Shamans.

A medium between the Realm of the Living and the Realm of Spirits.

By connecting themselves to spirits such as learning the skills and techniques of a Spirit within them. Not only that they can also ask the Spirits for advice, heal the sick, and gather the ghosts of the dead.

Due to their ability to commune with Spirits, Shamans have been revered since ancient times.

However once every 500 years, a tournament to declare the Shaman King is held. The Shaman King, most powerful of all Shamans, is often a messianic figure who can commune with the entity that Christianity refers to as God, the Great Spirit.

The eve of the upcoming Shaman Fight is approaching. Strength, Will, Wisdom all of these and more are needed to become Shaman King.

Train hard, learn about the world around you, and finally push beyond the boundaries which bind you.

Xx.xX

You are Yoh Asakura, three years old, heir to the prestigious Asakura Shaman family, and about to start training in Shamanism.

You are…

Choose One:

[ ] Apathetic about this. You've been surrounded by Spirits since birth, your human 'friends' don't believe in Spirits and being a Shaman isn't considered 'cool'.
[ ] Excited. Being able to do all the things described by Grandma, Grandpa, and Mom sounds awesome!
[ ] a lazy ass. You just want to enjoy a laid back, easy life. No training, no work, just lazing on the floor listening to your favorite music.
[ ] Determined. You knew you had a twin brother despite your family's attempts to hide it. You'll become a great Shaman and Diviner so you can find your older brother and bring him home so you both can enjoy being family.
Despite your attitude towards becoming a full fledged Shaman you…

Choose one:

[ ] are a prodigy. Your skill with communing, controlling, and utilizing Spirits is greater than normal for your age. (Bonus to learning Shamanistic Skills)
[ ] are a spiritual monster. Your Furyoku levels are immense for one so young and with so little training. (+1000 base Furyoku)
[ ] are rather charismatic. Both Ghosts and Humans find what you say to be interesting. (Bonus to obtaining Guardian Spirits and Friends)
[ ] are able to read peoples hearts. Peoples hearts shows their true hearts. (Gain Reishi Trait)
Xx.xX

AN: Whelp this is the start of your guys' journey as Yoh Asakura. Sorry that it's so short.

Anyways, vote, comment on any errors and ways I can make this go smoothly.

Also have fun.

First Month
You are determined.

You had known you had an older twin brother, despite your family's attempts to hide this fact.

You will train to become a great shaman and diviner so you can find your brother and bring him home, so you both can enjoy family.

[Goal Obtained: Find and bring your brother, Hao Asakura, home]

Yet, you had to thank your ability to read the hearts of those around you for finding out about your brother. Without it you probably would have never known about your brother, so you'll treasure this ability even if it seems like a burden.

While this ability told you about your brother by reading the hearts or minds or your grandpa and mom, it also isolated you from kids your age. Your power telling you just what they were thinking which caused you to stay away from them.

[Trait Obtained. Reishi - Reading of the Heart: An ability to read the the hearts and minds of others around you. Cannot be turned off.]

[Status Obtained. Lonely: You are without friends, -10 to social interactions outside of family.]

However none of that was important at the moment. Right now you were about to start your training in Shamanism, specifically Onmyoudou training from your grandfather for the coming month.

Onmyoudou, an art that uses Shikigami, a type of nature spirit found in leaves and paper, and Goryushin for its various curses and effects. While these spirits are useful the true value of Onmyoudou, at least to you, was its specialty in divination. A skill that should help in finding your brother.

As the month passed you learned how to summon forth a Shikigami Leaf Sprite.

[Onymoudou: +5]

[Onmyoudou, an art in which one utilizes spirits of nature to do one's bidding. From things as simple as pouring tea, guarding a home from demons, to even divining the future. Onmyoudou is a shamanistic art used by Japanese Sorcerers. Figures such as Abe no Seimei and even the founder of the Asakura Clan were famous and skilled Onmyouji. Level 5: At this rank you can summon forth and command a single Leaf Sprite.]

[Technique Obtained. Onmyoudou-Shikigami Leaf Sprites: A type of Oversoul that uses leaves as a medium for low level nature spirits.]

How will you spend the rest of the year?

Choose three, training options may be voted for multiple times:

[ ] Continue Training in Onmyoudou. +5 Onmyoudou
[ ] Train in general Shaman techniques. +5 General Shamanism
[ ] Explore the Asakura mansion. 20% Chance of an Event.
[ ] Look at your Dad's room. ???
[ ] Research techniques to raise Furyoku. 20% Chance of Success.

Xx.xX

AN: Whelp Tried making this longer but not much to work on at the time. Yoh is only 3 and I didn't want to take away an entire year from you guys. So Yoh starts with 5 in Onmyoudou.

As always with me, tell me of any errors, ways to smooth things over, and have fun you guys.

Thieving, Thinking, and Training
'First things first,' You thought as you headed to Mikihisa Asakura's room, 'Search Father's Room.'

Reaching the room you opened the door at started to search it.

You ended up finding a pair of Orange Headphones and a cool series of albums made by this guy called 'Soul Bob'.

Since they are just gathering dust in Mikihisa's room, you decided to ferret the headphones and albums into your room where they'll see a lot of use for your enjoyment.

[Obtained 1 set of Orange Headphones and 3 Soul Bob Albums]

Xx.xX

After you stole-er borrowed your dads things, you proceeded to head to the clan library to attempt to find information on how to increase ones Furyoku levels.

Your brother apparently had monstrous amounts of Furyoku even as a child and your not even on a level equal to your parents, if you want any chance of finding your brother you will have to get stronger.

[Intelligence Check. 1d100+0. Roll: 69. Required: 80. Roll Failed.]

Throughout the year inbetween training sessions with your grandfather on basic Shamanistic techniques, you found mentions of Furyoku in various tomes your family keeps but you couldn't make heads or tails of the books.

However you do have an idea on where to look for your next search, after you learned some more.

[+5% Chance of Finding out how to increase Furyoku levels on subsequent attempts]

Xx.xX

After your first month of training you had asked Grandpa on teaching about general shamanism techniques as they could be considered the basics and thus were the best place to start in order to build a better foundation.

Your Grandpa looked thrilled at you apparently taking your lessons in Shamanism seriously, and his heart told you as much as well. While he hated your brother for some reason, he cared greatly for your development as a Shaman since to him you'll end up being the next head of the Asakura Clan.

[Learning: General Shamanism. 1d100+1. Rolled: 98+1 = 99. Great Success]

Your progress throughout the year was surprising to your grandfather as you doved into learning Shamanism with a gusto.

[General Shamanism Rank 5: You learned the basics of what it truly means to be a Shaman. The knowledge that it is up to people like you to help ease the souls of Spirits and help the dead pass on to the next life. Bonus to interacting with ghosts.]

[General Shamanism Rank 10: You continued lessons have led you to learning one of the basic techniques Spirit Unity. A technique in which a Shaman willingly gives a Spirit access to his or her own body, and through co-operation achieve an end result. You learned Spirit Unity.]

[General Shamanism Rank 15: You continued to refine your ability to use Spirit Unity through the use of some human spirits that lived in some 'nearby' graveyards. You ability to communicate with ghosts has increased. You will now have an easier time achieving 100% Unity with Spirit Unity.]

[General Shamanism Rank 20: You progressed enough in your lessons that your grandfather has decided to teach you about the actual creation of an Oversoul. Which is what you do when you create your shikigami Leaf Sprites. You learned how to create Oversouls. The full potential of this technique cannot be realized without a Spirit Partner.]

Xx.xX

The year has come and gone, and now its your birthday. You are now 4 years old.

1d6=1. + 1 Strength.
1d6=4. +4 Dexterity.
1d6=3. +3 Endurance.
1d6=4. +4 Intelligence.
1d6=6. +6 Wisdom.

Thanks to your training both your body and your mind became stronger throughout the passing year.

Not only are you stronger but you also got presents!

First from Grandpa;

[1d100=60]

You got a Calligraphy Set. It's supposed to help you later on when you advance down the path of Onmyoudou, should you wish, in the creation of Ofuda, paper talisman that could be used to create Oversouls using 'Oni' and bound 'Demons'.

From your Grandmother you got;

[1d100=23]

A bag of cookies. Unfortunately she was busy on Mt. Osore training her new apprentice and didn't really have time to get to know him, though she did hope he'd visit her so that could be amended.

From your Mom you got;

[1d100=38]

Some fashionable new clothes. She unfortunately was pretty busy and thus couldn't do shopping for a better gift. At least it was the thought that counted right?

From the family deadbeat aka your dad you got;

[1d100=63]

A Shugenja mask. He probably means to train you in the arts of the Shugenja if you wished too when you are older.

Smiling warmly at the presents, even the one from the deadbeat, you went to bed happy that night...after coming down from a cake and cookie induced sugar-high of course!

Xx.xX

[1d100=93]

When you woke up from your sleep you found an unopened present next to your futon.

Looking over the box you find the words 'To: Yoh, From: Hao.' Written on it.

Shocked you open the present up revealing the contents, inside you see an ornate mirror.

Suiten.png

You smile sadly before resolving to get your brother a present for next year. If he can leave you a present in your room then you can give him one when he drops off your own.

Resolution made, what do you decide to do this year?

Choose up to three options, training may be taken repeatedly:

[ ] Train in Onmyoudou.
[ ] Train in general Shaman techniques.
[ ] Explore the Asakura mansion. 20% Chance of an Event.
[ ] Research techniques to raise Furyoku. 25% Chance of Success.
[ ] Look into the mirror your brother sent you. 20% Chance of event.

