That actually brings up another possibility. I wonder if Las can stock up on other forms of currency or valuables? Once the imperial currency goes kaput, Minda is going to need a reserve of something else to keep the economy afloat.
The destruction of the first Death Star should be a good enough excuse to "safeguard against economic instability" given the Death Star blew up the economy as well as planets. Heck Minda might end up being a beacon of financial stability in this part of the Outer Rim.
If he is quiet about it he could probably create a strategic reserve of Aurodium to make into tradable ingots, the galaxy used to have the Aurodium standard before the Republic partnered with the galactic banks to make the Republic credits.Best bet would be to issue his own local currency and have the guild act as a currency exchange as well. That way when imperial currency dies and everyone starts setting up their own, he will not only be ahead of the curve, but be ready to facilitate exchange between them. All without his direct input and thus further failing upwards.
