[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

Was rewatching bullet train and had a fun idea.

Prior to the new school year at Beacon Qrow is tasked with delivering something to Lionheart however not wanting to do it he hires a scraggly blonde teen who is looking to earn money for Beacon to do it instead. Cue Jaune traveling from Argus to Haven and encountering a bunch of Salems minions who think he's one of Oz's agents.

and Jaune has no Aura
Oh yeah he's going to look like he's been through a meat grinder by the end.

Qrow was on the train nursing a hangover from visiting Yang and Ruby

Jaune picked up one of Qrow's feathers and made a good luck charm out of it. Turns out it has a portion of his semblance attached. Meanwhile Qrow is in Argus nursing a hangover when Glynda calls and chews him out for giving the package to Jaune. Turns out Qrow didn't read the full briefing, otherwise he would known this is all a setup to test to see if Lionheart is the traitor because if he leaked the info then Qrow would get attacked on the train by Salem's agents. Needless to say the people of Argus swore they saw a bird flying as fast as it could and screaming fuck over and over again.

In the whole history of the world, no civilization that lasted has ever put all of its eggs into once basket and only had ONE major community.

For many reasons.

This is why the megacity concept is flawed.

Yes the capital city of most civilizations was the biggest but it did not have all of the population of that civilization. It's unsustainable. Resources are not evenly distributed and getting those resources to various places has varying levels of difficulty and resource cost. We don't ship grain, vegetables, meat or fruit to one central area to be processed and distributed across the entire United States, as an example. Food would spoil, the facilities would have to be massive, scheduling them all would be the biggest nightmare in the history of mankind, etc.

So there's nothing wrong with there being four main capital cities, but there would be smaller cities focusing on various resources. Human beings have lived under siege for thousands of years in walled off cities, against beasts and other hostile humans. Remnant would be no different in that regard.

Honestly it might be better for the story if Remnant was actually in a golden age, where Mankind and Faunus were thriving and the Grimm were seen as more of an ever present natural hazard that could be managed and mitigated. That at last, Remnant would be controlled by Man again.

And Salem decided to remind humanity and faunus just who they are fucking with.

You know for extra funny Jaune should mention it to the everyone else when they are doing some kind of team building episode. Though who will be The Elder and White Death in this scenario? Can't have a Bullet Train without all the other characters. That and Japanese Holding Out For a Hero.

Idea:

- Jaune's native language isn't actually the same as that of everyone else, but is actually the Remnant version of French (because Arc).
He avoids speaking it around Beacon or his friends because he's embarrassed about it as he speaks with a rural accent, which the girls don't hear and only hear that he suddenly has an insanely sexy voice.
And this also means that Katy Sith also talks Remnant French, and possibly with a French accent.

Pietro and ironwood may have made a slight mistake with Penny. It's nothing too bad it's just....well they've seen the exsanguinator movies (starring Arnie Swaganager) and know the risks of a AI that isn't fond of humanity.

They may have over corrected.

Ruby: hi I'm Ruby.

Penny: salutations I am Penny. *Pause* I love you.

Yang: and I'm Yang, her older sister. Her very strong and protective older sister.

Penny: hello Yang. *Pause* I love you.

Remnant version of French (because Arc)

You reminded me of an idea I had.

Jaune is Cajun French and is from Vales equivalent of Louisiana.

Most people are friendly to him even if they can't understand him at times.

Jaune's attempts to flirt with Weiss are met with annoyance but mostly confusion as she can't tell if he's asking her out on a date or discussing the weather.

Other characters from his home town.

Glynda- old babysitter that as soon as she sees him slips into her old accent as they catch up leaving everyone shocked.

Coco- childhood friend that is embarrassed of her past and home town so once entering Pharos did everything to reinvent herself. However after running into Jaune she gets so angry her accent slips.

Roman- pretty much just gambit.

Salem- mysterious matriarch of the Arc family. Jaune calls her Mee Maw when she shows up to attack beacon.

A fun idea might be Jaune taking Blake out on a normal, regular date.

None of Adam's "Let's beat up humans and playact your novels" dates.

None of Sun's "Let's fight terrorists and oh man I forgot my wallet let's dine and ditch" dates.

Jaune just takes her out on a fun, normal, regular date... And now she doesn't know what to do with herself.

RWBY has a Isekai problem.

Mainly people keep dropping in with abilities.

That either have been adapted to work on aura and suck them dry because they have no training and kill them.

Or they haven't been adapted to work on aura and causes some kind of reaction with Grimm or dust. Usually explosions.

It's getting to the point that they're starting to feed the corpses to Grimm just so they can have some space in the graveyards for natives.

RWBY has a Isekai problem.
The Irony of them just dropping dead from OP powers draining them to death, or just kamikaze/epic failing into hordes of Grimm because magic attracts Grimm like moth to the flame
Ironically 1 of the main reasons Salem losing minions and the 4 city system would work is these Leeroy Jenkins types keep taking out most of her Ancient Grimm or the Horn dogs getting swarmed and dying

Could make The Arc clan being an ironic case of birth reincarnations with either dream memories or just flat reborn with Jaune being the Rusted Knight but not confusing the hell out of them
Any Arc reincarnated wants NOTHING to do with the plot and just doing basic Huntsmen work while being OP as all hell

Makes it even funnier that Ruby being a literal classic novel protag with hidden divine lineage, missing parent and parents hiding the true which would help her, a gifted amazing Older Sibling that gets taken out just as the TRUE plot starts and incompetent illuminati types that hinder more then help on top of 3 different cults
The Crown the Novels denounced by CRWBY
Human Supremist From The Session Novel
and Adam/Salem Cult of Personality going on
With Raven and The Spiders knowing magic is real along with there minions as wild cards

Pretty fun idea, though I would axe the Salem part myself (that feels like it belongsnin a different kind of story).
I had to loop up what Cajun French even was, as I'm totally unfamiliar with Louisiana (I'm european, so I only have experiance with the actual French and their rural farm areas).

Perhaps Blake ends upnbreaking down cryong at rhe end, because she never went on an actual nice and wholesome date before (and maybe brings up happy memories of doing fun things with her parents).
Blake was kinda broken by Adam's treatment because he and their relationship was just that messed up, even the actual good and fun parts of the relationship were not healthy and made things worse for Blake mentally and emotionally in the long run.
(Perhaps also why she developed a ntr fetish, her subcontious despritly wanted to get away from Adam in any possible way, including getting "stolen")