Xx.xX

AN: As you guys can guess I decided to change how the training works. You get plus 5 to your trained stat for every 20 passed on the roll, so since I rolled you guys a 99 you got 20 to General Shamanism. If I had gotten a 100 I'd have rolled a second die and used the total divided by 20 to determine the number of rank ups.

Hope you guys enjoyed the birthday presents Yoh got. Also hope you liked grabbing Yoh's headset and Soul Bob addiction :p

As always with me, tell me of any errors and ways to smooth things along.

Have fun and don't forget to vote.

Training, Thinking, and a Shiny
You continued to train in General techniques however your progress was slowed due to the lack of a personal Spirit Partner.

Because of this you could only train in Spirit Unity, as without a Spirit Partner you could not go deeper into the uses of Oversouls.

[1d100+5= 49. +10 Ranks.]

[General Shamanism Rank 25: With your skill in Spirit Unity you can now begin to learn the physical techniques and skills of Spirits that you have possess you. Greater Chance of Achieving 100% Spirit Unity, Ability to learn physical talents of Ghosts.]

[General Shamanism Rank 30: You possess greater skill in joining your movements and thoughts with Spirits Possessing you bringing you closer to learning the physical skills of Spirits and achieving 100% Spirit Unity. Greater Chance of Achieving 100% Spirit Unity, Greater chance to learn physical skills from Spirits]

While you couldn't learn advance Oversoul techniques due to the lack of a Spirit Partner, you do feel that you're closer to mastering Spirit Unity.

Xx.xX

In between training sessions you looked more into how to raise your Furyoku levels.

[1d100=61. Roll Needed: 75. Fail]

Unfortunately you have been able to find a definite way to raise furyoku, the only thing you found this time around was mentions of 'Death' in conjunction to Furyoku, which you don't understand.

However you feel as if you're getting closer to finding the answers you seek. Not only that but Grandpa found out your looking to raise your Furyoku levels and offered to help you with your research, though you felt that he preferred that the knowledge of raising your Furyoku levels be a secret for a few more years.

[+10% to Furyoku Research next year. +5 to next Furyoku Roll for 1 turn.]

Xx.xX

You also started looking into the mirror your brother sent you, in between your training sessions and research into Furyoku.

You first looked in the family library for information about unique mirrors.

[1d100=75. Needed Roll: 80. Fail]

While you have found information about unique mirrors you couldn't tell if they were talking about your mirror or something else, the possibility that your mirror could be a copy of something never crossed your mind.

[+15% to next Mirror Check]

Xx.xX

Another year has passed and once more it's your birthday. Making you five years old now.

1d6=4. +4 Strength
1d6=3. +3 Dexterity
1d6=6. +6 Endurance
1d6=3. +3 Intelligence
1d6=5. +5 Wisdom.

You felt as if this years training was even more fruitful.

[Yohmei's Present: 1d100=79]

To your surprise Grandpa got a glass pendulum and a book on western dowsing. This caused you to give your grandfather a great big glomb from joy.

[Can now train in Dowsing]

[Kino's Present: 1d100=100 Critical! 1d100: 94.]

You were gaping at what your grandmother had sent you. Inside the box she sent was a book on Beginner Itoko techniques, however that wasn't all she had also included a book on how to raise one's Furyoku level and a 108 Bead Rosary made from the bones of demon your grandmother had to deal with recently.

You promised yourself to not just glomp your grandmother but you'd GLOMP her, this was the best present from her ever!

[Can now Train in Itoko Shamanism. Can now Train Furyoku. Now have a 108 Spirit Bead Rosary.]

[Keiko's Present: 1d100=90]

This year your mother got you a set of Kannushi robes and the promise to train him in their ways.

Not only that she also got you books on the various treasures of Japan, most noticeably the Imperial Regalia of Japan which depicts the image of your mirror!

Hao's present was actually the Yata no Kagami! This fact shocks you to your core.

[Can now train in Kannushi Shamanism. Gained Kannushi Robes. Gained Book of Japan's Imperial Regalia. Strange Ornate Mirror identified as the Yata no Kagami: The Eight Folded Blessings of Amaterasu, +30% success rate on Checking Mirror.]

[Mikihisa's Present: 1d100=44]

Your old man however sent you the newest Soul Bob album. How he knew you became addicted to the music is beyond you, since he never came home.

While you liked it, it was kind of underwhelming compared to your other gifts.

Before you went to bed you left out a badly drawn picture of you and Hao together at the mansion, for your brother.

Xx.xX

[Hao Present: 1d100=36]

When you woke up you found a book on how to draw better and a teasing letter saying that your art skills need work.

[Can Train in Art]

Twitching a bit you hide the letter and thought about what you'd want to do this year.

Choose Three actions, training can be selecting multiple times:

[ ] Train in General Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Onmyoudou.
[ ] Train in Itoko Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Kannushi Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Dowsing.
[ ] Train Furyoku Levels.
[ ] Train Art.
[ ] Check out the Yata no Kagami. Success Chance: 65%.
[ ] Explore the Asakura Mansion. Success Chance: 20%.

Xx.xX

AN: Dear lord, those birthday rolls. Seems the Dice really loved you guys.

Now since you guys can now train an Invention/Creation skill, you should know this; Imagination is raised by 5 for every 10 points in an Invention/Creation skill. Imagination is needed to make more complex Oversouls.

As always give me some constructive criticism, tell me of any errors, and make sure you guys enjoy yourselves.

Torture for a Five Year Old...Ouch?
Thanks to your Grandmother, you managed to find out how to increase your Furyoku levels.

The most common method of increasing Furyoku was through death, or coming close to death's door. The closer you are to dying for long amounts of time the more your Furyoku increases.

Thus you had begged and pleaded with your Grandfather and mother to provide you with an adequate training tool, specifically a European Iron Maiden, a torture device that can keep one at the edge of life and death for long periods of time.

You first time inside the device had you screaming in agony, and your family took you out of it soon enough, yet you were stubborn.

You knew they were worried but you needed to do this.

You went back in as soon as you could, determined to ignore the pain.

[1d100+5: 87. Trait Obtained!]

[Feel no Pain: Through great torture you have obtained the ability to shut off your pain receptors at will, allowing you to continue fighting no matter how agonizing a wound would be.]

You eventually managed to stop feeling any pain from the Iron Maiden you shut yourself in.

[1d12: 6]

You stayed within the Iron Maiden for practically six months, as the days passed you could swear you felt your Furyoku.

[1d100+3: 85. 16*85*6]

[+8160 Furyoku]

The results of the training in the Iron Maiden were amazing, your mother and grandfather were amazed at the sheer level of growth you had gone through. Especially as you read that they both felt you were stronger than both of them combined. This gave you a healthy ego boost.

[1d100: 56. +1 Wisdom]

Xx.xX

Your mother and grandfather were quick to use Shamanistic healing to undo the damage to your body.

While you recovered you checked out the Yata no Kagami, feeling as if it had one last secret within itself.

[1d100+5: 28. Needed 35. Fail]

Unfortunately once more you failed to discern the secrets of the Yata no Kagami. Despite that you are once more closer to finding the secrets the mirror hides away from you.

[+5% Success Chance on checking the Yata no Kagami]

Xx.xX

Once you were fully recovered with nary a scar on your body you immediately start training in Onymoudou.

While you could train more in General techniques, you would be impeded by your lack of a Spirit Partner.

[1d100+3: 96]

Once again you surprised your Grandfather with how well you progressed in your lessons.

[Onmyoudou Rank 10: Your control of Shikigami has increased to the point where you can now control a small swarm of them. You can now command 30 Shikigami]

[Onmyoudou Rank 15: As you train in control you begin to learn basic Divination Techniques from your Grandfather, of course right now your predictions suck. You have learned the fine art of Divining, low chance of predicting the outcome of an event]

[Onmyoudou Rank 20: Your command over Leaf Sprites has once more grown, now you can manipulate a small horde with finesse. Can now command 100 Shikigami at once for a variety of things]

[Onmyoudou Rank 25: Your predictions have become more accurate as your skill at reading the messages the Shikigami give you increases. You can predict future events with greater ease]

Xx.xX

Another year has passed and you are now six years old!

1d6=1. +1 Strength
1d6=6. +6 Dexterity
1d6=5. +5 Endurance
1d6=1. +1 Intelligence
1d6=1. +1 Wisdom

Your body was definitely tougher than it was the year before, you blame it on the torture you went through in order to train your Furyoku, though your skin is strangely free of any rough marks. This you blame your mother for.

[Yohmei's Present: 1d100=84]

Your grandfather seeing your interests in Divination, got you a book on Tarot Reading and a deck of Tarot Cards.

You can feel his pride that you were apparently willing to continue the Asakura patriarch tradition of being Diviners for the rich and noble.

[Can now Train in Tarot Reading.]

[Kino's Present: 1d100=31]

Unfortunately your grandmother was indisposed due to a sudden Oni attack, however she did manage to send you some home baked cookies, which you promptly devour.

[Keiko's Present: 1d100=33]

Your mother was also indisposed mainly due to a large influx of visitors to the shrine she attends to as part of her Miko duties. She did however manage to send you some new clothes, which you enjoyed.

[Mikihisa's Present: 1d100=35]

Your father apparently thought you'd like manga, though how he managed to buy some while climbing the Himalayas you have no idea.

