Trials of the God-Harem King [Highschool DxD/Exalted] (CLOSED)

Then consider that to be advice for Alex as well. Combining several abilities and saying "to be a real master you need to be good at several of these" is fine. Using that specific list and saying you need to hit every single point on it is absurd. The writer obviously doesn't know what he's talking about for several of these; just off the top of my head, there is no feint action for Larceny to benefit.
I know. That was just the first example I could find to prove my point. Which is: in DxD, you aren't a Master with dots only in MA.

Very good with your omake Megris: REVEAL CASE File 0009 receives 1 Xp.

Welcome to QQ and my quest! :D

Alright, about Epic Attributes for this quest. I am working on them, but I need your input. First is Strength.

*reads Epic Strength stuff*
...It looks broken, but it can be salvaged-ish.
We can buy Epic Attributes when we are E5, (Attribute) 5 for Epic Attribute 1, and then buy moar and moar as our Attribute and Essence grows, until it hits cap at 10, then we can haz Epic Attribute 10 plz?

Or Essence 6 for 2 dots of Epic Attribute, provided that our relevant Attribute is at 6, meaning at S6 E6, we can haz ES1 and ES2?
As our stat and Essence grow, we can buy the other Epic stats?

I should have specified something:

Issei doesn't have access to them. Epic Attributes and Knacks are the counterparts to balance his Charms.

kinglugia said:
Charms are reality warping tricks. Solar ones, for instance, are the results of normal human actions brought up to Eleven at first, and then OVER 9000! at the higher ends.

DxD instead is mostly about power. Supernatural creatures rely more on the basic three: Strength, Dexterity and Stamina; some personal Knack in tune to their nature (dragons have fire breaths, Rias has her power of destruction); and lastly magic.

An Exalt has more potential for versatility, but DxD high-end supernatural creatures are engine of mass destruction.

This system will level the odds, putting powerful but squishy (without Charms) Issei against inherent powerful beings capable of lifting cars and tossing them without the need to spend motes or anything.

What effect does Epic Strength have on the damage of attacks? If it adds to damage like normal strength then we're in perfect-or-die territory with the higher levels.

It adds the automatic successes to calculate the raw damage. You still need to roll after the Soak if against non-objects.

But higher levels are rare, you find them in massive guys like Evil Dragons and Giants. And Sairaorg Bael of course. Guys like Sirzechs rely on powerful energy attacks.

As we reach Higher Essences level Dragon Knacks, and Better Dragon Charms, we are probably going to get better auto-soak effects, Ddraig was in the tier just under Ophis and Great Red after all, which seems to imply that his tricks and abilities are as well, of course i could be wrong.

Okay, now they should be balanced with each other (I think: please correct me if they are not). Remember, Issei doesn't have access to them. They also aren't cumulative.

lol, well, any bitching about our power levels should shut the fuck up now, and we should get to min-maxing the fuck out of ourselves and our minions now I think, if thats what we may have to face in the future /laugh oh fuck my life ^^; Epic Dex 10 Dodge tank, oh god, that will suck so bad

the only thing I can think is that if the enemy's can get something like this, then as we get better we should be able to at least match them so fingers crossed ^^

You realize that people with a 9-10 Attribute can be counted on both hands? And that those with more than one can be counted on one hand, with plenty to spare?

In short: not everyone has free access to them.

Oh no doubts, I also know the way Issei's luck seems to run he's going to piss off at least one of them before the story gets done /laugh ^^ and probably have another trying to get into his pants now that I think about it, here's hoping its not the same one /laugh

Revision. They aren't cumulative, and the automatic successes apply only when there is the need of a roll.

This should be enough. In addition to those DxD Supernatural creatures have the equivalent of Knacks and Boon, such as Rias' Power of Destruction. Those will be defined case by case.

That's still a huge number of bonus successes at high levels, but that is so much better than the previous version. Thanks for reconsidering, Alexander.

Shouldn't there be some hearin range modifiers for epic perception?

Yeah, Scion is insane. Anyway they are high levels for a reason: very few beings possess them. And if you are facing them alone, without preparation...you did something very wrong :'(

No, I think thats kinda a pre-req for Epic Perception, range is how far can I shot with this weapon, like with Exalts the answer is as far as the weapon will let me

reading more, in weapons range its base dif, double it in twice that, up to 4 times after that nothing but magic will make it hit, I'm guessing the whole Auto-success on perception is more, I notice the invisible ninja squid in the koi pond, and less I shot the wings off a fly 1000 miles away ymmv

Yeah. Beyond certain distance real precision becomes nigh impossible.
The only way around this limitation Should be magic - even absurd levels of skill can account only for so much of random factors.

Reading over the thread I just realized we haven't checked on our little flower arrangement project to promote tomofuri-san's shrine. I wonder how that's going?

I just realized something: Siegfried, the DxD character, and Siegfried, the Kenichi character, both have the same hair colour.

Well, I suppose there's nothing that says there just has to be one descendant of a hero around.

Seeing HSDK!Siegfried getting an upgrade is nice in my opinion, he's such a cool guy.

Like at X yards you can perceive Y as if it was right in front of your face.

So you can hear you lover scream halfway across the city under gronud.

He doesn't need an upgrade. Anyone who can shrug off having his neck snapped is badass enough already.

Already considered it.

DxD Siegfried had his hair turned white because he underwent a special training, the same as Freed.
