Since Paul used gold kryptonite, Kara only had magic coins protecting her, and they don't protect clothing like her powers do. When Noriel used her flames, she was fine, but her clothes weren't.

They already have as much kryptonite as they want from Kara's asteroid. But they don't keep large amounts on Earth and the small amounts they have are in highly secure places.

Y'know, funnily enough I just happened to watch a video earlier that commented on that fact. Honestly, I was more surprised that Iron Man/Tony Stark was being/had been replaced since I barely bother with anything from Marvel's actual comics stuff.

I can think of 2 examples. Him laughing at Theo Adam bragging about fighting Wisconsin, and laughing after finding out that Hitler's clone is married to a black woman.
 
I'm honestly curious as to whether or not Paul will write in the report that Evil!Kara went so far as to put the magic coins inside of herself to keep them from being stolen. Can you imagine the reaction of anyone who reads that would have?
 
I wonder if Kara will talk to Zatanna about this. 'Teenage girls who went crazy because of a weird crystal combined with a serious crush on Paul, and attacked him' is a very small group (that hopefully will remain small), but a small support group is better than none.

If Paul had a nickel for every time that happened to him, he'd have no nickels, because modern coinage is functionally worthless compared to its face value and Orange Lantern abhors that.

But it'd still be odd it's happened twice.
 
Okay, so clearly I got lost somewhere along the way. If I'm understanding correctly now, the "native to universe 16" Kara, that Paul rescued from her escape pod, got exposed to a piece of black kryptonite from Nylor Trugg's stash. That made her lose all impulse control & "evil" as well as deciding she wanted some "vitamin D" from OL and she was gonna get it or people were gonna get hurt. As for where I got lost, for some reason I was thinking this was the silver age Supergirl rather Universe 16 Kara.

Still makes no sense. She had the coins for ages and had several significantly better opportunities to attack. She could confidently have expected to still have the coins for the foreseeable future, and presumably could have called in other league members for help with a pre-planned attack later.
Why she she pick now, when she is a vacuum cleaner and Orange Lantern had multiple allies to hand, to try and arrest him?

Dana isn't trained as a soldier or superhero. She has fought a few times, but she wins through brute strength. Her thoughs were that the SI and Noriel were beaten up, and that she could probably suck the ring off the SI's finger. Unfortunately, while she's heard of the H-Dial she wasn't all that familiar with how it worked.

He didn't. He sent her so that the other three would have someone around who could navigate the 21st century. The job was supposed to be 'stop the Persuader killed Superman', but then things got complicated and then they lost contact with the future.

What have they been doing then, both in the Paragon timeline and the Renegade timeline? Last I checked, Saturn Girl was a friend of Lynne's from the psychic school. What's the name of that place anyway, as I don't remember it?

I've been wanting to re-read the start of this story for a while. Since I've just caught up, now seemed like a good time.

I must say, Paul not noting the exact time at the beginning and instead just saying "morning" feels kinda strange.

Oh boy, I'm several weeks behind on all the stories I'm reading on QQ except for WTR now (I filled out a CYOA for like a week, please don't ask, and things just kept compounding from there), and since I'm too scared to catch up on everything at this point it looks like I'm only here for WTR until I can convince myself that getting caught up is a good idea.

In that vein, the recent chapters have been fun, so thanks for the excellent work as always Mr Zoat.

Someone please help me.

Yeah I wouldn't be too surprised of the H-Dial does have a detrimental effect to ones intellect.
I mean she's already time traveling with the Legion so it was always bound to go wrong but the dial just makes it worse.
