it's plant base so fire should work. I wonder if the acid is flameable because a fireball down the gullet might blow him up if so.

martial arts require getting in pollen range so we need to be ready to throw out magic attacks.

also we are getting one of the blasters the fallen's exorsits use after this. we need a ranged attack that doesn't draw from out mote pool.

They're bound by its vines not actually inside it. Though we should rescue them before it actually eats them.

Also I'd like to keep a distance and be able to see everything this youkai is doing. It would suck if a tentacle came out of nowhere and got us or one of the masters.

Replace fireball with a fire/holy dragonwave

Jesus Alex wasn't kidding when he said this was the arc when things get tougher.


Still we can't panic. We need to stay calm. Time to show our strength doesn't come just from our sacred gear and dragon powers.

We'll have Sakaki and Akisane backing us up.

We also have several long range options to blast him from a distance. We should use that to our advantage.

thats what I have so far, Iron Kettle Body is a scene long soak adder that will up our soak to 17B/15L or so while Sledge Hammer is an excelent gateway charm and doubles base damage against living things, and total damage vs noliving things

so if we buy those charms we charge in, punch it in the glowey bits while using Fists of Iron (Lethal), Orichalcum Fists of Battle, Fist of the Daystar Form, Sledgehammer fist and 1st Martial Arts Excellency for that blow and then blast it with a point blank fire/holy dragon wave?

Why are we using Dragonwave? its a motesink, and without the damage doubler from boosted gear not a good one, we can do retarded damage with melee with what we have and sledgehammer fist as is


we already have Monkey Leap up, Wind Sprint is an as you need it 3 mote charm, and Reed in the Wind ups your dodge against ANYTHING

Damage goes like this

Issei Basic Punch Damage = 3B + Fist of Iron = 5L + OFoB = 10L + Fist of the Daystar Form = 14L (count all successes twice) + Sledge Hammer Fist = 28L (count all succeses twice) that for 2 motes after setting everything off, 1 mote from counting the successes twice, and one for sledge hammer fist, thats without excellencys adding dice, or the added accurcy from Fist of Iron or OfoB increasing things, seriously Issei can wreck shit like few others with this combo

Yeah, don't. Consider for a moment that a large number of gods and elementals in Creation eat long-pork without being hit with the CoD mark.

As others have said our MA is by far our best combat option, so my plan is thus:
[X] Debt Buy Iron Kettle Body and Sledgehammer Fist Punch (8xp each 16xp total) (Exp at -14xp)
[X] Activate Fist of the Daystar form, Fist of Iron Technique (lethal), and Iron Kettle Body.
- [X] When attacking use Orichalcum Fists of Battle's obvious effects, at least the first time try the Holy version too.
- [X] Dodge or parry everything we can without using charms, but if something gets through and we think it'll do a fair amount of damage perfect soak it and pray.
- [X] On the attack go all out in melee.
[X] Stunt: Well, damn. Thankfully Bright-sensei insisted upon training for just such a situation, well more or less. You take a moment to focus as you slip into a truly combat ready state before an essence laden fist strikes the closest vine holding a hostage.

Whenever the Lawgiver uses his Dodge DV to avoid a physical attack, he adds a bonus equal to half the attacker's Essence, rounded up. This bonus counts as dice added by a Charm.

Unless I'd musinderstanding, Reed in the wind is for physical attacks. So it doesn't work against things magical or energy based attacks which hopefully this youkai doesn't have.

anything that rolls against your dodge DV is subject to that charm, energy attacks, spells, whatever if you can dodge it, it gets buffed by Reed in the Wind and any other Dodge Charm, thats their thing, MDV is for not physical things like social attacks and mind control and such

Aleh, that is all of 28 hours of hell training to work off, not a big deal, and THIS is the whole reason we were giving this sort of option

Also, please note people, we have NO regen this battle with no Dragon Knacks, that make IKB Doubly important, and SFP is super useful because its the next martial arts charm we need anyway, AND makes things die faster, which we need for this, the quicker the battle ends, the less likely we are to get beaten unconscious, which would really suck for our street cred yo!
