I just caught up on the bit over a month's worth of updates i missed and i must say i like where this is going.

On a completely different and not at all related to the topic at hand note: We should devote more time to the Evil Piece research when we get a chance. The whole training arc with Azazel ended up putting it on the back burner.
I'd say that in the long run making sure our followers/friends/lovers are powerful is going to benefit us more than pure personal strength, as no matter how powerful we are we can only be in one place at a time (unless there's some obscure charm for that) and I think they are our biggest weakness right now.

Alright, here're my CMA charms that I had developed.
With the exception of the Wind charm, the other three are not beta tested yet. (Thank you Darkened for the aid on the first though, and sweet dreams-hora)

Exalted Martial Artist of the Four Elements Style - A Celestial Martial Arts style which utilizes the elements of Western Magic (Fire, Water, Earth and Wind). Practitioners of this style must have at least Melee 1 to be capable of learning the basic charms for this tree.

Created by the Solar Exalted Hyodo Issei, Bright Shattered Ice and the Welsh Dragon Ddraig, this particular style of Celestial Martial Arts was inspired by a certain popular eroge involving monster girls, an Echidna, and copious amounts of Hora.

...Despite its inspiration, practitioners of this style are not to be underestimated, for those who did so regretted their decision to do so as they were immediately torn apart by the wrath of the elements not unlike those of the Five Dragon Styles of the Dragon-Blooded.

Complementary Abilities: To properly grasp the insights upon which the style is founded, a student must possess at least melee 1 to begin learning this style.

First Dance of Sylph: Azyr's Protection
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Ok, Obvious, Elemental
Minimums: Martial arts 3, Dexterity or Dodge 3, Essence 2

The character calls upon the winds to protect him from his opponents. For the rest of the scene, the character gains a +2 to his Dodge DV. This bonus counts as dice from charms. Additionally anyone attacking the Exalt from outside his engagement range suffers an additional -1 external penalty to hit him.

First Stance of Gnome: Strength of the Earth
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Ok, Obvious, Elemental
Minimums: Martial Arts 3, Stamina or Resistance 3, Essence 2

The martial artist infuses the strength of the Earth within his body, granting him incredible vitality and strength. For the rest of the scene, his Strength, Stamina and Resistance are increased by Essence/2. This bonus counts as dice from charms. Additionally, the charm also grants him +2 auto-successes when attempting to break free of clinches.

First Blade of Salamander: Blessed Weapon of Ignis
Cost: 2 or 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-Ok, Elemental, Obvious, Holy
Minimums: Martial Arts or Melee 3, Strength 3, Essence 2

The Exalt ignites his weapon with the sheer passion within his fighting spirit, allowing him to deal additional damage with the weapon. Upon spending 2 motes, the Exalt is capable of dealing an additional 4 Lethal damage to his foe, while spending 4 motes turns the attack Holy, dealing aggravated damage to creatures of darkness.

First Grace of Undine: Graceful Waters Defence
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Combo-Ok, Obvious, Elemental, Martial: Martial Arts
Minimums: Melee or Martial Arts 3, Dexterity 3, Essence 2

The Exalt calls upon the ever flowing waters to guide his blade, allowing him to instantly parry his opponents' attacks, no matter how overextended he is; as long as he can perceive the attack being launched towards him, he can activate this charm. Increases the Solar's Parry DV by two, as well as negating any Parry DV penalties on him for the action only.

ymmv here, but I think that the mote price for Undines Charm is to high for a what it does compared to Sylphs, particularly as a CMA charm.

I'm not sure what all of those did in the game *have yet to even get to that point myself* but I think I'd have them as form charm equivalents, maybe something like the SMA Prismatic Arrangements of Creation Style, that has 4 lesser form charms, each with connected charm needed to be learned, and once you learn all 4 form charms, you can learn the final form charm that is awesome on its own, and lets you have all 4 form charms active, or 2 other form charms. ymmv of course nice work however

Well, I was going for the lesser form charms, before culminating into a single charm similar to Elegant Dance of Bow and Sword, but instead used with elements instead.
But they're not betaed yet, so it's not exactly final.

What is this style emulating? If it's a CMA there must be some aspect or idea which its charms draw power from, like the animal styles.

I present you the first Charm for Ophis-chan, meant for her first Cascade, meant to make the character an endlessly Essence battery. This is also a prerequisite for Triumphant Roar of the Cosmic Dragon

The Ouroboros Dragon is infinite in her scope. As Cecelyne can attest, trying to deplete that which has no end is an exercise in futility. This Charm permanently enhance the character's ability to restore his Essence, doubling the recovering rate of motes: he recover eight motes per hour when he is at ease and sixteen motes per hour when he is completely relaxed. In addition he can recover motes while he engages in strenuous activity as if he's at ease.

At Essence 4+, this Charm allows the character to recover motes previously spent. If at the end of the scene he is standing near (Essence x 10) yards from a place where he spent Essence, his Anima Banner briefly flashes black before he instantly recover half, rounded down, of the motes spent while standing on that place.

I think you forget two important things:

1) Devil-Tigers don't have fetich souls. That is a weakness that only the original primordials possess. We are immune to fetich death and cannot be warped into another being. I also remember hearing that we have the same protection against normal death; the yozis can't be killed except with spirit-eating charms or with fetich death, otherwise their Dying health box refuses to fill no matter what amount of damage you hit them with. The devil-tigers possess the same protection.

