Actually speaking of those two. Who wants to bet that they'll be ones from the church/Angel faction to contact us.

After all we're Rias contacted magician and are about to undergo special training with Azarael. So the angels are probably going to want to get close to us.

Irina is our childhood friend so that would be a good angle to use her in order to learn more about us.

I come in peace from SB. This great quest lured me to this forum. Alexander, you are awesome.

There is a crackpot theory in my skull. It wants to fly free. It is a possible avenue of approach that may bring Blake Belladonna (from RWBY) into the story pretty much seamlessly.
It's somewhat obvious that Blake would be a Nekomata in DxD terms, thus creating a possibility of her being connected to Koneko. The connection may be either familial (three sisters instead of canon two), or social.
In case the Quest Master wants to keep RWBY expies isolated from the supernatural before meeting Issei, she could be... actually I have no idea.
What do you think?

I don't quite understand what you are trying to imply, can you explain it more?
 
He's saying to introduce Blake from the Rwby verse *same place that Ruby and Yang came from* into the story by making her related to Koneko and Kuroka.
 
While I'm all for Blake being introduced, and her being another Nekoshou, I don't think she should be another sister to Koneko and Kuroka, but that's just me ^^
 
Well, it wouldn't be strange for more Nekoshou to still be around than Koneko and Kuroka and for them to not know about one another.

Besides, it'd be interesting to have a pure Nekoshou still around due to the fact that Koneko and Kuroka are Devils now.

It's a decent style, but it's really not all that great for us. It can't be used with armor and the only form weapons are razor whip-swords so we couldn't use it with Boosted Gear either.

It's a shame we can't invent our own Sidereal style. We could get a lot more mileage by inventing a style that tells the story of a harem protagonist rather than sex specifically.

That's me too. The nekoshou are an entire race of beings, they might be rare but they aren't extinct save for the Toujou sisters.
 
Blake would have to be at least somewhat human to have a Sacred Gear though. It might work if she was half Nekomata with one her parents being human though. That's the loophole that let Vali get Divine Dividing.

There is a reason I asked Alexander if we could later on learn to shift Boosted Gear into a set of bracer's, because all the SMA are mostly unarmed/unarmoured I believe.


That way we could still have out overdrive pools, and maybe, if Alexander is nice still use a Specialization (Boosted Gear), along with (Unarmed), like we could (Fighting Gauntlets) giving 6 extra dice and 6 to our parry DV /laugh I've always enjoyed pulling that trick in game, its one of the nice things about specializations that make them add 1 DV per dot, one of the nicer rulings from the Scroll of Errata, unless I'm misremembering things, I do remember that they do add to DV, but not if its a strait 1 to 1 rate /shrug, its been a while since I've reread that, I'll go have a look later.

Actually she might be Half-Nekoshu half-human.

Alex included Ruby and Yang's weapons by making them Sacred gears.

Specifically those of those of the 4 horseman.

If this continues Blake and Weiss weapons will also be SGs. Which can normally plan be used by those with human blood or used to be human. Barring some very special circumstance like Sai's lion ruler bloodline let use the regulus right after it's original owner died.

And after doing some rereading, I was semi right, 6 dots of Specialisation would raise our Parry DV around 3 points, which is still very nice

I'm pretty sure specializations are capped at three and you can't have overlapping specializations.
 
Then why on earth would you get a specialization in a specific artefact rather then the weapon its based on, it makes no sense at all.

Ah, that explains why I made the mistake I made about it adding 1 DV per dot, the part before that in the Errata talking about Stunt dice does that for defence, that explains how I mixed it up

Who said anything about getting a specialty for Boosted Gear? We would get one for Fighting Gauntlets, or maybe Brawling Aides so we also get the bonus to God-Kicking Boots or whatever BG's equivalent might be.

I seem to remember having a house rule for something like that in a Hunter: The Vigil game. The idea was, you could take a specialization in a type of thing, and then a second specializing in a specific instance of that thing. For example, you have the Firearms skill. You can take up to Specialization 3 in SMGs. Then, you could take an additional Specialization for a specific SMG -- my Uzi, Beatrice, in this case -- up to the rank of your super-specialization (so, if you have Spec 2 (SMGs), the highest specialization you could get for Beatrice would be 2). It still took up a Specialization slot, but allowed you to get up to 6 additional dice for a specific weapon.
 
I was more meaning why offical characters get Specializations in specific artifacts rather then there weapon group, and yeah Croc, that's sounds like how I've always used them, if its wrong /shrug it made the game more interesting, and gave a reason to use specific weapons, and why loosing said weapons was a bad thing.
 
To clarify: IMO, our little Nekomata sisters already have one perfectly good tragic backstory. It would be easy to insert someone else into it.
But I am all for surprises when it comes to creative fiction. I eagerly await Alexander's interpretation of Weiss' wealthy, high class background.

It took me a while to realize QQ has an IRC chatbox. Finding the ignore box was quite diffcult as well.