Though you did get a letter saying that he'd be coming home for a while to train you in Asceticism.

[Can now Train in Asceticism]

Before you went to bed this time you laid out a letter journal about your year for your brother.

Xx.xX

[Hao: 1d100=12]

When you woke up you saw your letter journal still there, you felt sad however your brother was probably too far away at the moment to have come home.

Choose Three actions, training can be selecting multiple times:

[ ] Train in General Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Onmyoudou.
[ ] Train in Itoko Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Kannushi Shamanism.
[ ] Train in Asceticism
[ ] Train in Dowsing.
[ ] Train in Tarot Reading.
[ ] Train Furyoku Levels.
[ ] Train Art.
[ ] Check out the Yata no Kagami. Success Chance: 70%.
[ ] Explore the Asakura Mansion. Success Chance: 20%.

Xx.xX

AN: Whelp at least no whammies right guys? Guys?

No matter, tell me about any errors and places that need smoothing.

Also make sure to enjoy your selves.

Mountain...Falling
Once again you look over the Yata no Kagami seeking to find the final secret it hides.

You could sense the spirit inside and using your Furyoku you nudge it from inside the Mirror. As you nudge the spirit awake the Yata no Kagami begins to vibrate as the spirit inside is roused.

Soon the vibrations became too much causing you to drop the mirror which landed on its back as the spirit inside came blasting out forcing you to fall on your ass from shock.

As the spirit was released from the mirror you start to see its form.

a01134011075c89225f2dab47e5b6e4f.jpg

The spirit before you was in Seiza position with her head bowed forward enough to hide her face from you. Though her pink hair and fox ears and tails, alongside the shear amount of Reiryoku rolling off of her form catch your attention.

As you look at the fox(?) spirit before you, your thoughts are interrupted as she speaks, "Hello Goshujin-sama. This Misukune, humbly accepts your proposal, please regard me gently."

As she speaks you cannot help but be captivated by how beautiful her voice was, once she was done talking she bowed deeply towards you, causing you to blush at how respectful she was being to you.

However the meaning of the spirit's words flew over your head as not only were you distracted by her voice, but also by a specific part of her.

So distracting was it the first words out of your mouth when you spoke to her was, "Can I touch your tails?" And no you did not sound like a begging puppy you had more pride than that despite what any else would say!

As she got up from her bow, she simply giggled as she nodded in ascent bringing her tails to you. You were soon rubbing against the soft, furry limbs with a wild abandon.

You could tell this was the start of a beautiful partnership.

[Guardian Spirit/Wife(?): Misukune(?) obtained!]

Xx.xX

Once more you place yourself into the tortuous hands of the Iron Maiden for six months.

[1d100+13: 73. 18*73*6]

[+7884 Furyoku]

Once more you could feel your Furyoku grow, however despite the growth you could feel that your Furyoku levels were no where near the level of Misukune's Reiryoku. Thus served to give you a piece of humble pie and reaffirm your desire to get stronger in order to find and convince you brother to come back home.

[1d100: 96. +1 Wisdom. +1 Endurance]

Xx.xX

[1d100+23: 25]

You had looked forward to your Ascetic training, it would've been a nice time to train your body and get to know your deadbeat of a father.

However the man seemed to have forgotten that you were a complete novice in mountain climbing and took you on an extremely dangerous climb, a climb which you fell from a quarter of the way up, and the idiot didn't even notice!

The moment you can Oversoul with Misukune properly you were gonna blast the idiot to pieces. You ended up spending the rest of your year in the hospital because the idiot hadn't checked up on you.

[Reduced Relations with Mikihisa Asakura]

[Ascetic Training Rank 5: Ascetics climb treacherous terrains in order to train their bodies as they attempt to gain enlightenment and spiritual growth. You have started on the path of learning to reach enlightenment through strengthening your body. You suffer reduced penalties when moving through treacherous terrain]

[1d100: 68. +1 Strength]

Xx.xX

Finally the year is over and you are now seven years old.

1d6=1. +1 Strength
1d6=3. +3 Dexterity.
1d6=5. +5 Endurance.
1d6=3. +3 Intelligence.
1d6=3. +3 Wisdom.

You could again feel the results of your training from throughout the year...though you still feel like blasting your father through the manor the moment he shows his face in front of you.

However this wasn't the time for that. It was the time for presents!

[Yohmei's Present: 1d100=66]

Grandfather had heard of your accident from your Ascetic training and ended up getting you a book on Spiritual Healing. You thank him as this way you could probably heal yourself much quicker than being forced to stay in a foreign hospital after smashing your bones from a fall.

[+5 to one General Shamanism Training]

[Kino's Present: 1d100=57]

Your grandmother apparently was put off from your father's stupidity and sent you a book on Pressure Points.

You really like some of the idea's the book gives you, especially if you could give your father temporary incontinence with just a poke.

[Can Train in Martial Art: Pressure Points]

[Keiko's Present: 1d100=29]

Unfortunately your mom couldn't be here for your birthday as she was too busy yelling at your deadbeat father for his stupidity.

[Mikihisa's Present: 1d100=95]

Your father was apparently really sorry, or your mother was really just that scary, as he ended up sending you one-third of the Sessho-seki stone left behind by the Kyuubi-no-Kitsune: Tamamo-no-Mae.

Of course you're still going to punish the jerk, no pretty rock was going to keep you from your payback after all.

[Gained ⅓ of Tamamo-no-Mae's Sessho-seki]

You leave out your letter journals of this year and the previous for your brother to read should he come over this year.

Xx.xX

[Hao's Present: 1d100=68]

When you woke up you saw the journals gone this time with a book on advance Onmyoudou techniques in it, in their place.

Smiling you say a small thank you to your brother.

[+5 to one Onmyoudou training session]

Mad Skillz
You once more started working to increase your Furyoku for another six months.

[1d100+4: 94. 6*94*(22)(2)]

[+24816 Furyoku]

You were starting to become a true Furyoku monster. While your Furyoku could not match Misukune's Reiryoku, you were getting closer to that by the day.

[1d100: 92. +1 Wisdom. +1 Endurance.]

Xx.xX

You decided to try and continue your training in General Shamanism, especially since you now have your own Guardian Spirit in the form of Misukune.

[1d100+5: 103, Critical!. 101, Double Critical!. 16.]

[+55 Ranks in General Shamanism]

Your progress in General Shamanism was simply astounding you Grandfather was really close to proclaiming you a prodigy but managed to hold himself back.

[General Shamanism Rank 35: Your skill with Spirits has once more grown. With a Guardian Spirit by your side you were able to make an actual Oversoul. Again you make sure to spend time communing with Misukune, you can tell she enjoys your talks with her but you can still feel as if she is keeping a large secret from you.

The feeling originally came from when she introduced herself, but despite your ability to read the hearts of others you could not find out what it was, Misukune was somehow able to hide whatever it was from your Reishi.

The feeling had bubbled again when she saw the Sessho-seki that you got. What could this mean? Does Misukune have some connection with Tamamo-no-Mae, the Nine-Tailed Fox who was amongst Japan's Three Greatest Demons.

And so you ask her. Point blank you ask her, "Misukune, do you have some relation with Tamamo-no-Mae?"

You blunt questioning shocks her and she looks to the side as if she were too ashamed to say anything, eventually she replies, "Yes, Goshujin-sama. Since you have been so kind to me then I shall no longer hide the truth from you. This Misukune is actually the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, Tamamo-no-Mae."

As she confesses her true name she tenses with her eyes closed and her head still to the side, as if waiting for you to scream in terror.

Instead you acted your age and glomped her while saying, "Cool!"

This caused Tamamo's eyes to snap open and her head to you, shock written on her face before it is overcome with relief.

Despite her being one of Japan's greatest monsters you accepted her, in your own childish way.

[You have learned of Misukune's true nature. She is an Aspect of Amaterasu, Tamamo-no-Mae, The Nine-Tailed Fox Demoness!]

The first thing you practice on this year Bajiquan. It looked interesting and your grandmother was right, a Shaman especially a Diviner needed to know how to defend themselves from mundanes as they can't always use an Oversoul or rely on Spirit Unity.

[Bajiquan Roll: 1d100+10=37]

Unfortunately you had problems learning the basics, as you were learning from a book and had no background in martial arts.

[Bajiquan Rank 5: Though your movements are clumsy you managed to refine your movements enough that you can through a decent punch. You can now punch and kick properly without hurting yourself]

Xx.xX

Next you decided to try working on your artistic talents, after all your brother was kind enough to provide you a book on Art, even if it was meant to tease you about your horrendous skill in the subject.

[Art Roll: 1d100+9=91]

Fortunately for you, your efforts in drawing were met with much more success than your attempts at martial art's.

[Art Rank 5: You have practiced continually for many hours in the skill of drawing. After sacrificing so much you finally master it. You can now draw straight lines]

[Art Rank 10: After mastering the art of drawing straight lines you turn to your next nemesis, the circle. A devious thing that stumps many aspiring artist. However you have manage to perfect it. You can draw decent circles now

[Bonus! Imagination Rank 5 Achieved!]

[Art Rank 15: With the basics out of the way you work on speed for now, after all it wouldn't matter how skilled you are if it took you five years to get one part of a picture done. Speed for drawings increased.]

[Art Rank 20: You continue to work on how fast you draw your lines, shapes, and circles. Speed for Drawings increased.]

[Bonus! Imagination Rank 10 Achieved!]

