging with the quest despite all the site-changing inconveniences.
Furthermore, there's also that. We changed sites, after several months of inactivity to boot. Some people don't want to go through the hassle of registering to this site, some people just lost interest. I'm just glad there's people still reading what I am writing.
And finally, that's also the reason I put this quest on the public SFW section. Every now and then, the "guests" reading the quest shoot up a bit, sometimes going as high as 30 people, and that's just at random moments I bother to check. A lot of people are still us, even if only "in spirit".

So yeah, ultimately, don't complain about the fact that there aren't more people here to dilute your voting power :V

Right, my tally had a few hiccups here and there (specifically with the "kicking ass and taking names" plan) but the top three plans seem to be in agreement.

So.

"They Have a Winter Name"
-No issues that I can see.

"Leave no trace"
-Basically the same, expedition-wise, but prioritizing evidence before Neighnia. That's fair.

Aye, I don't see any problems with any plans. The last one had an issue with the tally itself, but the base plan has the intended social/study actions. So that's not a problem.

This? That's probably just because of what is qualified as innocent.

To Biedde, innocence simply isn't a factor for the most part. The "guilty" are at the far end of his blade, by virtue of being there.
To Mareintette, what must they be innocent of? No, if they are guilty of being good to taste, then all the more reason.
To Axe... frankly, she isn't one to make a judgement call either way. She thought Silky was cursed because she was small. She might get it, but getting it is a different thing.
To Baldomare, she has the opposite problem. She is perfectly aware of who is, and isn't innocent. And who, in staying, in witnessing what will transpire, will be guilty as they represent a risk now. Priority number 3 after all.
