2) We can also get in touch with the Japanese pantheon. The fact that we're trying to rebuild a Japanese god's power would probably gain us a fair bit of good will.

3) We can dip into Lore charms and pick up the First Lore Excellency, God-Mind Algorithms, and Firewall-Defying Method. Then we go on a rampage across the internet and hack the accounts of terrorist cells and other groups who could use a good bankrupting and who will be helpless to defend against a Solar hacker.

Gifted Excellency - Essence Domination

This Charm is a combination of all three basic Solar Excellencies. Only one of them can be selected and used at each activation, and they are not stackable in the same action. The target can use this Charm for any relevant roll that include an Ability in which he has at least one dot.

Afterall if we're trying to help out the shrine might as well go all the way in. Plus the money, connections to the Japanese pantheonon, and getting closer to the OCC will only help us out in the future.

It gives them the three excellencies for every ability for as long as their mote pool lasts. Excellencies are basic charms that alter the way you throw dice when you use an ability. They are prerequisites for many charms in most charm trees but the Transfer ability doesn't give them the ability to buy Solar charms.

The First Excellency of any given ability allows you to throw more dice, usually one die per mote. This makes your effects more powerful and is useful for things like attack rolls where you want as many successes as possible. The Second Excellency allows you to add successes to your die rolls at a cost of 2 motes for one success. This is useful for abilities where lots of dice don't make the success bigger -- either you succeed or you fail.* The Third Excellency just allows you to reroll a failed roll, and is generally considered not useful for reasons I'm not clear on.

*Lore would actually benefit more from this charm than from the First Excellency, now that I think of it.

There are no rules covering programming languages in Shards so far as I can see. The only place languages are mentioned in the Lore charms is in Solar Parser Technique, and that one allows you to program anything so long as the code is written in a spoken language you understand, meaning Japanese or English rather than Java or C++.

Days which will be well worth the effort. A modelling career would be far too much of an investment and get us too little in resources to be worth our time, and as soon as we need to spend that time on something else our cash flow dies instantly. But investing in hacking powers allows us to max out our resources score whenever we need it. It's still an investment, but it's an investment which will keep us filthy stinking rich for as long as we want.

Also those days of effort can be spent at our convenience. A modelling career is a 40 to 50 hour work week at minimum, and you don't get to pick your own hours or just quit whenever you want, not if you want to get hired again. Besides which, I'm pretty sure we're too young to be holding down a job in the first place.

The trigger seemed to be when Rias tried to have sex with Issei to get out of engagement but was stopped by Grayfia.

Was Rias about to marry Raiser some time in the near future? I.e. if Issei continues to keep Rias at least a certain distance away, is there any reason to suspect Raiser would show up in the next week?

Just to clarify Smuthunter you want us to ask Rias for help because it'll save us time? So we don't have to spend ours, or our girl's, time directly to try & recruit people?

I'm not opposed to that, but it seems like a relevant post given the number of people voting on an alternative plan.

I want to ask Rias to help us out because the peerage gives us a few extra hands that we can count on to help out. I'm not sure how much help the Japanese pantheon will be -- it's possible we haven't made enough of a name for ourselves to meet with anyone important, so I'm covering our bases from several angles to make sure we don't waste a post on an action that gives us minimal progress towards this goal. Also Rias is our employer and it's polite to let her know what's going on when we interact with non-devil factions.

Not exactly. Rias came to Issei because Issei because she remembered it and tried to break out of it that way. Then, what happened was that the wedding was decided to happen earlier. But they offered Rias one last 'chance' to break out of it, by a Rating game. She was expected to lose however.