Xx.xX

After working on some of your non-Shamanic skills you decided to continue to train in raising your furyoku.

[Furyoku Rolls: 1d12=8, 1d100+10=89.]

[+44144 Furyoku]

Once again you couldn't help but notice how your Furyoku grew closer to Tamamo-no-Mae's Reiryoku, not only that but you felt the tingling again, it felt...good?

You're confused why was your body telling you that being impaled by spikes felt good, when during your first time in the Iron Maiden the spikes caused you unimaginable pain.

[1d100=58]

[+1 Wisdom]

Finally after spending eight months in your Iron Maiden you prepare to go on another Ascetic Training Trip with your father, this time you're attempting to climb Mt. Everest.

[Ascetic Roll: 1d100+24=112. Critical! 1d100+24=87]

It was a long and tough journey but you and your dad were nearing your goal of Mt. Everest's peak. It was only a few hours away, and it was time for your revenge.

While your dad was catching his breath in the thin air at your current altitude you pull out the Yata no Kagami and swing it at your father's chest from behind with all your might, performing you basic oversoul with Tamamo right at the last second.

The attack hit your father and sent him flying off the mountain. That'll teach the deadbeat to leave you broken at the bottom of a mountain.

Nodding to yourself about a job well done, you continue to climb and eventually reach Mt. Everest's peak. As you try to catch your breath from the journey you sit down in formal position and meditate.

[1d100=87]

[+1 Endurance, +1 Wisdom]

The trials and tribulations you faced climbing Mount Everest, and the deepness of your meditation you feel yourself gaining new insight on yourself and your limits, as well as how to surpass them.

As you climbed back down the mountain you had no problem navigating the treacherous paths and cliffs.

[Ascetic Rank 5 -> 100]

[You can move easily through treacherous areas as if it were flat land. Greater Commune with Nature achieved. You can now subjugate/utilize 'God' type Spirits with greater ease.]

[Ascetism Rank 50 Achieved! New Trait Unlocked! The Journey of Heaven and Earth: When training Furyoku Endurance also gives a bonus modifier to rolls and results.]

[Ascetism Rank 100 Achieved! New Trait Unlocked! Noble Mountain, Treacherous Emperor: Through your efforts you can now command the Dai-Tengu Emperor Sutoku, another of Japan's San-Dai-Youkai!]

[Can Freely go Mountain Climbing]

The year comes to a close as you go from age nine to ten.

1d6=6. +6 Strength.
1d6=5. +5 Dexterity
1d6=6. +6 Endurance.
1d6=5. +5 Intelligence.
1d6=3. +3 Wisdom.

The climb of Mount Everest had definitely had its run on your physique this time around as your ten year old body now sported a 6 pack of abs and your muscles we becoming quite defined.

However this year instead of the usual buzz of presents your grandfather told you that he felt it was time for you to go meet your fiance, who was none other than your Grandmother's apprentice.

He then introduces you to a Split Tailed Cat spirit named Matamune. When you see him you can help but hear how his heart sees how similar you look to his master, Hao, before he went insane.

You were shocked here was someone who could tell you about who your brother truly was. You eargerly agree to go meet your fiance and to Matamune's escort. Of course Tamamo-no-Mae had said that she was coming as well as she had wanted to inspect the woman who would end up marrying her master.

Neither your grandfather, Matamune, or you bothered to try and stop her after all you didn't need your Reishi to tell you that Tamamo was feeling like her territory was being threatened.

Soon you are on the train to Mount Osore with Matamune and Tamamo.

You have so many questions for Matamune, where do you start?

You decided on how you were going to start your questioning of Matamune.

"Ah, Matamune-san, was it?" you start continuing at the split-tailed cat's acknowledging nod, "Sorry if I cause you some trouble, but I would like to ask you some questions."

"Go ahead, Young Master Yoh." replies Matamune the cat spirit smiling amicably at you.

You smile back at the cat spirit and say, "Well before the actual questions, you must first know something that even my parents don't know: I have the Reishi, the ability to read the hearts of others: I had read about it some time ago in a book." Your confession shocks both Matamune and Tamamo, though both quickly got over it even though they both hold worry for you in their hearts, "Because of it, I couldn't help but see that you think I share a resemblance to my ancestor, Hao Asakura, and well I would like to ask you if you can tell me something about him, like how he was, when you meet him, what he was famous for, etc. that kind of things. I would also like to know why he became insane, according to your feelings, since I'm sure my family isn't eager to answer my questions. Also Tamamo, I wish to apologize for keeping this from you, but I wasn't ready at the time: I just told Matamune-san now because I want to know the answers to these things."

"Do not worry, Goshujin-sama. This Tamamo-no-Mae will always forgive you." Tamamo quickly gushes out before snuggling against you as Matamune composes himself to reply.

"Well, Young Master it seems you are quite inquisitive. Very well I'll answer your questions to the best of my abilities." Matamune says with a small smile before moving on to answer your questions, "My first master, Lord Hao who made the Asakura the clan of Shamans and Diviners they are today. I first met Lord Hao when I was but a starving kitten, out of the kindness of his heart. Those days were the best of my life, unfortunately like you Lord Hao possessed the Reishi. Because of the era he was in his Reishi showed him the absolutely worst of humanity, slowly eating away at his mind and will, driving him insane to the point he wished to destroy all humans."

You could feel the nostalgia and sorrow coming from Matamune even without your Reishi as you started to speak once more, "Thus Young Master I must warn you, be careful to how much you pay attention to what your Reishi tells you, it turned my precious master, Lord Hao, who was one of the kindest souls you'd ever meet, into a twisted monster of his former self. I do not wish to see another fall to the same fate."

You nod at Matamune's words, if your brother the supposed reincarnation of your honored ancestor, was still haunted by the whisper's of humanities darkness constantly bombarding his mind, then you'll just work hard and try and cure him of the mental scars instilled onto him.

[End Goal, Changes: You now wish to help cure the insanity that plagues your kind brothers mind. In addition to bringing him home.]

Silence descended as the train ride continues, with Matamune occasional humming notes to a song only he knew while reading.

You eventually fall asleep on the ride to Mt. Osore. When you awaken you were almost at your first stop at Aomori, where you would head off to the lands nearby Mt. Osore. You were close to oversleeping due to how late you were up on the train trip.

The cold was nothing compared to the trials you went through during your climb of Mt. Everest.

Though you're curious on how the spirits around Mt. Osore as Mt. Osore was a Soul Garden of solitude and sorrow.

You wander the nearby city taking a moment to fill your empty stomach. Though you were disgusted at the thoughts of the majority of humans around you.

Once you were done eating Matamune left in advance to inform your grandmother. After paying for your meal, you move to leave when you come across her.

A young blonde girl around your age named Kyoyama Anna, you both widen your eyes as you both end up finding out that you both bare the same 'Blessing/Curse' Reishi.

Looking at her, you can't help but find her cute, which caused her to blush and glare at you.

What do you do?

[Interaction Roll: 1d100+5(Bonus from Noble etiquitte)-10(Lonliness)=81]

Smiling you give a bow and say, "Hello. Even though you probably know it already my name is Asakura Yoh. Please treat me kindly."

"...Kyoyama Anna." Anna replies still blushing from your thought of her being cute, "So you're the one who is to be my future husband."

Blinking you smile, you family picked a good one, not only did she have a fire about herself, but she could back it up and can understand what you're going through. You proceed to vocalize your words even if it was useless in the face of Reishi.

Your thoughts had caused Anna to not just blush but also glare harder at you, as she is not used to feeling embarrassed.

Having enough of feeling embarrassed Anna pushes pass you and says, "Go and die!" Her steps having an above average rhythm to them showing how much she wanted to get away from the source of her current blushing.

You could feel her desire to be alone for now so you don't follow behind.

You decided to take a bit of a walk heading to the nearby beach, smiling as you think about Anna. A flush adorning your cheeks as you do.

You hope that you and Anna will get along in the future, you honestly never thought about your so called 'dream girl' but you think Anna might meet most if not all of them.

As you pass by the stairs down to the beach you felt it, a spirit that is ruled by negative emotions, an Oni.

Turning to face it as it climbed up the stairs you hear its rasping voice say, "Go to HELL!!!!!"

With this the Oni jumps up and lunges at you. How will you react?

Au Revoir Mount Osore Part 3
When the Oni lunges at you you simply look at it before swiftly drawing the Yata-no-Kagami, your primary medium for Tamamo as you create the rudimentary oversoul you developed for the first time.

You then smash the Oversoul into the Oni immediately pulping the ogre's body in as it was cleaved by the ridiculously powerful, in comparison, oversoul before its body simply dissolved.

Undoing the oversoul you turn to the arrival of Matamune who feels relieved that you're alright even as his face doesn't betray any emotions...though as he's a cat you honestly have trouble telling what he's thinking if you relied on facial features.

"Young Master, I noticed that you still weren't home so I decided to search for you. Seems like I didn't have to worry, you truly are a prodigy of the Asakura clan." Matamune honestly praises you causing you to smile.

"Then let's head home and check on Grandma Kino, hopefully Anna will be there already." you reply and follow Matamune as he leads you to your grandmother's inn.

You could feel that Matamune was pleased that you already knew the name of your fiance, but wasn't surprised considering your ability.

When you reached your grandmother's inn you announce your entrance as you put up your shoes before heading to the sitting room.

Unfortunately it seems like Anna will be coming in after you.

