Default assumption with the Fire Option is is you're setting him on fire.

what do we do after that? grab the injured girl and try to run? sounds like a great way to tear her stitches open, or just get us both shot.

she's unconscious, and we aren't leaving without her, attacking a cop gives us no advantage, and has an even chance of getting us shot in the fucking face.
 
Color Spray!​

You squash your initial impulses, which seem to be an odd mix of "Call for help" and your natural inclination toward "FIRE!!!"

Instead, you reach out, grab a peculiar metal tin off the ground, then toss it down the alleyway. It makes a most satisfactory skittering sound, and Purple begins to stir. More importantly, the blue man calls out in gibberish. You hear him begin to walk into the alley, the light of his wand sweeping in front of him.

He can't see you from the mouth of the alley, but you can't see to target him either. It'll all be a matter of timing when he comes into sight. You listen as he draws closer, trying to judge his distance by the sound of his steps. Your hands are raised, a Word of Power rests on the tip of your tongue and Hellfire roils in your belly.

And then he's there, his light wand sweeping over you and Purple while his other hand holds another oddly familiar wand. You respond with a light of your own, a flood of discordant, eye-wounding color. You hear a short shout, then a blast of noise, but when the colors clear he's on the ground.

Purple, on the other hand, is up. You feel a sense of disappointment as the closeness you'd grown used to vanishes, but you're rather glad she's not dead. On the other hand she seems rather concerned about the blue man lying on the ground groaning. She crouches next to him, her fingers resting on his throat for a moment as she made sure he was alright.

Maybe he was important? Good thing you didn't set him on fire.

Wait...He can't be that important, because there's another one dressed just like him standing at the mouth of the alley with another of those peculiar wands.

Purple is staring at the new blue man, a look of shock frozen across her face.

So… what do?
[X] They are obviously kin. Threaten the downed one to get the other to leave.
[X] Try to scare him away with fire.
[X] Fuck it. Burn the one that's still up.
[X] Color Spray! Not as fun as burning things, but it works.
[X] Try to calmly explain that this all a big mistake… with charades.

Note: You could only see one of them from where you were. Also, I'm almost positive cops usually travel in pairs.

wow, thats an amazingly bad idea

actually, it sounds like the last guy got a shot off when we did this, then i think purple knocked him out.


blasting someone at the end of the alleyway is probably a bad idea, because he can still fire wildly, a narrow allyway isn't a great place to try and learn to dodge bullets.

letting purple handle it might be better, she does speak the language.

purple seemed relived that we didn't kill the blue guy, they might both be important.

A Sudden Betraya?!​

You pause as you consider what to do, ignoring the man's insensate gibberings. On the one hand, setting them both on fire has a certain primal appeal for you. Fire solves all problems and makes sure they damn well stay solved. On the other hand… those wands sting. You're a big girl. You can walk off a bit of blood loss and organ failure just fine. But you'd really prefer not to soil your robes any more than they already are, thank you. They're beginning to smell.

So when Purple rises and begins talking to the blue man, you are more than happy to let her take first crack at this. You rather hope she doesn't do anything rash. She looks rather fragile…

She talks to the officer in a hurried, panicked tone gesturing to you as she backs away, toward the alley wall across from you.
Wait a second…

Whatever she sees in your eyes causes her to blanche and launch a tearful plea at the officer, who gestures her over.

That ungrateful little bitch. She's setting you up (for something you totally did, but that's not the point)! Wand or no wand, you're going to shove a flaming orb so far up her ass her eyes will light up!

Purple stumbles over to the blue man as your blood seethes with barely restrained power, almost boiling in your veins. The blue man sees the look on your face and steadies his aim on you, shouting what is no doubt a command in his alien tongue.

You're too pissed to care. You finally find a friend. You go through a bonding experience and everything! And then she pulls this shit? No fucking way.

Purple lurches past the blue man and you begin to call on your power. The blue man shouts another warning, but you just bare your teeth. You doubt you can cast before he triggers his wand, but he's aiming for your chest. A blast there won't stop you, and he won't have time for more than one-

You barely register the metallic click as Purple extends some kind of baton and then introduces it to the back of the blue man's head, causing him to crumple soundlessly to the ground.

… You never doubted her. Not even for a second. Of course Purple wouldn't betray you like that. She's Purple!

Still, you have two blue men groaning on the ground. You should probably do something about that.