Strictly speaking this isn't true. Technically Devil-Tigers do have a Fetich, themselves. Also the unkillable bit is actually from (Yozi) Enternal Essence and the immunity to Shaping comes from (Yozi) Glory Incarnate which is behind (Yozi) Cosmic Principle and thus unlearnable by a Devil-Tiger. That said no-one besides a Primordial would want to learn (Yozi) Glory Incarnate since it sets all of your Attributes and Abilities to 0.

2) Creating a third-circle demon gives you an unbreakable intimacy towards that demon's motivation because they are a part of your soul structure and embody elements of yourself that you value most highly. We would not want Bright to be one of our souls unless she mellowed out enormously. Ddraig might not be a good idea either, since his motivation is likely to be something like "fight everything!"

Yeah if we have to fight the Qilloppth then we will need these powers(fucking Rivziem, Crom Caunch, Lilith, and if shit really goes down TriHexa), the potential issue of the Hindu Gods, and whatever shit Alex might thriw at us. It'll definitely be handy if(when) we find ourselves in Creation with The whole bring a Solar so basically everyone is going to want to kill us or manipulate us. Especially the other exalts.

Sadly all the charms I listed are the General Infernal/Yozi charms from that book. And due to the language used the only General Charms likely to change among the Yozi are the ones after Glory Incarnate.

Thats not to say that Devil-Tigers can't make there own versions of charms like the immortality ones, after all, the whole point of Devil-Tiger is remaking charms in your own image, including the high end ones.

Oh, if that's what your worried about it's not really a problem, the never need to eat, breathe, or sleep and the Unkillable save by GET are both before (Yozi) Cosmic Principle*, and thus learnable by any Infernal. It's only the Permanent anti-shaping charm that's out of reach, and considering Devil-Tigers have their own versions of a few charms hidden behind (Yozi) Cosmic Principle* it's not nessisarly out of reach.

As with a Raksha Stunt Pool, he may draw dice from this pool to supplement any action, including an action that would not normally qualify for a stunt (the Storyteller always has first preference for granting stunt dice to an action). No action may have more than three stunt dice applied to it in total, whether from the Storyteller, this Charm, or a combination of the two. This Stunt Pool automatically refreshes at the beginning of each scene. At Essence 5 the Stunt Pool is increased to the sum of all of the character's Virtues.

Considering raising Essence is basically attaining enlightenment, kinda doubt training from hell helps any there. That said we need ~6 more girls in our harem to fulfill our motivation and have the chance to raise Essence without any training time.

I don't think you understand my question. I get that it's based on MGQ, but that's not good enough for a celestial martial art. A video game is too... frivolous? of an idea to base a celestial style on. Maybe a terrestrial style.

Consider the existing CMAs; you have the native martial arts of each of the (non-Terrestrial) splats, which for other splats becomes an exercise in imitating those splats. You have the immaculate elemental styles which do the same for the five elements. You have the virtue styles and the animal styles. You have Black Claw, whose thesis is "love is a lie" and builds off of those themes, culminating in a charm that lets you literally rip out the hearts of people with intimacies of love for you, and Infernal Monster which emulates The Old Thing In The Cave. But this style just appears to be handing out powers based on stuff you did in the video game, which is kind of dumb and has no coherent theme tying them together.

Now, if it were me doing this? I'd base the style off of the idea of the harem protagonist. The thesis of this style is the opposite of Black Claw; love is beautiful and should be shared with as many people as possible, even if people don't always appreciate it.

The pre-form charms are all built around things that unsuccessful harem protagonists endure, as the stylist is still an apprentice in the ways of the style until they hit the form charm. These would be things like defensive charms and soak-boosters to let them endure the withering blows of angry tsunderes, or Issei's own experiences in being used as a punching bag by the girls he used to peep on, as an example.

The form charm offers some kind of attack bonus perhaps related to the character's Compassion score, but also has a secondary effect: any characters watching the fight who have a compatible sexual orientation treat the scene as one spent building a positive intimacy for the martial artist. This marks the point where the character begins to attract female (or male) attention, with the comical side-effect that targets of both genders can become attracted to the character regardless of the martial artist's own sexuality.

The post-form charms are all about being worthy of that attention, and key off of the martial artist's intimacies to allow her to perform enhanced Defend Other actions or perform combination attacks with the subjects of her intimacies. This marks the point that we have reached, the realm of the successful harem protagonist who is surrounded by girls and fights with them, for them, to defend them, etc.

You're welcome. If I may make a suggestion, take a look at how this style makes use of virtue channels. That one is emulating a super robot hero at least in part but there may be ideas in there that you can use; a style based on love should almost certainly use Compassion channels in many of its charms.

You know? I've been reading up on the different defenses in exalted and have come to an inescapable conclusion. Histories Strongest Disciple will open up a rather broken mechanic. The parry system that we will face when fighting the ragnarock first fist will be superior to our own since he is more then capable of using as many parries as necessary in his fight with us. While we on the other hand can only use one per turn. And yes, the first fist will be the one to show up since it is what happened in canon. At the very least it happened with Berserker before and we did nothing to cause a change to my knowledge.

Its definitely a charm like effect since it uses Ki I believe in the original technique but still, the ability to make parry as effective as dodge in dodge's specialty? Wow. 8) We are going to cause so many heart attacks when we get to creation~! Bright is going to throw a fit when she see's what the kid pulls to defend against us.