Anna ended up returning to the inn as you were talking with your grandmother. When she came to the sitting room to drop off the stuff she bought for your grandmother you smile and wave at her face exposed through the cracked open sliding door.

She blushed before dropping the shopping bag and slamming the door closed.

"My, my, Yoh. You must have made quite the impression on Anna for her to blush at seeing you." your grandmother comments joyfully.

"Haha, thanks grandma." you laugh, you are eager to know more about Anna, she must be an amazing young woman to catch your grandmother's eye.

"JUST GO DIE!" The yell of an embarrassed Anna rings throughout the inn causing you to laugh even more, along with getting chuckles from your grandmother and Matamune as they could guess that you were the source of embarrassment.

Later on you were sitting in the indoor hot spring bath, enjoying the soak along with Matamune talking.

Eventually your talk went in the direction of the Oni, causing you to ask if Anna's own power created it.

"Indeed." Matamune replies, "Anna is rather powerful so much that she naturally attracts negative emotions to her and gives them form as Oni, her own resentment further granting strength to these demons."

You nod and say, "The feelings of Hatred which made the Oni I destroyed were rather new so it was probably a side effect of Anna's power mixed with her Reishi. She probably can't stop them from forming as they simply appear naturally around her due to her great power don't they."

"Indeed Young Master." Matamune answers, "Anna wasn't as lucky as you, while she's a prodigy similar to you, in her own way, her power takes advantage of her resentment right now. Becoming an endlessly binding curse of Hatred which threatens to engulf her."

Soon you get out of the bath, drying off before heading to your room to sleep.

The next day you were out looking for souvenirs for Grandpa, Mom, your dad's apprentice (You felt sorry for the girl), and her spirit partners Ponchi and Konchi.

Anna ended up walking in as you thought of the latter two and how annoying they could be with their perverted antics.

She ended up commented about what she'd like to do if she got her hands on the two of them, which you saw involved primarily of maiming them. Disregarding her thoughts on maiming spirits you look at Anna and smile at her again.

You received no warning as Anna blushed one second only to slap you across the souvenir store the next yelling, "Just, just stay away from me!" Before turning and leaving the store.

Before she left you could honestly feel worry for you emanating from her, she cares for you on some level, most likely enough that she'd try and sacrifice her own happiness in order to protect you.

As you rub your slapped cheek you can't help but comment, "Tamamo, I think I'm falling in love."

"Seriously, Goshujin-sama? What about her is a redeeming quality she is quite rude to you and she even hit you." Tamamo replies mad that Anna hurt you.

In turn you smile and say, "She's just a firecracker. Besides you can just tell that she is someone who would never let another trample all over her, I'm sure you would agree with that."

At your words Tamamo reluctantly nodded, Anna did have a cold yet fiery personality and was highly independent.

"Besides, she wishes to drive me away to protect not just herself but me as well. She obviously doesn't want her powers to kill me." you continue, causing Tamamo to blink before sighing exasperatedly knowing full well that she'd do anything to protect her loved one, and thus could not fault the girl.

You quickly get up and walk out of the souvenir shop after Anna, after all you're not going to give up on her, she deserves to be happy and you'll give her that happiness after all.

Yet as you exit the store you see a giant Oni standing before you. Anna was giving off a feeling of fear, not for herself but for you.

What do you do?

[ ] Pulp the demon like the last one
[ ] Subjugate it
[ ] Do nothing

Just as the Greater Oni before you raises its clawed arm to attempt to cleave you in twain, you pull out the Yata-no-Kagami, once more about to use the divine instrument to calmly smash the demon before you to pieces.

Your Reishi was going wild around this one, whereas yesterday's Oni was just a lump of negative emotions given solid presence, like an oversoul. This one was had an elementary intelligence.

It wanted Anna to suffer, it wanted her alone, and if anyone got close to her than it would kill them.

The only reason Grandma Kino was never attacked by this one was that she was always behind the inn's protections, the few Oni that managed to get in had all been extremely weakened.

This one was no fool, because of this and its intentions to Anna you were going to kill it.

With great ease you Oversoul with Tamamo, cleaving the Oni's arm down the middle with ease.

Fear. The moment you felt that from the Oni you knew it was too late as it dispersed its form into the collective of spirit orbs that made it up and fled. Next time you'd have to make sure it wouldn't have the chance to flee.

Turning to Anna you can feel her shock, awe, and joy. Standing before her, was someone who wasn't scared of her, who was like her, who wished to be with her and protect her from her tormentors and possessed the power to deal with them.

You walk towards her as tears of joy form in her eyes. The tears flow down her face freely as you hug her, tears running down your face as well as you let yourself be swept in with her emotions, smiling.

This girl, who suffered greatly at the hands of her own powers, was a kindred spirit to you, and you would be damned before you let someone hurt her again like that Oni did for she is someone you could freely love with all your heart.

Xx.xX

That evening you and Anna sat together in the inn's sitting room watching TV.

The both of you leaning on each other, even as your grandma and Matamune came in for a moment before heading to the baths.

As Soul Bob, and Anna's favorite singer Amayaringo, took their turns singing at the new year's music festival.

You could understand why Anna likes Amayaringo, they both put on facade's in order to protect themselves and others.

Anna doesn't bother trying to convince you to leave, she already knows you won't. Not only that she knows that you think she's cute and that you believed she was was a great person. Though this earned you a slap, you just laugh off the stinging sensation, for some reason your training in ignoring pain just never works with her slaps.

"Hey Anna, after the singing is done want to go to the temple." You ask quietly, "I know the large crowd would be difficult for the both of us but...a temple is the best place to speak of wishes. It doesn't even matter if prayers would help you control your powers. If you want I'll simply destroy any Oni that comes up, or take you away from there."

Anna blushes and replies, "Sure."

The two of you once more settle down and listen to the songs as the new year draws ever closer.

Xx.xX

As the two of you head to the temple, you calm Anna's worries down and tell her that it doesn't matter if there is trouble or not, if she never takes that first step how will she be able to control her rampant power.

There is always a way, you just have to realize it. This is what you wished to impart to her, the girl who had been repeatedly wounded emotionally and only now is her heart opening up once more.

When the two of you reach the boundary area of the temple both of you clutch your heads in agony. The hopes and worries of the people at the temple overwhelming the two of you.

Through blurry eyes, you see Matamune battling an Oni nearby, it was the same one that escaped you, however the cleaved limb had regenerated and looked as if it was bulging with muscles. It's body also seemed to be turning into a brilliant crimson.

You and Anna let out a scream as Oni start to congregate around you and the Greater Demon, attracted to the emotions passing through the two of you thanks to your Reishi.

Immediately as the lesser demons congregate the larger monster begins to devour them, absorbing their negativity to feed itself and grow more powerful.

"Aaaaaaaaah!!!!" You and Anna scream in agony as more and more Oni gather and are devoured.

Soon enough the Greater Oni's appearance had completely changed. The devouring of countless lesser Oni had transformed it into an Oh-Oni, a King Ogre.

As soon as the Oh-Oni took form, the agony you and Anna were under quieted, apparently its devouring of the countless Oni reduced the number of emotions flowing into the two of you.

You both could only stare, the size of this beast was greater than anything you've encountered or read about.

Smirking the Oh-Oni jabbed a finger at Matamune, poking him with enough force to send him flying back.

A short battle between the Oh-Oni and Matamune ended as the split-tailed cat spirit was pummeled into the nearby woods. Despite its massive size, the Oh-Oni possessed speed rivaling its brute strength which was too much for Matamune.

Au Revoir Mount Osore Part 5
You had made up your mind. Fighting it was suicide right now, your oversoul wouldn't be able to match the Oh-Oni. Anna can't banish it because Reishi is affecting both of them making it hard for them to obtain the right mindset be banishing the Oni, not only that but you can't even hope to banish it as you don't have the training for it.

Thus the only option was to subjugate the Oh-Oni.

Pulling out the 108 bead rosary grandma gave you as a birthday present years ago, you begin to use it as a makeshift medium for subjugation.

Your innate skill and talent were grand. You were confident that even though the Oh-Oni was stronger than yourself, and highly intelligent from what you can feel, you could force it to submit to your will.

At a very young age you submitted yourself to torture, your steel will forged by your blazing determination.

Rosary in one hand you dash towards the Oh-Oni even as Matamune recovered and moved to attack the demon.

The massive demon focused on Matamune first and foremost as you didn't summon an oversoul unlike the last time you saw this demon, especially since it seemed like Matamune was using creating an oversoul using himself.

As Matamune's demon exorcising blade cleaved off the Oni's arm, the same one you had cut ironically. However the demon was smug, as Matamune had wasted a lot of the Furyoku that makes up his body in that attack.

However as the demon moved to flee, planning to use you and Anna to recover. Yet it was shocked to see you leaping into the air at it with a rosary in hand.

Swinging the rosary you loop the beads around the Oh-Oni's neck you begin to incant a demon subjugation chant as you mold your furyoku to bind it to you.

The demon tries to fight, it giving a feeling that you, it's 'father' was betraying it. However you are simply punishing a disobedient child by taking away some privileges.

Pulling the rosary as you finish the chant, you dispel the furyoku which lets the demon affect the physical world.

The Oh-Oni without the furyoku making it an Oversoul was now just a spirit, albeit a powerful one.

Since the Oh-Oni took too long to struggle against you, you had plenty of time to force its will to bow to your own. The spirit was now sitting down on the ground pouting like the petulant child, and considering it was a Demon born of Anna's loneliness you can guess why it was like that.

