Update Log

This is long overdue, so here it is. In my annual update, as I say to Rena a lot of things happen during my first years of being a spirit-master. So, we going to explore a couple of interesting progress and event that happen within this years starting with my progress in local cultivation.

Thanks to the great machine 2 of the most difficult (or rather time consuming) rings have passed. And that allows me to use the extra time to do something that I otherwise don't have time to. One such thing is polishing my fighting technique. Contrary to a lot of MC action, the optimal ways to spend youth is to improved your soul concentrations and mental space. After all, fighting power can be obtained later, but the growth phase for human spiritual power is only for 60 years.

Of course, you could argue that I should use the extra time to cultivate more. While that is a valid idea there is one problem, and that is the fact that I am expected to get into a fight whether again 'young master' who might be offended by my presence or spirit hall who sooner or later will notice that I am not human.

Other than usual cultivation and martial arts training, I also use my resting time to tinker a bit more. Seeing that I will sooner or later move out of school, I decided that I need some kind of assistant robot that can be passed as a small pet, so I can keep them in school.

The creation of such a pet is fairly simple, (Well, not simple but it was nothing compared to the maid or the souls awakening platform), using a combination of mechanic skill and my speciality I quickly create a mechanical pet mouse who not only can act as assistant, but also act as spies in various occasion. Little guys immediately show their usefulness by being a secondary wallet. This is perfect when I lack some money or want to buy something a bit above my budget.

Finally, I found myself enrols on Nouding basic academy. While the 'going to school' part is intentional, getting into the same school is a coincidence. Then again, considering that Xiao Wu was my neighbour back in Stardou forest. I shouldn't be surprised to find out that we both use the same path to escort our mortal baby self out of the dens of monster. Of course, the rabbit has no idea who I am... After all, unlike her, I have a lot of countermeasures to make sure I look as human as possible...

Now that things are no longer spiraling, I think I'd like to do a little update - and a little context.

My name is Micheal Shelley. As I've said before, I was a performer. I pretended to be... let's say a medium. How it happened was... a bit of an accident, I suppose - alone and confused, in an unknown time and place after witnessing... well, to put it shortly, it wasn't very pretty. Of course, I talked to the right people, earned a little mystique as a solo act...

Then I was snapped up by the theater.

Everyone knows that I speak with the dead. I have been called a prophet, and a ghoul. I had no reason to disabuse them of their illusions.

Of course, back then, they were wrong.

I was fired though - the stage manager didn't even give me the dignity of telling me in person.

...Oh, that is more than a little context. Oh well.

As for the update...

I've been talking to an old friend, back when I thought I could make it as an artist in this time.

She's been of help, though perhaps I shouldn't talk to her about some things - Miss Naenia isn't bad, but her views... well, it's not that I don't agree, but it's not in her nature to be kind with despair and fascination.

For now, I am searching for a few ingredients for a little potion she's tasked me to do. I could very well refuse, but...

The snow and colors in my dreams now... well, some things are worth everything, no?
