Kill Six Billion Demons

Zoss can talk all the smack he wants, but he literally handed out seven hundred seventy seven thousand seven hundred seventy seven bargain-bin exaltations & then did absolutely nothing to stop the multiversal slaughter that came afterwards.

That is literally the point.

Zoss was pointing out to Aliceson that his own path was a failure. And the fact is that David is basically doing the same thing he did, only a bit cleaner.

So? Read the beginning of my post.

David is not the most likeable or fun character, but so far it's the one I'm rooting for.

Every other character has been shown to be worse.

I swear, I don't care how dramatic Abaddon tries (and fails) to make it. If chain pulls out a victory out of her ass here, I'll print this comic out and burn it out of sheer spite.
The entire comic has repeatedly established that intent, will, and desire are the most powerful forces in the setting, with everything else acting as no more than a way to focus such. We've been shown this. We've been told this. We've been shown it again, and again, and again.

That is how the setting works. It is how the setting has always worked. If you don't see that, I have to question whether you've even read the comic.

Ki Rata is a crutch. Solomon David lacks the desperate need to win that White Chain has in abundance.
If White Chain wins, that'll be entirely constant with the setting.

In other news, new chapter, but more entertainingly, the description is a snippet from Meti.
"Some people think my story an exaggeration and that I had a hidden blade on me or had used perfidious tricks such as poison or several of my friends hidden in ambush. I tell you no such thing is true. I started my afternoon out taking a shit on the beach and I ended up decapitating fifteen men. I had clams for dinner."

Meti remains the best gnarled old swordswoman who gives no fucks. The comic should have been about Meti.

Ki Rata is a crutch.
I don't really see how Ki Rata is a crutch. It's powerful to be sure, but it's another martial art style. We've seen other characters use them, White Chain included. And the style does require great focus and concentration because, as stated in the Manual of Hands and Feet, it has been repeatedly known to injure and/or kill its own practitioners if not careful.

Not to mention David was kicking WC's ass even before using it, so I again find that a dubious claim.

There's many, many, many lore references of people beating others that had a massive advantage in training, skill, or technique, by merely wanting it just that badly and throwing everything but instinct and want out of the window. Aesma is the biggest example, but Meti repeatedly mentions it.

When it comes to power and wining conflicts through violence, all the martial arts training in the multiverse is just wasted effort before a master of Want.

Now, that's not to say WC will be able to achieve that. She's certainly on the way of throwing away the chains of rules and the mental limitations of her species, but there's plenty of ground left to cover.

Narratively, achieving a papercut would reveal the most out of Salami Dave, force the heroes to beat a hasty retreat, and we'd probably have a third pissed off Demiurge wrecking shit and kickstarting the multiversal war again. Sounds about the right circumstances for the Red God to crash into.

All martial art styles are crutches, in the same way that all weapons are.
They can do great things, they're powerful, they allow a practitioner to surpass what they suppose their limits are. So might a sword allow a warrior to cut, and the warrior might think they require the sword to do so.

Think.

The sword is not necessary. The style is not necessary. Both can be surpassed by one who understands, even for a moment, that in order to do something one must simply do it. Limits are an illusion.

Naturally, as an angel, such a realization is antithetical to White Chain's worldview. She is a being of laws, certainties, immutable and unchanging. Likewise, Solomon David is a man of strict laws and hierarchies, a master of many formalized martial art styles. He is Diamond, hard and unbending, sharp, rigid.

But he cannot move beyond that, and White Chain can.

It all looks very pretty, but I admit I have no clue what just happend.
...It seems like, neither does White Chain though.

Given how closely she resembles a female version of Solomon, I wouldn't be surprised if his presence somehow shaped her new form. Who knows, perhaps it was even formed around a tiny part of him,

... a drop of blood perhaps?

Also, her angelic form is entirely blue/white. We saw it turn more and more orange/red the more she was consumed by anger in her fight with allison, so that's probably significant.

Well, that... happened.

Hmm. Well guess we'll see what happens next then.

yoooooooooooo

I im mad intrested in where this is going

did she give herself a meat puppet, or is she actually embodied now?

Also, I love how solomon is so thirsty for someone to beat him; or atleast hit him

hes like the oposite of motom, who was all like "take the throne but not realy"

On the one hand, the new not-so-White Chain is quite lewdable :V.
On the other hand, WTF happened . I hope there will be a good explanation soon .

Let's see if Solomon keeps his word of making White Chain the heir as it looks like she actually managed to succeed.
Well, those things have a tendency to be taken quite literally, and I think the condition was to draw the Emperor's blood, which she failed, as all I see is a bruise, not a scratch.