It initially considered as a threat to its self-proclaimed position. Hence why it attacked you. Yet when you along with Anna ended up bringing countless demons to it, the demon started to consider you its father.

Thus you take advantage of that fact and sternly say, "Bad, boy."

The demon flinches back slightly as you continue, "Making your mother miserable is not a good way to get her to love you."

"Sorry father." Oh-Oni said ducking its head, this caused Anna to light up like a christmas decoration and Matamune to blink.

"I'm not the one you should apologize too. Your mother suffered a lot, and while you were made from her loneliness you don't need to make her lonely. So as punishment you're going to apologize to your mother and do whatever she says until she feels you should no longer be punished." you say before grabbing the demon's hand and comically drag it to in front of Anna and say, "Come on, apologize to your mother."

"Sorry, mother." The demon muttered sorrow lacing its voice, the subjugation clearing its mind from the sheer negativity that made it.

Anna shook, vibrantly blushing, before without warning you and the Oni were sent flying. Anna's left hand was smoking from the force imparted to send the two of you flying.

Getting up she declares, "Come on we're heading back to the Inn!"

Smiling you can feel that while she was wary of the Oh-Oni, after all it caused her a lot of suffering, yet she trusts you. Her slap was mainly from embarrassment, and damn did it hurt!

"Come on, kiddo. Better listen to your mother." You say with a chuckle as you get up and follow Anna, the Oh-Oni not to far behind you. Matamune was also chuckling.

Xx.xX

Three days had passed since Oh-Oni had been subjugated.

You and Anna ended up working together to make a stuffed paper doll in his likeness, with you letting keep the doll and Oh-Oni as she doesn't have a spirit partner of her own.

Oh-Oni himself was a rather calm individual, if overprotective, without the negativity coming from Anna's Reishi flowing into him.

Anna also ended up putting Oh-Oni to good use, mainly by having him carry any shopping bags or packages whenever she had to go into town.

You are currently on the train back to Izumo and the Asakura Mansion. Your relationship with Anna had ended up on a high note as you wished her the best of luck in her training and that you hope to see her again someday soon.

What will you do once you get back home?

Complete Onmyoudou and Holy Fuck!
The first thing that happened when you returned home was that you were gifted by Grandpa with the Guardian Spirit, Dai-Tengu better known as Emperor Sutoku one of Japan's Three Great Demon's a being of similar strength of Tamamo's true form.

You were supposed to be given this by your father, but he was in the hospital due to you knocking him off a mountain.

Xx.xX

[1d100+11=101. Critical! 1d100+11=25. Total 126]

[126*11*36*37*2=3692304 Furyoku]

This year you decided to stay inside the Iron Maiden for a full 11 months. Throughout this period of torture you feel a greater pleasurable feeling then last years...maybe you should ask grandpa about it.

This time you feel your Furyoku greatly surpass Tamamo-no-Mae's. Your mastery in Asceticism having having greatly improved the effects of your training.

Xx.xX

After your time in the Iron Maiden you decide to practice your skills in art.

[1d100+9=81]

[Art Skill 20 increased to Art 40]

You managed good work as your practice has led you to learning how to properly shade and draw faces. Not only that but you managed to increase your drawing speed again.

As a side effect your imagination has grown.

[Imagination now at 20]

Xx.xX

Following your lessons in art you work on training in Bajiquan.

[1d100+12=57]

[Bajiquan 5 increased to Bajiquan 15]

You continue to practice learning the art of Bajiquan. However you only managed to refine your movements slightly and learn how to properly kick something without falling on your ass.

Xx.xX

Finally you spent the rest of the year learning from the Cho-senjiryakketsu

[1d100+11=102. Critical! 1d100+11=35. 137]

Through thorough study you had managed to master the techniques written by your brother.

You managed to learn Fumon Tonkou, a technique that renders most Furyoku based attacks useless so long as your opponent is not calm while you are.

However that wasn't the only technique you learned. You had also learned the Gouma Chouboku technique which helps in the subjugation of unruly spirits and the Jugon Zonshi spirit healing technique which bolstered the effectiveness of your shamanic healing.

Finally you were able to further your divination talents even further to the point where you are right practically all the time.

Yet that was not all you could feel that your talents in the art of Onmyoudou have resulted in changes in the world around you.

[Demon Lord Under Heaven has evolved into Demon King of the Sixth Heavenly Palace! Your ability to utilize and deal with 'Demon' or 'Evil' spirits has been doubled.]

[New Trait unlocked! General of the Night Parade: 'Demon' or 'Nature' spirits generally will be willing to speak with you provided you are not fighting their Shaman partner. Bonus to diplomacy with 'Demon' or 'Nature' spirits.]

However you know the greatest result was from your Furyoku training.

[Yohmei's Present. 1d100=94]

This year, your grandfather had heard about you working on Bajiquan and got you its companion art, Piguaquan.

You had heard of the skills of one martial artist who mastered both Bajiquan and Piguaquan and was so skilled that he needed no second strike.

Thus you glomped your grandfather.

[Kino's Present. 1d100=17]

Unfortunately she was busy training Anna to reach her full potential so she hadn't had the chance to get you a present.

[Keiko's Present. 1d100=81]

Your mother ended up getting you some books on Music and Writing.

[Can now Train independently on Music and Writing]

[Mikihisa's Present. 1d100=20]

He ended up getting you nothing due to being too busy training his apprentice, again.

[Anna's Present. 1d100=48]

You fiance ended up getting you some Amayaringo CD's to go alongside your collection.

[Furyoku: 1d12=4]

[Furyoku Effectiveness: 1d100+11=108, Critical. 1d100+11=15.]

This year you only spent, four months in the Iron Maiden. Of course with your Furyoku levels as ridiculous as they are now you shouldn't have problems handling multiple spirits of Kami Class power.

[123*4*41*38*2=1533072]

Honestly your Furyoku levels are obscenely absurd especially for a twelve year old. Of course you finally found out why you kept feeling pleasure when you were being impaled by the spikes of your Iron Maiden.

You are a Masochist.

[Trait obtained! Masochist: Pain gives you pleasure.]

After your time in the Iron Maiden you decide to work on art.

[Art: 1d100+10=99]

You managed to make a lot of progress in learning Bajiquan and Piguaquan, especially considering you do not have an actual teacher.

You managed to learn all sorts of chop, hammer blow, elbow strike, and swing manoeuvres and the rotational movement needed to bring out their power.

Not only that but you also managed to increase how instinctive these moves are.

You also managed to increase your balance.

However, that was not all you learned, you also ended up learning how to use Furyoku, your inner chi, to increase the damage your hands and feet do.

[New Trait Unlocked! Heightened Chi: A basic Chi technique that increases the damage one's physical blows does.]

When you showed your parents your progress to your family they ended up calling you a true blue prodigy.

After your training in martial arts you decide to take some lessons from Tamamo.

You listen intently as Tamamo teaches you about how to act around Nobility, how economics worked, and how to write and play music.

School and the Sessho-Seki Collected
At school you decide to focus on socializing with your peers.

[Socializing: 1d100=95]

It was fun talking with others, even though your Reishi told you their secrets and desires. You just pretended not to know such things, though it did help you avoid bullies and such.

Thanks to your Reishi you were able to easily manoeuvre talks and social groups.

However you had to actively attempt to ignore your Reishi so as to try and prevent being overwhelmed by the amount of emotions and thoughts you sense and read.

[Social (Common) skill increased by 10]

Of course school itself was interesting and you learned all sorts of things.

[+5 to History, +5 Math]

Xx.xX

Once summer came around you had decided to go hunting for the other two fragments of Tamamo's Sessho-seki.

You had earlier divined the locations of the remaining two fragments, so you just had to reaffirm the locations.

They were still in Toshima Tokyo and Yamato Takada, Nara.

Thus you travelled to to the locations and negotiated for the fragments to be placed into your care.

Luckily for you the Asakura Clan still holds plenty of sway over Japan's spiritualists. Thus you just had to pull in some favors from your familiar in exchange for this year presents.

[Attained remaining 2/3 of the Sessho-Seki]

After gaining the remaining fragments of Tamamo's Sessho-seki you head back to the Funbari Inn and prepare for the next school year.

It took you all summer to fix the Sessho-seki as you didn't want to accidentally damage it further than it was.

Once the Sessho-seki was completed Tamamo was able to reclaim her full power.

Not only that but you could now use the Sessho-seki as an Oversoul medium to cast a potent curse on the surrounding area's.

Third Year, and Finishing the Trio
As you go back to school you decide to focus on improving your writing ability.

[1d100=93]

[Writing skill has increased to 55]

You enjoy working on your writing, both increasing how fast you write and the quality of your writing's appearance and its contents.

You classmates have commented that with your story idea's and art skill you could be a mangaka, you decide to bought some thought into it after all you're a quick artist and a decent writer.

[Can now work as a Mangaka]

[Imagination is now at 80]

Xx.xX

Once summer gets about you decide to exorcise the ghosts within the inn, first.

...Mainly because you fully expect your fiance to move in once she finished her training and comes to hunt you down.

[1d100+30=124]

Exorcising the various ghosts was easy, the only one you had problem with as the perverted old man in the toilet but you dealt with him with a rather heavy handed forced exorcism.

Now your home is nice and quiet, and it won't cost you a single moment in your visits to the nearby cemetery.

