The Little Uchiha - A Naruto Quest

See, this is what's confusing me. Was Madara really that convincing to Obito that Obito, the least Uchiha of all the Uchiha's, stuck with him until he was finally allowed to leave, where he 'just happened' to witness Rin being killed by Kakashi?
You do weird stuff when you're hopped up on grief.

Don't do Sharingan, kids.

Pretty sure he didn't have a choice, since he was from recuperating from a small case of missing HALF HIS BODY at the time and couldn't even walk properly with Zetsu prosthetics. C'mon man, there was even a training montage of him getting better and by the end of it his hair was as long as Madara's.

He wasn't so much "allowed" to leave as he broke himself out in desperation (In his PoV anyway) because of visions of Rin dying, coincidentally allowing him to witness said death. And all of that was somehow planned by Madara to the minute. Somehow.

The timeline goes like this:
  1. Kannaki Bridge mission happens. Obito ends up crushed and gives Kakashi his left eye. Zetsu drags him to Madara's Crazy Old Man Cave, where he's fixed up using Hashirama Senju putty.
  2. Obito is kept there for months, for physical therapy and to listen to Madara's rambling about creating a perfect world where the living are reunited with the dead. He is unable to leave because the entrance is blocked off by a giant boulder. Tobi Zetsu (aka Guruguru) and White Zetsu keep him company and teach him how to use his new body. They are able to come and go as they wish because they're able to move through solid earth.
  3. The Creepy Cave Conspiracy arranges things so that the Three-Tails is sealed in Rin along with a cursed seal on her heart forcing her to return to Konoha where the Three-Tails will be unleashed.
  4. White Zetsu shows up and tells Obito that Kakashi and Rin are surrounded by powerful Mist ninja and need help. Obito tries and fails to break through the boulder. To help him, Tobi/Guruguru allows Obito to wear his body. Using that and borrowed power from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Obito breaks through and leaves to save his teammates. Madara tells him that Obito will return to show true gratitude.
  5. Obito makes it there just in time to see Rin impaled on Kakashi's Chidori (she threw herself on it to save Konoha). Obito and Kakashi both unlock the Mangekyo Sharingan. Kakashi collapses in unconsciousness. Obito uses Mokuton and Kamui to slaughter the Mist ninja.
  6. Obito, disillusioned with the world and suffering from the emotional trauma that evolved his Sharingan decides that he will support Madara and create a world where he can meet Rin again. He returns to the Crazy Old Man Cave. White Zetsu cleans up the remains of the battlefield, and when reinforcements reach him, Kakashi doesn't know who killed the rest of the enemy. Madara tells Obito everything about the full Eye of the Moon Plan.
  7. Obito begins acting as Madara's agent in the world, manipulating the Ame Orphans and attacking Konoha when Naruto is born.
I'm pretty sure that we are currently on step 2 at this point in the quest.

Then the only solution is to get swole as possible and prevent Rin from getting kidnapped. We then smack sense back into Kakashi, and go save Obito.
Easy.

[X] Plan Well Balanced
-[X] Running- 4
-[X] Kunai Throwing - 10
-[X] Ninjutsu - 6

A well-balanced ninja is an alive ninja. Focusing on one skill is only feasible after mid-chunnin level if we want to stay alive and healthy. (Or if we get into a team with specializations.)
Has anyone else realized that the sannin are technically the Holy Trio of tabletop parties? Tank, DPS, and healer/cleric.

Not just that: Orochimaru is a top tier Crafter, Jiraiya's a Social expert, and Tsunade has good leadership qualities.

Why do you think they're called the 'Legendary Sannin'? :p