After you exorcised your home you head off towards Kyoto in an attempt to find the spirit of Shuten-Doji the Oni Chief and the final member of the Three Great Demons of Japan.

[1d100+50=136]

Luckily you had managed to find the Oni Chieftain and even managed to convince him to join you as a spirit partner.

It had probably helped that you had the aid of Tamamo-no-Mae and Emperor Sutoku, alongside your own ridiculous reserves of furyoku.

Shuten-Doji was a rather powerful Spirit to the point where he was even stronger than Tamamo, if physically inclined due to his nature.

After getting Shuten-Doji on your side, you head back home and to school.

This school year you decided to study independently, specifically you decided to study smithing.

[1d100+6=91]

[Smithing increases to 45]

You managed to learn the basics and can form a lump of metal into the rough shape of a sword, however you weren't going to be making any masterpieces anytime soon.

[Imagination is now 100]

Xx.xX

As the days went by you made sure to visit the local cemetery at night so as to commune with the spirits there and try to get them to pass on naturally.

Yet one day you hear a voice yell, "Of course!"

Turning from your vantage point you see, what could only be described as a kiddie dwarf starting to climb the cemetery gate, your Reishi telling you that despite the bad feeling he has he plans to cut through the cemetery so he can make it to the train on time for him to reach his cram school.

Do you say anything to him as he climbs the gate.

Shooing away a midget
Heading to the gate you call out to the midget and say, "You should be careful in this cemetery."

"Waaah!" yelled the midget in shock, falling off the gate and out of the cemetery at your sudden appearance. Quickly recovering he asks, "Why?" His heart telling you that he was preparing for you to try and tell him a bogus 'ghost' story.

Instead you reply with, "Recently there has been a group of delinquents frequenting this place."

You don't need Reishi to tell that he looks about to question why you were there then and thus you cut him off saying, "The reason I'm here is that I regularly come to give respects to the dead as a Shinto Priest."

The midget looks shocked before looking at his watch and exclaiming, "I'm late!"

He proceeded to bound off around the cemetery instead of through.

He watch him leave for a moment before heading back into the graveyard to continue speaking with the residents.

Xx.xX

Time passes, you see the midget a few times at school but you ignore him.

Instead you simply pay attention to your studies.

However eventually you find an actual group of delinquents within the graveyard.

The bald and chubby one seems to have some sense, as he warns the leader, a young man with a stupid looking hairdo and a boken, about the spirit tied to the grave he had knocked down.

You narrow your eyes when the leader smashed the grave marker he knocked down.

Wooden Sword and your Fiance
You attempt to use Reishi to determine what to say to get them to apologize for disrespecting the dead...however you could find nothing.

Thus with a heavy heart (AN: yeah right), you will resort to force if they don't apologize.

Revealing your presence within the graveyard you say, "I will only ask you all once, apologize to the dead whom you have disrespected and leave this place. If you do not I will be forced to resort to violence."

Unfortunately your rather lithe athletic build did nothing to intimidate the delinquents as they laughed in the face of your threat.

"Ha!" exclaimed the leader, "You! Against "Wooden Sword" Ryu and his gang!" It seemed like this "Wooden Sword" Ryu really didn't you as a threat as he sent some of his boys to scare you away.

You promptly throw both goons into the ground without bothering to pay them any attention, you proceed to do the same with the rest of the gang.

"You!" "Wooden Sword" Ryu mutters darkly before exclaiming, "How dare you humiliate my boys like that! Horiaaaah!"

With a warcry Ryu charges at you swinging his wooden sword with reckless abandon. You however manage to easily dodge Ryu's attacks before grabbing a hold of his arm and slam him head first into the ground.

Dusting your hands you then round up all the thugs and throw them out of the cemetery. As you leave however you feel gratitude from the samurai ghost whose grave was desecrated.

Smiling you give him a small wave as you leave.

Xx.xX

After the entire spectacle in the cemetery you continue to live your days with little interruption.

As time goes by, Anna had managed to finish her training and moved in with you after transferring to your school, she even openly announced your engagement with her in order to keep boys from hitting on her and to get girls to stop if they tried in the first place.

She rather liked the inn the two of you live in, even though it is slightly run down looking from the outside, the facilities were decent.

Well that and she had the brilliant idea of running a hot springs inn some time after moving inn.

Do you want to do anything to help supplement the inn's future income?

[ ] Work as a Diviner/Fortune Teller at the inn
[ ] Become a Manga Artist/Writer, you like to draw and write after all. Besides inn's that house famous people tend to have great business, right?
[ ] The inn won't need you to supplement it with another job.

After Anna's arrival things once more stabilized until-

[ ] You decided to check out a rumor about a crying sword.
[ ] Wooden Sword 'Ryu' Strikes again.
[ ] A Half-pint with a lot of anger issues appears.

Xx.xX

AN: Whelp done, sorry its short, but boring SoL what can you do.

As always; tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how you guys are feeling about the quest, and your votes.

Also for why this is slightly late, here's a hint: FOOTBAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!!!!

The Cying Sword
You figured that you could work as a Diviner at the Inn to help bring in customers of all kinds...though you may need to increase the size of the inn as it could be considered rather small, at least if most of your customers stay the night at the inn.

Anyways you decided to head to the local museum to see the rumored 'Crying Sword' when you arrive you find a heavily damaged sword that was said to belong to 'The Demon' Amidamaru.

The sword wasn't just rusted or chipped, it possessed deep cracks running all around its blade.

As you gazed at the blade you could definitely feel the presence of a spirit, though it was highly muted at the moment.

You figured the secret behind the mystery would be revealed at night, when the sword supposedly 'cries'.

Thus you informed the museum curator of you status as an official Onmyouji and ask him for permission to stay within the museum to get to the bottom of the 'Crying Sword' phenomenon.

Once night fell you finally saw the spirit that was haunted the sword as it cried.

The spirit was of a thick shouldered adult, most likely a blacksmith considering his garb and the hammer he had in his hands.

As he cried softly over the sword, your Reishi picked up on his regrets, on how he failed to meet up with his friend Amidamaru and give him the very blade he was shedding tears over. The belief that because of his failure his friend died.

While you can read the spirits, Mosuke's, heart you do not know who Amidamaru is. The only ghost that might be him would probably be that solitary samurai spirit in the cemetery but what are the chances that he'd be buried here, if at all?

How do you plan to solve this?

[ ] Confirm the identity of the Samurai first
[ ] Talk with Mosuke
[ ] Just Exorcise the spirit.

Xx.xX

AN: Once again short but meh.

As always: tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

The Samurai
You decided that before you say anything to Mosuke it would be best to confirm whether his friend was still here before getting his hopes up...besides worst comes to worst you can always have Anna summon Amidamaru's spirit.

Leaving the graveyard you immediately head to the Funbari Graveyard and sought the the samurai spirit.

When you reached the spot where the samurai sat and waited, your reishi told you he was waiting for his friend to arrive just like they promised.

Deciding that, what you just learned was enough evidence you decide to prove without a doubt your suspicions and asked the samurai, "Hey. Is you name Amidamaru?"

The samurai turned to looked at you and said, "Why do you wish to know?"

"My name is Yoh Asakura, current heir to the Asakura clan of Shamans. Before coming here tonight, I went to investigate a rumor about a crying sword. When I arrived I felt the presence of a ghost, it wasn't until night came and the spirit appeared crying over the sword." you reply which leads to the samurai raising an eyebrow as if asking you to get to the point so you continue, "Due to a unique ability I possess, I learned the reason why the ghost was haunting a heavily damaged sword and crying over it. The reason was because he was late to a meeting with his friend and thus could not deliver to him the sword he made for him. That friends' name was Amidamaru."

At this the samurai's eyes widen, your reishi telling you that he had a suspicion on who the ghost was, but did not wish to get his hopes up.

Grunting the samurai says, "Indeed my name is Amidamaru. I stay here waiting for my friend, Mosuke the Blacksmith, as we agreed to meet one more time. When you see him again please tell him I still wait, that is if the spirit that haunts the sword you spoke of is indeed my friend."

With that Amidamaru turned to look at the sky and continue his wait.

Smiling you head back to the museum, unfortunately as you walked the sun had begun to rise signalling that soon Mosuke's spirit will hide itself once more.

You now have a choice, do you give Mosuke a short message, or do you come back the following evening to tell him everything.

[ ] Give Mosuke a short message, no more than five words.
[ ] Head back the following evening so you can talk to Mosuke in depth.

Xx.xX

Short again, but hopefully the fight proper will result in longer updates.

Also I've been thinking of taking Sunday's off of updating my quests for some short, fun writing projects, like replying to Corruption RPG.

Finally; tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

Night of the Smith
You decide to head back home before coming back the following evening so you can tell Mosuke what you found out completely and so you can help him pass on.

After returning home you inform Anna about exactly what you were doing this night and that you might be gone the following evening as well. She took this relatively well, only slapping you once.

You return to the museum after school the next day and inform the curator that his 'Crying Sword' problem should be gone soon, you just had to spend the evening looking into some things so you could help the spirit pass on.

Once evening comes around you catch Mosuke's attention before telling him that Amidamaru still waits for him atop that hill.

Mosuke snapping out of his funk asks how do you know this, and you tell him that you are a Shaman and then describe Amidamaru in perfect detail as further proof.

You ask Mosuke if he'll be going to meet up with his old friend now that he knows his friend still waits, only for Mosuke to reply that he cannot as the blade he was going to give Amidamaru is a damaged wreck and he couldn't show his face to his friend by presenting this sword in its current state.

This represents a problem, mainly on how you're going to overcome this.

[ ] Use Spirit Unity with Mosuke before taking him and the sword to a nearby smithy.
[ ] Just drag the idiot to Amidamaru, his friend is waiting for HIM not a sword.

Xx.xX

AN: Mosuke and Amidamaru nearly done and we're one step closer to the shaman fight.

As always; tell me of any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

Feudal Era Idiots
With a sigh, you figure you might as well help the spirit fix up the blade so he can keep his word, it will make it easier to drag him to Amidamaru after all.

Taking Mosuke and the sword, whose name you learned was Harusame, to a nearby Smithy you perform Spirit Unity with the deceased Blacksmith in order to begin to repair the sword.

[Smithing now at 50]

It had taken most of the night but you and Mosuke managed to repair the heavily damaged Harusame.

You then take both the blade and Mosuke with you to Amidamaru. The two spirits promptly decked one another in the face and began yelling at one another as soon as they saw each other.

You didn't need Reishi to understand that both of them missed the other, it was mainly said by the fresh tears in their eyes.

After they were done shouting at one another they had begun to pass on, as they did so however they thanks you for your help in letting them keep their promise.

You then returned the sword to the Museum curator and told him the true story of Amidamaru, and that the spirit haunting Harusame had passed on.

You then go on to continue to live your life.

Going to school, returning home, spending time with Anna, and sleeping. This is the routine you perform day to day.

Eventually-

[ ]A midget with a halberd attacks you...he also has anger issues.
[ ]The announcement of the Shaman Fight arrives.

Xx.xX

AN: Whelp Amida-kun and Mosuke passed on. Next.

Angry Chinese Midgets
You had quite the peaceful time after helping guide the spirits of Mosuke the Blacksmith and Amidamaru the Samurai to the afterlife.

However it was not to last as while you and Anna were having a small date at a diner, you both sensed a deep rage coming from in front of the diner.

Getting up the two of you look at the source and see a Chinese carrying a case surrounded by thugs.

Apparently the midget damaged on of the thugs' car because it was in his way, and because of the exhaust fumes dirtying the sky.

After the short guys' mini-rant the thugs who initially became scared from the boys words had enough and attacked him, only to be soundly beaten by the midget who apparently knew martial arts.

However as the midget finished beating the thugs, one of the thugs had gotten into his car and started to charge at the boy.

The boy simply looked at the car as it drew near. The midget then threw off his coat revealing a mortuary tablet hidden underneath.

After the tablet was revealed, so to was the spirit that occupies the tablet, a large Chinese General in heavy armor.

With the appearance of the spirit, the boy dropped his case causing it to open to reveal a halberd inside.

With a cry of 'Spirit Unity' the boy temporarily fuses with the Chinese General and puts together the halberd that was in his case, before completely cleaving the oncoming car in half.

As the car was destroyed from being cleaved in half, its driver managed to survive however standing before the driver was the chinese boy looking ready to impale the foolish man.

However before the chinese boy could go through with the act, you appeared behind him one hand holding the spear back.

Looking at him you say,

[ ] "That's enough."
[ ] Write-in

AN: Sorry for the late update, lost track of time. Mainly from reading 'Death March of a Parallel World Rhapsody' and splurging on runawayguys.

Not only that but those of you who follow my Throne of Heroes Online quest will know that I am currently attending college and will hopefully be getting a job soon to supplement my family and my gaming addiction.

As always: tell me of any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is going for you, and your votes.

Talking to the Midget
"That's enough."

The boy turns his head slightly facing you the boy, Tao Ren, speaks and says, "So you finally appeared, Asakura Yoh."

Raising an eyebrow you reply, "So was all this done in hopes of getting my attention? If so I'll have to inform you that I'm already happily engaged."

This causes Tao Ren to blush with absolute rage and ground out a rather loud, "You!"

"Anyways, can I ask that you stop making such a sign, you had just interrupted my date with my fiance and if you don't stop one or both of us will kick your ass out of the country." You continue sounding rather nonchalant.

"I don't give a damn about you or your fiance! I am here because I want those Spirits of your! I Tao Ren will become the next Shaman King, but in order to do that I need strong spirits such as the ones you have obtained. So hand them over!" Tao Ren, demands, honestly he is annoying, especially as a shaman.

He seems to be little more than a ball of rage and a desire for power.

So how are you going to deal with him and his demand, especially since he's now pointing a halberd in your face.

[ ] Ask Anna if she wants to beat into him for ruining their date.
[ ] Pound him with one of your spirits, and which one.

Xx.xX

AN: Sorry it's short but honestly Shaman King was/is kind of meh in the beginning.

As always; tell me about any spelling errors, way's to smoothen things, how the quest is treating you, and your vote.

The Power of Fluffy Tail Compels You!
You simply look at the chinese shaman before you before pulling out the Yata no Kagami, not that most people if anyone would be able to tell it was the real deal, and slap aside Ren's halberd, knocking him off balance slightly, however it was enough for you.

Performing an Oversoul using Tamamo you enter Ren's guard and slam the spiritually enhanced mirror onto his skull.

You would remark something about the power of fluffy tail, but you don't want to embarrass Anna so you keep quiet.

The blow to the head further disoriented Ren as you bring the Mirror up and nail him on the chin, laying the young shaman out cold on the ground.

Putting the mirror up, you grab a hold of one of the unconscious boy's legs and drag him behind you as you walk over to Anna and ask her to call your grandfather in order to ensure that Tao Ren is properly punished for his conduct and deported.

Honestly it was just a nuisance to deal with.

After your mother and Grandfather appear and take Ren off your hands, you and Anna reschedule your date.

Hopefully this time someone won't cause you any problems.

[ ] The Comet's Arrival
[ ] Meeting the Shaman Fight Judge
[ ] First Fight in Tokyo

Xx.xX

AN: Short, but you guys know why. Anyways the options are mainly when in the Shaman fight do you want to start off at.

Also feel free to tell me when using Tamamo whether you want to use Yoh or the Mirror, that way I can tell if you want to fight using Tails or Mirror. I'll also need someone to confirm for me whether or not Yoh was 16 when the Shaman fight started.

Anyways; tell me about any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is treating you, and your votes.

Twins of Destruction
It's been roughly two years since your fight with Tao Ren, you are 16 now nearly into High School.

However this night was a special night.

Not only were you and Anna looking at the stars together, but you were gazing at to stars in specific.

Ragoh and Keito, the Twin Stars of Destruction.

Said to come every 500 years to announce the start of the next Shaman Fight.

You know without a doubt that you'll find your brother in the Shaman Fight, your determination to bring him home is at its peak.

It is in silence that you and Anna watch the fleeting stars as they zoom across the night sky, calling all Shaman's to the location of the next Shaman Fight, right in Tokyo.

Soon enough you and Anna head back in, so as to prepare for the next day.

Xx.xX

Morning came, and classes flew by.

As you walked around Tokyo you feel a thought.

Someone is on the look out for Shaman's who have come to participate in the Shaman fight.

You look for the source of the thought and found a young man will long hair selling authentic Native American goods.

Blinking for a moment, you decided to talk to him.

"Hello." You say looking at some of the man's wares, while letting bits of your Furyoku leak out in a controlled manner.

The man stares at you intently from behind his sunglasses and replies, "Hello to you to. Anything catch your fancy?"

"I dunno, you have anything that a guy could give his fiance as a gift?" You answer still gazing at his wares.

He is mildly shocked, but quickly shakes it off and points to several necklaces and bracelets that were made to symbolize love and luck in marriage while saying, "Congratulations, then young man. Not manner are ready for that step so young."

Smiling you reply, "Thank you. While our marriage is originally arranged, we do love one another."

That said you buy a few of the trinkets for Anna along with a matching set for yourself.

Thanking the man once again, you begin to walk off. Tamamo appearing by your side and gushing over you and how the man probably ripped you off.

The man gazes at you as you converse with Tamamo subtly before he got distracted by a Police Officer wanting to see a permit to peddle his wares.

Xx.xX

That night you were laying on the ground were Amidamaru's body was laid to rest.

You get up when you felt the presence of that vendor as he came onto the hill.

"Hello, Mr. Vendor, or should that be Mr. Official? Either way, thank you for the charms, Anna loved them." you say turning to face the Official.

"Hoh. Interesting, and you welcome." the man replies before continuing, "As you have already surmised I, Silva, am an Official of the Shaman Fight in Tokyo sent by the Patch Tribe. I'm here to test if your worthy enough to participate in the Shaman Fight."

"So what are the rules?" You ask smiling as you prepare yourself for Silva's test.

"Simple, with any attack all you have to is hit me once." Silva replied.

"Alright then, prepare yourself Silva of the Patch, I Yoh of the Asakura Clan will surpass your test." You declare ready to attack Silva as he removes the mantle he currently had on to reveal his battle uniform.

How will you fight Silva?

[ ] OS Tamamo with the Yata no Kagami.
[ ] OS Tamamo with your Body.
[ ] OS Dai-Tengu with a paper Talisman.
[ ] OS Shuten-Doji with some of the Oni beads you got from Grandma.

Xx.xX

AN: And done. The Shaman fight is about to start people. First up hitting Silva.

As always: Tell me of any spelling errors, ways to smoothen things, how the quest is treating you, and your votes.
